The original owner of the Cabin was an author named Catherine Woods. She wrote the very first book on the history of Palomar Mountain; Teepee to Telescope. You'll find a copy in the cabin for a good read.Lots of natural light make this little cabin feel spacious, the windows throughout the cabin offer a beautiful forest view.

On top of the mountains and beneath the stars, a dramatically unique mountain A-Frame getaway awaits your arrival. Perched in the trees with gorgeous lake views from every room. You have never experienced an A-Frame like this before with its soaring 30-foot panel of glass windows in it's bright and awe inspiring open beam great room. This large classic A-Frame is 3 stories high with 2,100 sf of space. The great room opens onto a large elevated deck for taking in the lake and mountain views.

Hilltop Lodge off-grid cabin

Selected 2nd best glamping site in the United States by Hipcamp 2023. One of the last remaining undeveloped parts of Southern California, De Luz Heights is located adjacent to the Cleveland National Forest, and the Santa Margarita River (just a few miles from the campsite). On my 80 acres, there are no public roads going through or next to the property.  My land is 13 miles from the Pacific ocean and enjoys a relatively mild yearly climate, and features giant boulders and native wildlife.

Full indoor bath as well as an outdoor clawfoot bathtub allows you to enjoy a relaxing soak with a view.
