A cosy and quirky bolt hole for two. Sitting/kitchen/dining room, bathroom and steep stairs to spacious bedroom. Low ceilings give character to this Tudor retreat. The whole space is full of light and sunshine. Great village with shop and two pubs
“This was our second stay at Jo's cottage, after a really lovely few days there last summer we fell in love with the place! Jo's cottage has a beautiful garden and is set in the quiet and tranquil village of Laxfield which has its own community run pub The Low house- which may I add serves good food, nice local beer & has friendly staff. Day trips to Aldeburgh & Southwold are only half an hour's drive away and Orford is worth a visit for a trip to Pump street bakery if nothing else! I love staying here, Jo has got everything right & knows how to treat guests, her thoughtful touches all around the cottage are much appreciated and made us feel very welcome there! Highly recommend!”
A small, quaint, peaceful rural accommodation in an idyllic location in Wilby Suffolk. Exclusive use of a private courtyard garden with BBQ and loungers, further private garden with log cabin and hot tub. Ideally suited to a couple wanting a romantic getaway, people wishing to escape the hurly-burly and perfect for people on a budget who want to relax & experience the humble simplicity & beauty of country life. Separate from the main house, the Shoemakers Studio is private, secluded and quiet.
“Very welcoming hosts place is very quirky and very peaceful lovely hot tub with great views over fields... not overlooked very private and hosts leave you alone to enjoy your time away... nothing was too much trouble I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice peaceful and relaxing time away”
This is a perfectly cosy, self contained detached space in the centre of a beautiful Suffolk village. It is just a few minutes stroll from two characterful and well known pubs, our wonderful village shop and a great little museum. There are lovely walks and cycle rides to surrounding villages and historic market towns like Framlingham and Halesworth. The coast (Southwold, Walberswick, Aldeburgh) is a comfortable 30 minutes drive or for the more intrepid traveller a scenic 14 mile cycle ride.
“Helen and Kevin were such fabulous hosts who greeted us with such a lovely warm welcome. Freddy’s Shed is situated in a beautiful little spot, overlooking the hosts lovely garden, which creates a perfect tranquil setting. The Breakfast which included home made goodies such as marmalade, granola and flap jacks, along with so many other lovely touches to the welcome pack made our stay just perfect. Freddy’s Shed was well equipped and beautifully clean, and had everything to make our stay comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay at Freddy’s Shed again and will recommend it to all our family and friends. Donna and Debbie”
