Tiny house holiday rentals in La Joya

Looked great on the web - but even so much better! Location is FABULOUS - both easy to drive everywhere as well as walking distance to great restaurants. It is SO private and SO beautiful (she has created such a magical space) plus the layout and quality of the cottage is superb. Throw in the private pool, insane Koi pond, and Rosie the turtle? What else could you ask for? We were there for our daughter's graduation from UofA and wish I had known about it four years earlier. I've loved staying at The Graduate during visits, but Kristi's is WELL WORTH getting the rental car for! Just so nice to have such lovely outdoor space not available at a hotel. Thx so much for an outstanding stay!

Terry's home is the most beautiful and relaxing bnb we have ever had the honor to stay in! Everything was absolutely perfect and well thought out, it is very apparent a chef stocked the kitchen with every imaginable amenity you would need! The creativity and the artistic touch to the home is absolutely breathtaking, inside and out. The beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable and we really enjoyed opening the screened-in door in the bedroom at night to enjoy the dessert breezes and sounds, he even supplies earplugs by the beds for those of who don't love and appreciate the occasional train that passes by(we loved the sound!). Not only is the history and the architecture of the home inspiring, the endless book selection kept me entertained for hours! We enjoyed watching a dust storm and then a hail storm from the upstairs bedroom windows and then later playing cards and dominos at the huge wooden dining room table. The lighting throughout the entire home is awesome!

Great peaceful space to escape a weekend. It a good 10 min drive from the main road, so is very private and quiet.

This was our second time staying here and won’t be the last. We absolutely love this place. Can’t wait to come back.

The house is beautifully and uniquely designed, peaceful, and perfectly located for exploring Big Bend. We really enjoyed the privacy and thoughtful layout, and place was well-equipped. There were a few fruit flies during our stay, which were a bit annoying but probably expected given the location and climate — not a dealbreaker, and the host was responsive and helpful. we appreciated their effort to make the stay comfortable. Overall, a great spot and we’d recommend it.

Carmen’s tiny Terlingua was all and more of what we hoped for. Great place to stay if you’re going to big bend !!!

The Earthbag home was absolutely incredible! Jamie did a phenomenal job creating this off-grid paradise. It was so well laid out, with walking paths, plenty of outdoor areas to hang out & star gaze. The views here were incredible from sunrise to sunset the views were breathtaking. I even enjoyed the private view from the outdoor shower! Jamie was extremely communicative & detailed with instructions which made it easy to navigate. We would absolutely stay here again!

The guesthouse is comfortable and stylish with everything you need thoughtfully provided, with an eye to sustainability. Jeannette is available for any questions and it is a beautiful and welcoming environment.

The place was great. Exactly as described, or better. My favorite part was the terrace and the social areas with games and fire pits, great for the evenings. And the bed was very comfortable. The host was very responsive and helpful whenever needed. I would definitely recommend it. El lugar era estupendo. Exactamente como se describía, o incluso mejor. Super peaceful and quiet spot, the container was in the middle of nowhere, so it was very secluded. Roof deck was amazing for stargazing, and the bed was super comfortable. Great place to unplug and get away.

Our stay here was very enjoyable, with a great location, very easy to find and spotless interiors we felt just as we would at home!

As a frequent visitor to Terlingua, this place has a very relaxing and almost tropical atmosphere. Would stay again, though those over 6’3” may have some leaning to do while inside. Clean, clear instructions, and with a good amount of privacy.

This is our third time staying at this container Airbnb. Great experience as always! We love how we can walk everywhere and feel so safe. Will definitely keep returning.

Great little cabin behind the Boathouse Bar. Friendly people, very walkable area, and very convenient to Big Bend. Would definitely stay here again.

I loved being in an oasis in the desert. Simply a peaceful garden in a city. Gilbert-Ian was quick to reply, very clear with instructions, flexible with my crazy schedule. The place is absolutely beautiful!!!! The flowers, the water fountains and ponds, the purple light in the front, the hammock and the deck to relax. So many great details in this location. So relaxing. Definitely will not be disappointed with your experience.

This place was perfect! It was super clean and had everything we needed. I sent a message to Mar late one evening that we were staying in a poorly kept air b&b and we wanted to relocate asap. She replied almost immediately. We were in the place at 12:30pm the next day. The porch is nice and large. The extra amenities made it extra special. We loved every minute of our stay.

We really enjoyed the mesquite house. Communication was great and it was as described. Really cute and easy to walk to local restaurants and the Hummingbird Sanctuary where we saw a violet headed hummingbird which you don't see in many places. Patagonia lake was lovely.We got a day use pass and went two days in a row. The doggies were cute.

I traveled to Colleen and Bills place with my husband, seven year old, and one year old, while 8 month pregnant, in June. Colleen and Bill were extremely hospitable, friendly, and accommodating. They were always available when needed. They had everything I could possibly need for my kiddos (toys, highchair, pack and play, nightlights, outlet covers). My daughter LOVED the equine experience and our family thoroughly enjoyed the pool during our stay. The other guests that were on the property were friendly, quiet, and respectful.

Beautiful little cabin in a peaceful surroundings. You can walk around the trails or just sit on the balcony and enjoy the nature. If you like rockhounding, there’s a spot in the trail where you can find geodes and some pretty rocks. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

Awesome stay at “She Can’t Contain Herself”! Peaceful, quaint, charming, all the amenities you need and more! Great patio space to hang out on too! Easy check in. Hosts were very communicative and friendly!

This place was amazing & was exactly what I imagined. The host was helpful & attentive to any questions I had. Most definitely returning to this location.

This was probably the most unique and memorable Airbnb we’ve stayed at so far! We absolutely loved the peace and quiet—it truly felt like an escape from the world. The views were stunning, with Big Bend practically in the backyard, and we even got to enjoy a bit of hiking up the beautiful ridge on the property. The outdoor shower was so cool with an amazing view, and even the outhouse had its own charm! One thing to note is the drive to the property—it’s down a secluded, rocky road, and GPS won’t quite get you there. We made the mistake of arriving after dark, which made it trickier, even with the detailed directions provided by the host. I’d definitely recommend arriving during daylight for a smoother experience. All in all, we highly recommend this little oasis. It was a beautiful, serene getaway and a highlight of our time in Terlingua—one we’ll remember fondly!

Itsvan is the greatest of hosts. He gave us a super warm welcome when we checked in and when we checked out as well. He even let us check in a few hours early, which really helped us out a lot that day. Always communicated and very promptly. It's a cute little casita, perfect for a couple staying in Tucson for the weekend. The location is also in a very nice area and easy to get to other nearby places. Next time we are in Tucson, we will stay here again, and I would highly recommend Itsvan's place to all of my friends and family. Itsvan is also a muralist; you can see his wonderful work around the blue casita.
