We had a great stay. The house is conveniently close to downtown Baie-Saint-Paul and an easy drive to Le Massif. This is the second year we have stayed here. The kitchen is well-equipped. The fireplace and hot tub are great to have. The beds are very comfortable. We will be back.

Wonderful, interesting, charming little house that was not as small as it seems? Eight for comfortably. The hot tub was lovely at night. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great stay!

The place was beautiful. Clean, quiet, immersed in nature. We met had the pleasure of meeting Richard by the river while on a hike around the grounds.

Sublime location for a lot of tranquility, amazing view of the lake. We even had the chance to observe deer very ready due to the surrounding calm. Great!

“A perfect peaceful stay!” The stay was absolutely amazing – the place was clean, cozy, and just as described. The surroundings were super peaceful, which made it perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Wonderful place. The view over the fields was so peaceful. Not much view over the river. The house was bright and big rooms. This is the place for peace and quiet.

Well-equipped, clean, and accessible host home

The perfect spot for a good time with friends and family. Large open rooms with room for everyone. No one walks on their toes. Very friendly and comfortable place. It had everything we needed to have a great weekend . I recommend it and would come back in the morning.

We loved our stay in this house ideally located to discover the Mauricie Park. The host was very responsive and warm, which immediately put us at ease. It feels like home! The garden and veranda are real assets: perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking. A very nice place that we highly recommend!

I don’t know how to convey our delight and satisfaction with Bernard and Francine as our hosts. They met us at check in and spent a great deal of time going over everything and recommending sights, experiences and eating establishments. The house is situated near a beautiful lake with a nice canoe and kayak. Within 20 minutes you are in Maurice national park, a great place for hiking, canoeing and swimming. Big shopping mall is 25 minutes away in the nearest town. Some nice restaurants near the national park entrance. Very good place for peace and sports.

This was my second stay at La Capitainerie, and it was just as pleasant and peaceful to be there! Vincent and Marie-Hélène are proactive and communicate all the necessary information before and during the stay. Their home not only offers a terrace with a magnificent view of the sunsets over the St. Lawrence River, but also everything you need to cook meals and entertain. They have a large collection of board games, books, CDs and DVDs. Perfect for rainy days!

Everything was perfect at Chalet le Shack! The space was exactly what we needed, the kitchen is well equipped, and very nice bathrooms with lots of towels! The location cannot be beat if you’re coming to cross country ski. Quick access to groceries and restaurants. We hope to come back again next winter!

Very nice house. There is only one bedroom with a door and privacy. But really perfect for a family. Very satisfied, thank you for having us!

This chalet is new, airy, bright, modern with top quality fixtures and amenities. It was very comfortable, and the views of the St.Lawrence from inside or the outside decks are impressive. The driveway is rather steep, though short. If going there in the winter, front wheel drive only or four wheel drive cars without winter tires could be challenged to get up the driveway with snow and ice.
