Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Winnipeg

My experience at LaPaix Stays was truly wonderful. The check-in process was flexible, clear, and easy, making me feel at home from the start. The space was spotless — furniture, linens, kitchen, and bathrooms were spotless and well-equipped with everything I needed. The photos and description were completely accurate, matching exactly what I found upon arriving. Jonathan was a thoughtful and responsive host, always available to help and make my stay comfortable. The neighborhood was peaceful, with nearby parks, restaurants, a grocery store, and a gas station. It’s also a short drive away from Kildonan Mall, Costco, Canadian Tire, Walmart, Superstore, Home Depot, cinema, and more — adding even greater convenience. I want to say a big “Thank you” to Jonathan for making my stay so restful and enjoyable. I wish I could give LaPaix Stays more than 5 stars, and I’m looking forward to staying here again in the future!

Little retreat reminds us of the importance of a place like this. To reappreciate what the wild has to share, not only the physical gifts, but the power to recharge the mind and ground the soul. Lovely spot to be integtated once again with the environment from which we all came!

As always, we had an incredible stay with at Tracy's place! She is an excellent host who is very responsive and accommodating.

Our family with a baby and 5 year old had a great time :) we love gimli, and staying somewhere so close to all the action was great for us. We were able to walk everywhere, see the lake, this would be the perfect place in the summer being so close to the water. The absolute one and ONLY thing I would suggest is maybe adding in a foldable crib/ playpen for babies, because this place is the perfect place for families with kids. We had to bring our baby’s bassinet with us which wasn’t 100% ideal. Other than that Nancy and her husband were so nice, the house is so cozy and clean and they literally had everything you’d need! Even condiments in the fridge and spices for food! I loved the cozy throw blankets as well, so perfect for a movie night in :) would definitely stay here again and for long periods of time. We had a wonderful three-day stay at Rachel's place with family and friends. The central location, beachside playground for the kids, and scenic lakeside trails made our visit truly memorable. We highly recommend the boat tours by Graham Cox —they were an absolute blast! Plus, several great cafés and restaurants are just a short walk from the house. The home is ideal for a large family or a few couples, with or without kids. The hot tub was especially magical at night, and the oversized BBQ grill on the deck was a definite highlight. We had such a lovely time at Rachel’s and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

A very clean, spacious apartment with a fantastic view! Just what we needed

I was pleasantly surprised to discover an AirBnB in my hometown. The apartment was exactly as depicted in the photos and exceptionally clean. It was well-equipped, comfortable, and provided a welcoming environment. During my stay, the weather reached an extreme -47°C, and Ollie kindly provided an extension cord for my rental vehicle. The suite was located in the basement, so I anticipated it might be cooler during a Manitoba winter; however, a space heater was provided to ensure my comfort. My only minor concern was the steep stairs leading into the suite, although this was clearly shown in the listing photos. Overall, I would gladly stay here again whenever I return to Neepawa—hopefully during warmer weather next time.

We had a great stay at this location, was close to everywhere we needed to go. The hosts were very friendly, would recommend.

He is so professional. One night, I couldn’t sleep because of the neighborhood noise, but he acted promptly.

This was our third AirBNB in this area and we agreed it was our favourite. Very well laid out for 2 couples. Great kitchen and dining space for cooking meals together. Beautiful bathroom. The hot tub and fuse ball table were lovely perks! So was the gas fireplace. We could keep the space at a comfortable temperatures Although there was not a lakeside view from inside, a quick 30 second walk around the house got us there. Beds were comfortable - one room had a softer mattress than the other which accommodated different preferences. Instructions were very clear with lots of local recommendations. We would come back!

Great place to stay! Didn’t even feel like you’re in the north end! David was really good with the communication, will definitely stay again!
