Enjoy filtered spring water, natural light, stargazing, & views of the tops of Mount Baker and the Sisters on a clear day. Owls and Elk can be heard during the evening hours at certain times of the year. Heat is provided by a wood stove and 3 space heaters. Mount Baker is 1 hour away; Bellingham is 30 minutes. Well-behaved, house trained, and supervised pets are welcome with a per pet fee.

There is a comfortable queen size bed and a tiny but fully functional kitchen and eating area. Composting potty is off of Deck. We provide breakfast cereals, snacks, tea and coffee. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or some time alone this space will provide peaceful quiet seclusion.

The Forested Getaway is in Sudden Valley, a lakeside neighborhood nestled in the forests of Lake Whatcom. Bring your hiking boots or mountain bike and hop on the trail directly behind the backyard. Afterward, jump into the hot tub, or BBQ and relax by the fire pit, or gather together for a cozy night in with board games. Head down to the lake for water fun, a picnic, and the dog park. Or, head out to shop and visit breweries in Bellingham, or to The Sound, for oysters at Taylor Shellfish.
