We had a lovely stay with our 3 dogs at heron view, we enjoyed the spacious living area and comfortable beds. The utility space was a great nook for the dogs if they were wet from walking. Lovely local pub (the Masonic) with friendly people and bar staff. The hot tub was a massive bonus! Thanks Donald We will be back!

We had a fantastic time at The Stables celebrating our rescue greyhound’s fifth birthday - she got to run around happily in the enclosed garden whilst we enjoyed our complimentary Prosecco in the hot tub!Secluded location, relaxing and everything you could need thought of by Paul & Fiona. Highly recommend!

Teapot Cottage is a beautiful place to stay. It was very well kitted out, decorated very nicely, and had lots of nice touches to make our stay even better. Lammisa was a great host - very responsive and friendly, and was happy to help whenever needed. There's great local amenities within walking distance, and several local villages and towns within a short drive, including Ennerdale Lake. The place was very comfortable, with plenty of seating indoor and out, with several comfy beds suitable for a group of adults. The only thing to be aware of is that the bedroom with the bunk beds has very little storage space, so if you're staying for a few days and have a large bag/suitcase - you'll need to find somewhere else to put it! Overall - we were all very pleased with this stay and we'd definitely book again in future.

Kathryn’s stay was lovely! Perfect location if you’re looking at heading to Keswick and climbing Scafell pike only 40mins drive to Seathwaite route. Beautiful home and lovely Hotub! Hosts very responsive to our messages.

What an amazing place! Susan’s home was lovely and located on a beautiful dairy farm. We were immediately welcome by her cats Lucky and Clover (who we adopted for our stay). Susan was always available to answer our questions and took us on a tour of the farm to meet the cows. The house was about 7 minutes from a great village called cockermouth which had pubs, restaurants and many bakeries. A little further and you are in keswick which is one of the bigger towns. We took a boat from there across derwentwater to the famous Catbells and also took a rowboat out on the lake. We also went for a beautiful walk around buttermere lake and a hike into the borrowdale valley. And we even popped over the border into Scotland. It was an amazing trip and a wonderful place to stay. An excellent cottage walking distance to the town centre. Close to pubs and shops. The property was in excellent condition and the welcome pack was very nice. Excellent stay.

We had a fantastic stay here while visiting friends in the lakes! Place was really cosy and homely and the location was very peaceful and gave some lovely views too.

We had a great stay at Calgow Cottages! The cottage itself was lovely and homely, whilst being well equipped with high quality furnishings. The kitchen had everything we needed and we had a very comfortable stay. We often holiday with our dog in self catering cottages and we felt this was a very high quality stay in a nice clean cottage. It just felt like home :) Graeme and Phillip were very easy to contact with any questions and very responsive. Area was very handy for visiting the 7stanes mountain biking trails and lots of lovely walks. Overall a lovely relaxing break!

The house was beautiful and the direct access to the beach was a lovely bonus. The village has a great, dog friendly, pub and cafe which was perfect for us.

Our stay was home from home fantastic location with great views. The house had plenty of room was comfortable and very relaxing. Mike and Hazel were super hosts all our needs were taken care of. We will most definitely be booking another stay soon.

Alison is a delightful lady. So kind and helpful. Her cottage ( we stayed in Jemima Puddleduck) was very comfortable. Beds and pullows especially and all spotlessly clean. All we needed was provided Alison had thought of everything. We had a fantastic week. Thank you.

Such a lovely cottage!! We felt at home upon arrival and enjoyed every minute we spent in it. Our cat was very happy as well, entertained by all the birds and little animals he could watch from the windows. Location was great - nice little village but also a 10min drive to Cockermouth with plenty of options for shops and restaurants. We’d love to come back someday!

Our stay at Foulbog was idyllic! The cottage and surroundings were beautiful. Lindsay was a great host and we would highly recommend a stay here!

There was everything we could possibly need in the cottage which is so tastefully furnished including two reclining chairs in the conservatory which is where we spent most of our time. Even on the days it rained we could relax in the conservatory, reading or doing a jigsaw, and unwind. Gina and her husband are very friendly and helpful, making us feel at home. If we could give it six stars we would!

My husband, son, and I visited the Strawberry Cottage for four days and four nights recently and we had a wonderful time. It was the perfect size for us - ample space to lounge and cook meals. The beds were comfy so we got great sleep. And the location was perfect - just steps away from so many restaurants, the bus stop to adventures in nearby towns, and lots of trails around Derwentwater. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful stay at Rosewall cottage. Beautiful cottage in a lovely village with lots of easy walks surrounding the old Abbey. Our host Tina provided a lovely clean, well stocked and equipped place for us to stay and couldn’t have been more helpful. We would definitely love to return.

Accommodation was booked for colleagues for business purposes. Everything was exactly as described and suited out needs perfectly. Very friendly host and communicative hosts. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely little cottage, spotless and cosy, garden is a sun trap if you get lucky like we did and stay during good weather days! Ideal location being a short walk to the local pub or drive to the seaside, forest etc. The owner went out of her way to help us with a problem, would definitely come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The position of the cottage was perfect being walking distance from Kirkcudbright while being peaceful. We loved watching the red squirrels from the lounge window. We also had visits from deer and saw lots of bats. Anne was a perfect host and was very friendly and approachable. The only possible downside was the wifi connection which could have been better.

we really enjoyed our stay, we took our dog and Wendy provided a doggy bag with towels, treats& poo bags lovely welcome basket for us & our 2 kids. Wendy lives next door and is always very friendly&chatty and happy to help. the location is beautiful with stunning views. cozy cottage with plenty of room for our family. thanks Wendy 👍👍
