Hadrian's Wall & The Lakes, beautiful cosy cottage

MartinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our second very enjoyable stay, spacious, well-equipped, pristine inside and out. Great location on the edge of town so in peaceful green surroundings but also an easy walk to good shops. Great access to the Wall and nature reserves/walking on nearby hills.

Luxurious, romantic cottage with lake view

AbinayaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Loved our stay at their lake front property, Tarn End Cottage. Beautifully furnished and clean. Hosts were very responsive and they were too kind to provide a travel cot for the little one (we didn’t even insist in having one!). Electric charging facility at their car park is functional and we loved it! Private access to the lake was a bonus 😀

Triple-Ensuite Luxury Cottage with Games Room

SaqibRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was our second visit in 10 months and we loved it. The place is amazing and Sophie was just fantastic at communicating. Location is beautiful and private. The property is in excellent condition and really well maintained. This is definitely becoming a regularly destination for us. Can't recommend the place enough.

Luxury Pod - Hazel - Garthside Farm Holidays

JamesRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a fantastic time at Garthside this weekend. It was perfect - lovely clean accommodation with everything we needed and more. The views are lovely but the best thing is the wood fired hot tub which was the highlight of the weekend. We spent many hours in it and the novelty of the wood burner made it fun to use. We made use of the fire pit and the on-site logs and charcoal for a BBQ. For anyone visiting the area, I’d recommend the Howard Arms in Brampton which is lovely for drinks in the courtyard garden and the food menu looks good (even though we didn’t eat out this time round). The Star Anise Indian takeaway was fantastic and they delivered to Garthside and rang us once they had parked in the car park. I’d recommend a 10 minute drive to Talkin’ Tarn too. A lovely natural lake that we rented a rowing boat on, which was only £12 for half an hour. Really fun. Thanks again for the lovely stay at Garthside and we’re looking forward to returning in the future.

Chapleburn Cottage

PaulaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a lovely 5 night stay in this beautiful cottage. It felt like we were in the middle of nowehere but within easy access of beautiful areas- lake district, nothumberland and scotland. There are comfortable beds, lounge areas and log fire a bonus with plenty of logs to use. Enjoyed playing scrabble, and cards in the sun room. Easy access to cottage, parking space outside house, close to nature and wildlife. Friendly, responsive hosts. Unfortunately, we couldn't work the tv in bedroom but hosts were quick to respond to help us try to sort it. A second tv in kids bedroom, works well and a good selection of dvds available. Heating works well and warms the cottage efficiently. Dog bed was a bonus and our pup enjoyed lots of sleeping in it! Treats on arrival for us and the pup which was a lovely welcome. I felt the larger bathroom could benefit from a towel rail adding as no where to hang towels for drying hands/showering. I would love to return here in the future.

Cheerful 2-bedroom cottage in rural location

ClaireRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We would highly recommend a stay here. The accommodation had everything that we needed for our stay and was clean and tidy. The location was quiet and peaceful and perfect for exploring hadrians wall. The hosts were friendly and communicated well. They even informed us when we had checked out that we had forgot someone of our babies things allowing us to come back and collect them before we got too far on our journey home, so thank you :)
