Our stay at Owl Ridge was great. It is so peaceful. If you are looking for a quiet getaway in a place that is private -or a “staycation” away from home- this is a great place to stay. There are also plenty of restaurants in Wausau if you want to get out of the house. The kitchen is stocked with all of the basics for cooking and grilling (bring your own food, seasonings, etc).

what an amazing location, we absolutely loved how quiet it was, lots of nature even got to see a bald eagle sore across the river, we really enjoyed the fire pit and the outdoor space. inside had that perfect cabin feel, everything was very clean and well put together. We had such a good time at the Lawry Lodge! This beautiful house was able to accommodate 8 of us comfortably. The kitchen is where people hangout, eat good food, and enjoy each other’s company and this kitchen checked all the boxes. Very well-appointed pantry with all the accessories you’d ever need. The view was stunning! We took a nice winter stroll to a nearby pub for an Old Fashioned with gently falling snow to make it perfect. Ronda was very helpful and quick to respond when needed. Very happy to have found this little slice of heaven and hope to be back again someday.

My boyfriend, our dog, and I enjoyed our stay here. It was an amazing time away from home in such a peaceful location. Everything was perfect about our stay and we exploring everything outside of the property and everything that was on the property. We loved walking around the property and enjoying time at the fire pit outside of our hut we stayed at. Bob and Laura were incredibly kind and accommodating towards us and made our stay with them 100% better. The place was beautiful and very clean! This was one of our favorite Airbnb stays as it was incredibly unique and unlike anything we’d seen before!!!
