Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Kootenay Lake

Great spot for us at the base of the mountain, perfect for a couple days of skiing. Walkable to and from lifts. Clean and cozy space! Would stay again.

Staying at Maria's place was everywhere would have hoped. It was only a few blocks from the heart of downtown & the river, yet it was so private and cozy. Plenty of room for myself and 2 friends. Inside the house were perfect pairings of antiques and artful touches. I'm so glad we stayed there and will choose it 100% of the time when I come to Nelson again.

Maria’s Kokanee suite was wonderful! The neighbourhood was quiet, location was convenient for walking to most places. It’s a bit tricky to find so be sure to follow her directions exactly. Maria responded quickly to any questions we had. She provided a helpful guide to the suite and the area. The bed was comfy, the kitchen was well stocked with essentials and there were even bath salts for use in the gorgeous tub. Because the suite is in the attic space of an older home, the ceilings are sloped at the sides. It did get quite warm but there are fans and an air conditioner. We would definitely stay again.

Maria was such a delightful host. She greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed including some restaurant recommendations. The apartment was exactly how it is described and it was very well appointed with a lot of personal touches. We would definitely reserve this unit or another of her places if we return to Nelson. What a great little spot. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

This is a perfect getaway that the hosts clearly took care into outfitting. It has all the touches of Rossland, from the historical map decor to history books and trail maps. The furnishings were comfortable and the bed was large, comfy, and warm. The bathroom shower is huge with laundry right there (with a convenient, labelled laundry basket - the hosts really did think of everything!). There are modern amenities, including dimming lights and electric blinds, any any instructions were clearly labelled, and they even set up everything you'd need for either tea or coffee. The place is obviously very new, and it's clean and lovely. The hosts were responsive and friendly. This place is private, but the hosts are on site, so you know they're close and willing to help if anything came up. An extra special touch was having oil and basic cooking spices/needs in the cupboard. It is a little loud during the day from the salon, but perfectly quiet at night. Can't wait to stay again!

Very comfortable stay for two families on our ski vacation. House was well stocked with soaps, laundry detergent, paper products and comfortable beds!

Stayed at Katarina’s place for a few days in March 2025 to ski. Loved having the private hot tub and great proximity to the lifts. Beds were comfortable and plenty of space to relax! Would stay here again.

Walking distance to hill was much closer than I thought it would be. In fact, returning to our rental from slopes we could keep our skis on all the way to our building! Having hot tub just outside our patio door was amazing, especially since we were on 3rd floor.

EXCELLENT place. Even the little items (location of the ski locker, parking space, etc) were nice or close by. It was perfect for our 2 families (4 adults, 4 children). We'll be looking to stay here again if/when we come back to RED Mountain!!

This was a perfect getaway for our large group. There is so much space, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped. We spent a lot of time enjoying the deck with the view! We would certainly love to stay here again when visiting Nelson.

Sad to leave this paradise. You people looking for serenity, calm, relaxation & nature need to stay here for your own good! Glen & Robyn are such gracious hospitable hosts. This home feels like yours in an instant & they have really thought of every little need of their guests & made it happen. The house is equipped with everything you could potentially forget in town, or any “i wish we had’s” you can think of ….they have already! Too hot in the house? They have outer window shades. Not ready for the sun waking? Almost black out blinds. Need hygiene products? Check under the sink. Wish you had some music instead of the quiet keeping you company in the pool? They have out door speakers. Really the amenities & care put into this beautiful masterpiece of tranquility are endless. Do yourself the biggest favour; book here and take a load off & remember to feed your pet fish for the entirety of your stay! Glen & Robyn, thank you!

Suite 3 was beautifully finished and felt like staying in a high end hotel. The location is excellent if you're looking for a quite place with a view.

What a dream airbnb. Tucked away in the hills, this suite is like a 5 star hotel. Amazingly clean and tidy, beautiful furniture and amenities, modern and yet quaint. The view and private patio took our breath away. My wife and I kept saying, "let's just live here!" Richard was more than just a host, he was charming and a pleasure to run into. Our conversations were a highlight of our days. If you need some RandR in the mountains. Look no farther. We will be back. Thank you Richard. Congratulations on what you have so lovingly built.
