The brick farm house in which you will be staying in overlooks one of our ponds & multiple horse barns. We have many "internal" roads here and hope you enjoy the farm views. Our 5 bedroom house is perfect for families or friends who want to have a getaway to "unplug" and experience the country life and each other's time.

"Lofty Cottage" Adorable 1-Bedroom Guest House

Enjoy this quaint Cozy Cottage with bedroom loft! This adorable 1-bedroom unique place has a style all its own. Built in the 1960’s behind the main house, it has floor to ceiling pine paneling, pine floors and fireplace. It has been recently remodeled with new tiled bathroom , newly remodeled kitchen and stainless steel appliances. A new Heating and Air unit was installed summer 2021. The pine paneling and 16 foot high ceilings gives it that "cottagey" feel.

Such a great stay to explore Richmond as a possible place to live. Good amount of space, cotton crisp sheets, en suite clean bathroom, soooo quiet and plenty of parking. Sarah & Michel & Blue (kitty) are so friendly and welcoming (not to worry, blue isn't in the room). Easy all around, and even my Oura (sleep data) was wondering what I did for so many good night's rest. The location is up and coming, neighbors were friendly and access to all great restaurants, biscuit havens, park walks, museums, etc are within 5 - 15 mins.

Jane seems to rent to rent out the room for the purpose of serving and pleasing her guests. She saw us looking at deer and brought bread so Heidi could feed them. She knew when a cloud burst dumped rain on our walk and met us at the door with large towels for each of us, like a doting mother would do. And she literally gets up so early that she made muffins for us by 6:30 AM each morning! We have been to many Airbnbs and find this one to be tops for our personal enjoyment.

Jen was out of town during my stay but she still provides detailed instructions making my stay seamless. Bill gave me a warm welcome making me feel at home. I am a cat lover so I was happy to interact with some of their feline friends! Bill was a gracious host and I had some wonderful conversations with him. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the shower was warm. All in all I had a lovely stay and will be re-booking if I dive at Lake Phoenix again!

We had a lovely overnight stay at the farm — peaceful, comfortable, and a perfect break in our journey. Maria and Ed were wonderful hosts. We especially enjoyed the morning farm tour where we got to meet the goats, chickens, and alpacas — such a fun experience! Ed also gave us some great brunch spots and local recommendations. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a unique and relaxing stopover.
