Our stay at Alex’s place was wonderful. Six adults enjoyed our the absolutely charming house with plenty of privacy. Each couple effectively had a floor to themselves, but there were great spaces to be together as well. We were 15 minutes from old Quebec, 10 minutes from Montmorency. The house was perfect for our group, beautifully old world charming. Parking was easy and Alex’s communication was superb: he was very responsive and clear. I would not hesitate to stay there again. We had a fantastic stay. The house was spotless, exactly as the pictures show. Beds were comfy, kitchen was stocked, and water pressure was great. The surroundings were so peaceful and tranquil. The fire pit and hot tub were so lovely to have. The home is close to the local town with a few great local restaurants and community amenities. The location is absolutely phenomenal for hiking, which we did at multiple stunning locations.

The location of the cottage as well as the layout of it was exceptional! To visit!

I don’t know how to convey our delight and satisfaction with Bernard and Francine as our hosts. They met us at check in and spent a great deal of time going over everything and recommending sights, experiences and eating establishments. We felt so at home in their beautiful home and so appreciated their amazing hospitality. Thank you so very much. We will be back again and again!!!

This place is amazing!!

Carole is an incredibly nice person and a wonderful host. We felt at home straight away and this has been one of the most beautiful a cozy houses we've ever stayed in. The nature and view is breathtaking. Great location for number of activities, absolutely private and yet not too far to Quebec. The jacuzzi was amazing, especially during the colder evenings. We loved every minute of the stay. It's absolutely worth the money. Don't hesitate a minute. It's really a little hidden paradise, you will want to stay back at the place and just relax and opportunities for hiking, etc. are numerous. We enjoyed the recommended places in the neighborhood and the rafting on the river was a real highlight. Thanks to Carole we had everything we needed and more. 😊👌

Nice Cabin, we enjoyed our time there and it’s really cozy, something about the instruction, the Airbnb app showed us the wifi password and the key lock password are different than the message that the owner sent to us, that was a little bit confusing, lolll

We loved our family stay. The place was clean and welcoming. We had everything we had to have fun. We enjoyed the edge of the water and outdoor games. I would recommend this cottage if you are looking for tranquility and a warm place for your whole family (young and old).

This was my second stay at La Capitainerie, and it was just as pleasant and peaceful to be there! Vincent and Marie-Hélène are proactive and communicate all the necessary information before and during the stay. Their home not only offers a terrace with a magnificent view of the sunsets over the St. Lawrence River, but also everything you need to cook meals and entertain. They have a large collection of board games, books, CDs and DVDs. Perfect for rainy days!

This chalet is ideally located in front of the river, with a very low traffic street at the front of the property. We loved watching the changes in the scenery over the weather and going for a walk on the beach. The cottage is very spacious, tastefully decorated and well-equipped.
