Holiday rentals with a kayak in Lake Päijänne

It was our best Airbnb experience. The house is very cozy, well-equipped with attention to detail, and exceptionally clean. The amenities available include a sauna, BBQ area, trampoline, fireplace, bicycles, boat, fishing rod, and various equipment for active games. The lake is amazing, and we even picked mushrooms and berries just a few steps from the house. The host is very friendly and ready to help at any time. The place is quiet and peaceful - an excellent choice, especially for families with kids. Highly recommend!

A wonderfully spacious and bright single-family home that was a good place to stay with a larger group. Our child found good books to read. We saunas and went walking with the dogs on a nearby beautiful ridge with lots of trails. Restaurant recommendations were also great 😀

Overall every good experience staying here. Beautiful and stunning views of the lake and trees x. The sauna is also very good. But watch out if you park your cars at the yard, there are trees and rocks you need to pay attention to.

We spent Midsummer here at the lovely big aunt's house. The accommodation corresponded to the description and was a suitable base for our small family. We'll definitely be back 😊

Beautiful place. Lots of activities for families, such as basketball, paddleboarding, boating, and playing with a frisbee and a badminton racket. Good swimming opportunity. Good cooking facilities with both a gas grill and a wood stove, and inside you will find home cooking facilities. Suitable sleeping arrangements for a small family as well as a visiting family of four. A big plus for well water. Nice views of the lake from the sauna. Everything went well and the hosts responded well to messages and were helpful.

We really enjoyed out stay. The cabin was fully equipped (can’t think of a single thing that was missing), clean and spacious. The surroundings were lovely, especially the lake at a 5 min walking distance. The communication with Alexander went smoothly. We’d certainly recommend this cabin.

Cool accommodation, large, nicely located, very pleasantly furnished with great opportunities to do things! We had a great time, bathed in the lake and also enjoyed the sauna and the hotpot very much! We recommend the wholeheartedly and would be happy to come back!

Great hosts and a great place to stay. The location is beautiful. Located directly at the national park, you can go hiking right at your doorstep. The jetty to the lake is great for swimming. On the covered terrace you sit very comfortably. Asmo and Hannele were great hosts who were always available. We felt very at home.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the cabin for 3 nights! The setting is beautiful and peaceful and the cabin was well equipped with all the amenities. We particularly loved the sauna which is wood fired with a window looking out on the scenery. The interior is a little more rustic than the pictures but absolutely fine and met the description, we were more than happy. The lake is not 6 min walk away but right by the cabin, so you can easily dip after a sauna (15-20 degrees in Summer). Cabin is well equipped for heating and cooling. The grill is great and you don't need to bring anything other than food. There is no real walking trails from the cabin but the row boat was a fun alternative! We visited in June and had no real problems with mosquitos, some around but they didn't harass us on the decking, worth having repellent, especially if you go on the nearby short hiking trail. Irma and the host nearby in the neighboring cabin were very helpful and friendly!

Nice sauna cottage and quiet area 😊 Clear water and shallow, sandy beach. The rowboat was nice to do excursions around the island.

We had an excellent stay. The house is spacious and comfortable. SUP, kayak, boat, and MTB were all available, and all were free to use. The best part was the sauna. A wood-burning stove, where you throw in birch wood and light the fire yourself. The sauna room is also spacious, and you can lie down.It's my first time lying down in a sauna.It's relaxing and warms the whole body evenly. After warming up, dive into the lake from a sauna pier, a common sight in Finland! And I was able to spend my days drinking Ronquero. In June, the outside was bright and it was a little too bright to sleep.

Absolutely idyllic! The house is super contemporary in design making it a luxurious way to spend time on a Finnish lake. Unbelievably peaceful and beautiful surroundings with the best views. The forest is calming to be in and we swam everyday in the lake (June). I’d highly recommend hiring the kayaks as it allowed us to explore the lake in full. For architecture fans, it is 2 hrs drive from Alvar Aalto’s summer house and museum. Johan was the perfect host too - really responsive and provided a comprehensive guide to the house which was easy to follow.

A very beautiful place to relax in silence and enjoy nature. The house and yard had everything you needed, clean and cozy. Definitely plan to go back in the summer☺️
