The newly built living area with kitchen, fireplace & a large sofa – which offers sleeping for an additional 2 people – is connected to the old bee house, where the bedroom & wood-fired sauna (20.00 per person) are located. In the middle of the natural & vegetable garden of the Spicher family lies this small oasis, surrounded by chickens in the old village center of the wine-growing village of Schinznach.

After a rainy bike ride, we had a wonderfully cozy evening in this so lovingly and stylishly furnished accommodation. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful and even helped us with our bike breakdown. Absolutely safe and private atmosphere. I definitely want to go again!

Excellent overnight stop. We had dinner in the wonderful restaurant in the evening, they were fortunately able to accomodate our late request for a reservation. I recommend to others to make a dinner reservation in advance as it seems the restaurant is popular with many, not just those staying in the hotel.

This property does not mention that arriving by car is more convenient. It is located on a hill, 25 minutes walk uphill from the bus stop without a walkway. On our arrival it was dark; a passerby helped with his car. This note is missing from the description and reviews. The host should mark accessibility, alternative routes, and check-in from the dark. The toilet is shared with farm staff and cleaned regularly, which is acceptable. Apart from that, I was very satisfied. Patricia was generous and helpful. My son enjoyed the time here and spoke of coming back after leaving. The value is excellent, so my sincere recommendation.👍👍👍
