Kid-friendly holiday rentals in La Barben

What a gem of a place and hosts! We traveled to quite a few places during our 2.5 week trip through Europe, and this was by far our favorite stay. Located in the Luberon Valley in the medieval town of Ménerbes, Provence, you only had to look outside of your window to see the vibrant purple shades of the blooming summer lavenders and lavandines. The stay was well appointed with everything you’d need, and the private courtyard provided breathtaking views of the valleys and nearby mountains. The town and stay are rich in history - you’ll enjoy learning about it from hosts Maria and Francois, who are absolutely delightful. A beautiful breakfast of local fresh fruits, pastries, eggs and yogurt was provided, which gave us enough fuel for a long day of walking and sightseeing. My favorite part of it all were the conversations we had with Maria and Francois over breakfast - they’re quite charming and funny; we exchanged stories of our lives and travels. Highly recommend this stay!

Virginie and her son Loch are fantastic hosts!!! Both are very committed to the well-being of their guests. We were asked several times if everything was okay, if we needed anything. She immediately sent good information ... great ice cream shop in Miramas le Vieux, markets, ... To welcome us, a bottle of regional wine (very, very tasty ... we took some bottles from the winery) and water was cooled and ready. Virginie is very attentive and yet respectful of the privacy of her guests. The house itself is equipped with everything you need and lovingly furnished. The pictures speak for themselves. It was also great to cool off in the pool after a long day. The location is in an absolutely quiet residential area and yet you can reach Aix-en-Provence, Marseille (a ride on the Train Bleu from Miramas is recommended), the Étang de Berre, ... A perfect place to hide away in plain view in Provence. Right in the middle of the stunning town of Menerbes. Steps away from all the restaurants and the curated epicerie. Although pricey, definitely worth it. Maison O was exactly how we imagined it to be. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Beds extremely comfortable and bathrooms with excellent showers which were definitely needed since the day time temperature never went below 30 for the whole week. Apropos that. A little more shade for the terrace would have been much appreciated. Although there is no AC the interior rooms stayed coolish if all doors and windows were kept closed. The whole experience was fabulous. Our favourite evening activity after the heat of the mid day was a stroll to Cafe Progres, purchasing an Apéritif and sitting on their terrace overlooking the valley. A light breeze to cool us down and a chat with the locals. It really was the quintessential experience in Provence. We would not hesitate to return.

Paulina’s house is amazing. So peaceful lovely nature around. A swimming pool in the garden The house is beautifully decorated with amazing furniture ,nice bed. A nice morning walk of 1 hour took us to the village where we had coffee.Great restaurants. Paulina is an amazing host. She has put a lot of effort in to make you feel right at home and a lot of info. about the area and surroundings . Would love to come back

We have never been so well received (in over 10 years of Airbnb)! The property is quiet, beautiful; the apartment very comfortable, impeccably clean, very well equipped; the pool super nice but above all, Marie-France, her husband and their grandchildren were of an unparalleled welcome, simplicity and kindness. A meeting that marked us and that makes us want to come back for longer :) Thanks again to everyone, young and old!

I cannot stress enough how perfect everything was about this listing. Antoine was so nice and helpful. Very quick to respond to messages. He gave me a big list of recommendations for places to go and where to eat. His daughters were adorable and very friendly and welcoming to my son. The town of Eguilles was beautiful and quiet and had everything you could need (Boulangerie, grocery store, laundromat). I am so glad we decided to stay in Eguilles instead of Aix-En-Provence which we found difficult to navigate and park. It was such a great central location for all of our day trips- Cassis, Arles, Moustiers etc. My biggest regret is not booking a longer stay. I loved Provence and can’t wait to come back. Highly highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely perfect. The house, the surroundings and Adam were a pure delight. Holds a place in my heart.

The apartment design is wonderful as is its location on the top floor. The soothing colors and linen textiles make it feel luxurious! And the light and views are exceptional. There is a 1.5 hour loop walk you can do to Cadenet which we did each morning for coffee. Caroline is helpful and left welcome gifts we enjoyed. You can tell they have put their hearts into the place.

Excellent, best experience in Pélissanne for now. The space was much more spacious than we thought. It went very well. We won't hesitate to return.

Beautiful space, very comfortable. Host was very attentive and welcoming. No elevator if you have a lot of luggage good to know. Definitely would recommend, beds are very comfortable. Convenient and very walkable neighborhood.

We really enjoyed our stay at Florian's place. Very clean apartment, well furnished and above all very well located. A big thank you to Florian for his responsiveness when we arrived, I recommend this apartment with my eyes closed.

Daniel is a great host and the property is lovely. May favourite sitting out on the balcony watching the swifts feeding their young in the roof tops. Good area very stunning.

Thanks to Laurence for her welcome, her very well-equipped accommodation (commechez soi), spacious with private and quiet garden. Beautiful birdsong and no disturbing barking. we enjoyed the calm, the Sainte Victoire mountain as well as the hike of the 2 dams (Bimont and Zola). Perfect

We spent a great week in Gwendolin's beautiful and well-kept apartment and felt right at home. The quiet location within walking distance of the Vallon des Auffes and many beautiful bathing opportunities is perfect. We spent beautiful long evenings on the fantastic roof terrace and would have preferred not to leave at all. Gwendolin was always super easy to reach, flexible and helpful. We would recommend the place to anyone and come back anytime.

Admiring a magnificent sunset from the terrace overlooking a pond, a beautiful view and an extraordinary calm, that's what I keep in mind from my short stay in this beautiful, well-equipped and well-functioning apartment. Arrived at 2 a.m. with two small children, the welcome booklet sent by Alfred before arrival reassured me about the organization. The baby bed already prepared, the apartment that contains everything you need to stay there as a family and especially the calmness gave me good reason to choose this accommodation for my stay rather than going to the hotel.
