House holiday rentals in Lake Pontchartrain

My family stayed here for a weekend-long celebration of my birthday, and it was perfect for 10 adults - large well-provisioned kitchen, ample bathrooms, and large comfortable bedrooms. It's worth noting though that 3 of the bedrooms are attached railroad style, which was fine for us. The pool area was also beautiful and chill to relax after a few long days of being out and about. Highly recommend a stay here!

This Location was the absolute best! It really felt like a second home. It was so comfortable, and’s the pool area was a like a dream. I not only recommend this site but also look forward to staying here again. The hosts are really responsive and very accommodating. This was one of the best vacations I’ve ever had!

Everything was exactly as described. Alleshia was very responsive to all inquires. We ended up being there during terrific downpours, so we spent cozy hours indoors. The neighborhood is interesting and some of the properties are undergoing a face lift.

The place was perfect for our needs, hosting out-of-town guests for the weekend. We put two families in the main house together. A few of the bedrooms connect or are pass-throughs, so this worked well for people who are familiar with each other. Even still, almost everyone had their own well-appointed bathroom and very comfortable beds. There are another two stand alone rooms with ensuite bathrooms by the pool as well that have lots of privacy. It's a fun and funky sprawling house, and we were able to pay an event fee to have a few additional guests over for a pool party, which was really perfect and a unique opportunity, as this is not possible at many properties. Daniel and Lauren were very accommodating, helpful and communicative.

This was our second time staying at one of Thomas' properties, and we had another great stay. The home is beautifully decorated and maintained, and has everything you need for an easy and enjoyable stay. Thomas was very accommodating with check-in time and our last-minute request for a pack n' play -- a fantastic host! We found the neighborhood very friendly, and enjoyed the proximity to the Lafitte Greenway (access is just a block away -- we didn't even realize this when we rented the place!) and local businesses like Flour Moon and the Broadside. Highly recommend!

We came here for a family reunion and this place was centrally located around everything!!! We were able to be at the reunion in no time and all the food everywhere was just so wonderful. Everything about our stay was wonderful. The backyard was beautiful and we got to enjoy it the second day (rained the first) and we even had coffee, water, and popcorn for us if we wanted it. Can’t say anything but wonderful things. It was a wonderful weekend!!! This is the perfect place to stay if you want a weekend away to explore what the area has to offer.

We had the best experience at this home! It’s a stunning location. Every window looks out at something beautiful since the house is overlooking water on both the front and back of the house. The host provides everything needed for fishing and a crab cage. We caught 3 crabs and 5 fish and spent very little time or effort trying. Plus there’s a bate shop very close by. The home is a pretty quick drive to the city of New Orleans and a couple other really nice towns. We would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a safe, peaceful, beautiful place to stay while visiting the area.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! The location was perfect for us being in between the busy city of New Orleans for fun stuff to do and the less busy city of Slidell for going to get groceries and etc. great place for fishing of the pier we caught several fish. The house accommodated our group of 7 very comfortable and everything was very nice and comfortable!

This is my go to place in Covington. It is off the street so it is quiet and private. Has a lot of parking at the unit and just blocks away from many great restaurants and the park on the river. Host is very responsive and eager to please.

We had a wonderful experience! The home was beautiful, spacious, and exactly as described. Haley was incredibly friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Great communication throughout, and we felt very well taken care of. Highly recommend!

Thomas was a amazing host the place was everything. He communicated with me throughout the whole process one of the reasons I added a extra day to my stay. The master bedroom room was a dream. This was easily the best Airbnb me and my family have ever stayed it. It's around 40 mins from th city of New Orleans with peaceful surroundings right off the lake. Nice and quiet area and the house is beautiful. This was our first time staying at a lake house and it was everything we imagined it would be. The hosts were also very friendly and accommodating. Will most likely book again in the future.

We had such a wonderful time at John and Karen’s place. They are wonderful people and great hosts. We had an amazing time with them as they took us around Madisonville, showing us a few great spots. Their place is so beautiful and relaxing. It’s magical. We came from California so staying here was an adventure, so different from what we are used to. We fell in love with Madisonville. My family had an excellent stay at this beautiful property. It was stocked with everything we needed, including pool toys and a beach setup. Nice sunrise views from the back porch. Our kids loved the pool, but it was also a very easy walk to the beach, and close driving distance to restaurants and activities in Bay St. Louis & Gulfport. I'm glad we decided to stay in Pass Christian because it was very quiet and peaceful compared to other areas. One thing to be aware of... there is a train fairly close to the property (probably about 200 yards away), but it didn't bother us, and we only heard it during the day (not sure if it passed at night, but if it did, it didn't wake us up). The host was wonderful and responsive. We hope to visit again soon!

Beautifully decorated home just steps to the beach with stunning beach views throughout the entire house. We loved having the golf cart to explore the area and all the extra attention to detail throughout the house really made you feel right at home. From sound machines to fresh flowers, homemade cookies, even fresh fruit to the best bed linens money can buy…Seriously, Teresa has thought of EVERYTHING to make sure you have the very best experience possible! We will definitely be back!

Perfect place to stay in Houma! Perfectly captures the feel of the beautiful bayou country. Home is just like the photos with a modern feel that is very comfortable. Hosts were very helpful when we had a small issue with the door lock. It was fixed immediately. My only suggestion for improvement would be a couple of oven trays and bakeware. Would definitely stay here again 😀

Our stay at this cozy home was enjoyable. It was very clean, newly remodeled with nice appliances and ideally located for us. We were in town for a weekend long family event and this property was less than one mile from the venue. The ceiling fans were the cherry on the top. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were in town for our daughter's wedding. The place was very close to the church, reception venue, hair salon, and any other stores that we needed to get to pick up last minute items. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, situated near the lake. Marcelle was very accommodating and responded to our questions quickly. We had a party of 6 adults, and there was plenty of room for us to gather, relax, and prepare for the wedding without being in one another's way. The home is beautifully appointed, and we had everything we needed to keep groceries and cook meals during our stay. We highly recommend a stay at The Cottage on the Lake.
