Holiday rentals with a patio in Lake Barcroft

This is a great place to stay and tour the DC Metro area - provided you have a car. Most days it would take us 30 minutes to get to and from DC though if we hit rush-hour, it was as long as an hour. The space is tidy and great. My kids love the pool, though it was a little cold for me-they swam there every night. Jennifer is great to communicate if you have any needs she gets stuff done right away. Note that there is only one bathroom, which can be a pain if you have a full house of six people. The washer and dryer are small so it will take you longer if you’re used to a full size. She had all the cooking methods and appliances available. The theater room has Netflix and Amazon prime ready for you to watch a show. There is even a popcorn maker. We did not use the gym, but it was nice - comparable to a small hotel gym. Property is in the owner’s basement, so there is some sound from upstairs as identified in the listing. Host stays out of your way but is there if you need anything.

This was my second stay at this Airbnb, and it was just as fantastic as the first—if not better! Returning felt like coming back to a peaceful little retreat. The space remains just as charming, clean, and thoughtfully put together, with every detail designed for comfort and ease. This time around, I was able to fully enjoy the private outdoor patio, and it truly elevated the experience. Whether sipping coffee in the crisp morning air or winding down with a cocktail in the evening, it quickly became my favorite spot to relax. The hosts continue to go above and beyond—warm, responsive, and clearly dedicated to making every stay exceptional. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Still highly recommend without hesitation!

Great spot close to the airport an DC! The apartment was cozy and very well kept. A+, 5 stars all around!

Amy and her place were lovely for our family of 4. With two littles it worked very well and Amy even had toys for us- we also used her provided pack n play and some baby essentials. King Bed was extremely comfy, moderately firm. Shower was very nice. Cozy, comfy, had everything we needed. Amy was very responsive and helpful. We would gladly come back! Thanks Amy!!

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment as a family of 3. It was comfortable, and peaceful, and as described. The kitchen had enough utensils and amenities to cook home meals. We stayed with a toddler and felt that the apartment was family friendly. The AC worked very well during 90-degree temps. The location is superb and extremely walkable - we walked to King Street or old town Alexandria every day. We were also able to take the metro into Washington DC- very easy walk to the metro. We would stay again next time we are in the area!

Chris's place is in a beautiful, sweet, quiet neighborhood full of beautiful homes and a vibrant community. It is very walkable and we had a great time exploring.

Jillian's place was perfect for my husband and I on a short visit to DC. We loved the location so close to Rock Creek Park on a tree lined quiet street. We did have a car, but carless transport would require a bit of a walk to transit to get to downtown DC. The place is a typical DC daylight basement apartment, so a long stay working from home might not be feel a little claustrophobic. Jillian and her family were very quiet overhead which we appreciated. For a night or two this place is great -comfortable bed, excellent shower, comfortable sitting area and kitchen with enough for our stay. We would stay there again if we are back in DC.

We had a great stay. The amenities gave us all the comforts of being in a home at the end of a long road trip to DC. We could spread out, rest and recover each day after seeing the sights of the district. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly like the listing described. The metro station was only a couple of blocks away, and there were lots of options for food. Arsham was a great host, and we plan to stay here again.

Very comfortable and easy to communicate with Claire! Just like the photos. Extremely beautiful, quiet, and peaceful neighborhood. Couch and largest bed extremely comfortable. Loved being here. For accessibility, there's a fully paved walkway from the driveway to basement entrance, just a few wide stairs with a very solid handrail. Well lit. Bathroom is two toilet rooms adjoining a central shower room (all connected with pocket doors). You walk through the daybed room to reach the common spaces.

The bedding was so comfy and the bed had me waking up refreshed each day! Highly recommend.

It's a great cozy place to stay as it says. The place is very close to the busline, which can take you to the train for the city. Howevr, I have 2 minor things: the path from street to the place where you stay is not ideal, requires climbing down the stones placed on the slope. Also, if you are a tall person, your knees might touch the bathroom cabinet while using the toilet.

It was a lovely location for our family to gather and celebrate my niece's law school graduation. Everything went smoothly! We had a little trouble with getting into the place, but that was revolved quickly! Thanks! Would definitely recommend!

Lee and Chrissy were great hosts. They were very responsive and addressed any issues that came up. We really felt that they cared about the quality of our stay. They recommended a taco truck nearby that we walked to on more than one occasion- it was so delicious. Also we loved the various floors of the home and the outdoor space. It was perfect for our family of 5! If you’ve had negative experiences with hosts in the past, you can rest assured you will not have those issues with Chrissy and Lee. Thank you guys for taking care of us and making sure your home felt like home to us!

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy and well-maintained home in Arlington. The rooms and restroom were clean and comfortable. Spaces like the kitchen and living area were spacious and tidy. The neighborhood is by a busy road, so you will hear a bit of road noise. However, it was safe and quiet late in the night. It had easy access to local amenities and major roads. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. I would recommend this place to others. visiting the area.

This is a rare find and a real treat. I was visiting DC from the UK and had originally planned to stay in a hotel in downtown but as I live in a quiet English village I was worried about lack of sleep from the big city buzz. I searched for an Airbnb (as I always favour these v hotels) which highlighted safety and peace - and Celia's lovely apartment came up. This is such a fabulous place to stay in DC: very quiet and safe area, no night time noise, within 5 minutes of the metro station for a quick same-line journey to the centre, and very clean and comfortable. I loved every minute. The icing on the cake is it's such a great value. Thank you so much, Celia.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the spacious place with (private) parking just right across the street from us. It was quiet and the hosts were extremely responsive and super helpful and friendly! When we come to DC again, we'll definitely book if available :)

This was a perfect stay in a beautiful condo with a terrific host. There was nothing more you could ask for. Katie's condo was as neat as a pin, had everything I needed, and was both easily accessible to everything I wanted to get to, but restful and quiet. I liked it so much. I added it on an extra night.

Great apartment! Sean’s apartment is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. It is completely quiet at night and the bed is good. There is a good vibe in the neighbourhood and the apartment is less than five minutes from a Green Line metro station that will take you directly to the best art museums in the city. Sean and his co-hosts are very helpful and responsive. I hope to come back to Washington one day and if that happens, I will definitely try to book Sean’s apartment again. My husband and I came for the Nationals vs Cubs series and the location couldn’t have been better! The house was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. Israel was incredibly responsive and helpful, always quick to answer any questions and made check in and check out smooth and hassle free! You can really tell he cares about his guests’ experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located stay!
