Holiday rentals with lake access in Lake Manapouri

We had a couple snafus on arrival (all of which were on my end) but I’ve never talked to a more responsive and helpful host. Any issue I had I was able to ask and she helped me figure it out (mostly because I had a hard time learning foreign appliances). This home reminded me a lot of my grandmothers house and I had many fond memories there. It truly felt like a home and not a borrowed location. Would definitely recommend this place to someone else. Thank you for letting us stay!

Beautiful views and great location. Bathrooms were quite updated and spacious and the laundry was too. Perfect for our small family to relax after enjoying the outdoors.

It's a nice home, very cozy and comfortable. The food and supermarket was just a 5 mins drive away and there is also a beautiful lake right down the house. It was a very nice place to rest and relax especially when you are travelling to visit Milford Sound.

My family really enjoyed staying at this very quaint home. It felt like Grandma's house. I especially loved the upstairs living room and the very spacious master bedroom. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. There's also a grassy park across the street for those with children. It is very close to the lake and shopping.

Our family had a wonderful time visiting Te Anau and Milford Sound. The house was a great place from which to base our day trips. The closeness to Lake Te Anau was a plus. We had beautiful vistas all day long. The walking path next to the lake was so inviting and fun for the kids. The house was comfortable with plenty of space for our family of 7. Don’t hesitate to book this Airbnb for your trip to Te Anau and Milford Sound.

We had a great stay at Julian's place earlier this month. It was perfect for our family. We've learned we really need a dishwasher, kitchen, and washer/dryer when traveling with children and this place was perfect. Great location within Ta Anau, 4-5 min drive to anywhere we needed to go. Very easy communication leading up to our stay. Easy check-in process. Easy to get the place warm and cozy at the end of the day. Nothing negative to say. Would recommend Julian's place and would stay here again!

This bnb had what we needed for our quick couple days in Te Anau. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking items and the living room has plenty of seating. While I’m not taking full stars off for these items be forewarned that the bathroom is TINY. The sink is very difficult to use because of its size and water gets everywhere. It wasn’t a big problem for 2 nights but be aware if you’re doing an extended stay. The other item of note was that the single washer/dryer unit was almost constantly in use. We ended up having to take time to just stand near the door to get our clothes in queue.

Justine's place was super cosy. We looked forward to coming back after our long days out in Milford sound. It was clean and comfortable. The area was nice and quiet with other nice properties surrounding. There is a walking track directly across the road which was nice for a short walk in the morning. The place also had great views of the mountains. Justine's place had everything that we needed! Thankyou for sharing your space with us! We will be back again in the future 😀

We had a great stay. The units were as described and clean. We booked 2 adjoining properties with an interconnecting door and this worked well for the size of our group. We also received helpful and prompt communication with enquiries that we had.

We really enjoyed our stay here: it is walkable to a beautiful path along the water (across the street), was very clean and had everything we needed for a one night stay. The small fridge was apparently broken before we arrived and Justine went out of the way to procure a replacement before we arrived, which was appreciated. We would recommend this property!

It was a great stay. Very comfortable and cosy home. Lots of space. Good heating and lights. Host was reachable even at late evening and helped us in best possible way. Definitely recommended for family stay.

Homely and comfortable stay with great amenities!

I loved this cottage. I felt right at home. I liked the extra touches of fruit and cereal along with a great shower. I enjoyed being close to the lake for an evening walk. I would definitely stay again.

Very roomy and comfortable accommodation. Large bathroom with a fabulous tub. We used the washer and dryer…very handy. Heated floors kept the place warm and cosy. Kitchen is well equipped. Would stay there again. Thanks Peter and Yanli.

My son and I stayed at Kathryn's home for two nights while staying in New Zealand for the first time. We went to Doubtful Sound on one day and Milford Sound the second day. She has a sweet and comfortable little home that she was very proud to show us. The beds were comfortable, and we spent quite a bit of time talking together. It was in a quiet neighborhood. She was easy to talk to over the app and in person. This is not a knock on Kathryn but keep in mind there is not much in Manapouri as far as fuel or groceries. It has one restaurant called "The Church" which was quite good but if you need supplies you need to drive 15-20 minutes to Te Anau. I should have done my homework on that. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again if we go back to New Zealand.
