The house comes with its own private pool, an essential in the Tropics! A friendly cat also lives at the property. Sri Mathie was the perfect getaway property for us and Guy was such an amazing host. It is nestled in the jungle with beautiful flora and fauna all around the property. Wonderful architecture, art, and open spaces make it a unique stay. Lots of things to do close by and with Guy's help everything was accessible. Also relaxing and peaceful just to stay on the property and enjoy everything it has to offer. Guy really made the stay extra special, the hospitality we were shown was so nice. Amazing meals filled with intention, wonderful conversation, perfect amount of privacy while feeling taken care of, cant say enough good things!

This was our first trip to Sri Lanka, and it was truly unforgettable! Nipuni was an incredibly kind and friendly host. She was always quick to reply and shared helpful recommendations. We were lucky to have a wonderful family dinner with Nipuni and her mom , they you cooked an amazing local dishes for us, and we had such a great time together. OMG we love her crepes!!! It was by far the best stay we’ve had in Sri Lanka — a whole floor of the house with a private entrance and terrace, clean and cozy rooms with air conditioning (a rare find in Sri Lanka ), comfy beds, a great kitchen, and a perfect quiet location away from the road noise. I highly recommend staying here, and I would love to come back again!

We had a lovely stay at the villa. While located on a busy street, the villa is quite peaceful with wonderful views of the ocean. Out front there are shops and restaurants easily accessible by foot or tuk tuk, which was quite convenient. Outback there is a lovely beach, though it was severely eroded at our time of visit (due to the monsoon season). Irrespective, we enjoyed being able to stroll and explore and visit the turtle hatchery directly next door. The villa itself is well appointed with much of what one would need. The pool was lovely and the bedrooms, enormous bathrooms, and AC made for a comfortable stay. All that said, the thing that made the villa was the lovely staff. They made us feel welcome, offered wonderful suggestions and arranged some excursions for us, and really elevated our stay.

This stay was perfect. It’s really quiet and so pretty! Very calm, in the midst of nature, monkeys climbing the trees. 🥹 It’s 10mins tuktuk drive to the city and beach which is perfect because for me the city was very hectic and it was perfect to get out of it a little. Madura and Ferran are super helpful and kind, Madura explained us so much about the temple when we met him there and it’s really a local small sweet village. What a wonderful place. Thank you so much!!
