Cabin holiday rentals in Kings Mountain

We enjoyed our time at Emerald Treehouse. The mountain views are exceptional. lots of trees and it feels really private. I will say getting up the hill to the property was a challenge. I'm so glad we drive a SUV. The road is gravel with deep holes, so be mindful of that. Another thing is the house had a lot of pet hair on the furnishings. I know the description said pet friendly, but pet hair was all on the couches and the pillows. We didn't have any pets with us. Overall a beautiful house, I can tell it is well maintained. We enjoyed our stay.

When my friends and I arrived, we walked through each room shouting, "Wow!" We originally planned for a day trip to Asheville, but this place was so beautiful we just decided to stay in. The highlights were the view from the porch, the hot tub, and the rec room. Highly recommended stay and I wish I could've stayed longer

Very comfortable, relaxing and peaceful. Home was clean and cozy! Highly recommend and will stay here again. Bed and furniture very comfortable and the hot tub was relaxing. Having shampoo and body wash as well as phone chargers (the things you tend to forget) was amazing. Nicely decorated! Porch is very relaxing and peaceful!

This cabin was absolutely magical! We visited on Memorial Day weekend and it could have been more perfect! It’s a beautiful cabin that has amazing views and really makes you feel at home. Our dog Luna absolutely loved the place! They left a whole variety of movies and games for us to enjoy while we were there as well! They also included a list with the best restaurants, hikes spots and things to do! We didn’t want to leave when our trip was over! Would love to come back one day in the future!

We loved it and are looking forward to going back.

My time here was all that I expected and more. The house was both comfy and beautiful. I'm a city gal from Baltimore but in-love with nature. The location was great with amazing views. The old fashioned rocking chairs made me just want to sit on the porch all the time. Whether it was evening cocktails watching the sunset, afternoon lemonade moments or morning coffee with the sunrise. Nothing about your stay here will be disappointing. Oh, they even went the extra mile to contact us to let us know we forgot a pair of sandala and ship them for a small fee. Thank you Mike and Cate for a memorable stay!

Poplar Den was so peaceful and made for a relaxing weekend!

This cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway! Charity was quick to respond to any inquiries we had, and check-in/check-out was a breeze. The cabin is a short drive to town with good restaurant options in case you don’t feel like cooking, but secluded enough in a gated neighborhood that it felt like a retreat. 10/10 would recommend!

Our stay at this beautiful property was truly unforgettable. The porch offered breathtaking views, making it the perfect spot for morning coffee and evening relaxation. Even when we encountered a brief power outage, our host went above and beyond to assist us promptly and ensure our comfort — their attentiveness and care truly stood out. The home was cozy and well-maintained, providing an ideal setting for quality family time. We especially loved doing yoga together in such a peaceful setting — it was the perfect environment to unwind and reconnect. The location was also fantastic: just a short drive from Asheville and surrounded by amazing hiking trails. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat.

I would recommend Alison to anyone. She was our first host this being our first time using Airbnb. We couldn't ask for anyone better. Not to forget the beautiful house and view. We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and private A-frame cabin! Tucked away in a serene setting, it was the perfect retreat to unwind and recharge. Our pups felt right at home and loved exploring the quiet surroundings. We truly appreciated the privacy and calm atmosphere, and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway with their furry companion!

It was raining lightly when we arrived, we had no idea Hurricane Helene was also coming to the mountains. We lost power the second day and water, Kenny and heather came to check on us and brought us a propane stove to cook on and boil water. This community has been hit hard by the storm, but it was incredible to see how quickly people came together to help each other. Kenny knew someone who had satellite internet and solar power, and they were happy to let people use it to get messages out. Another person had a satellite phone and offered to send messages for people. There is a local monastery, and the monks worked hard to clear the roads of mud and debris. When this area recovers, you must show them some love and support. The property is beautiful and the area is worth a trip. Please pray for them.

The real log cabin, and surroundings were absolutely beautiful. Very peaceful, forested surroundings in a very quiet development, exactly what I was looking for. The geographical location is great, with three small towns close by. The major cities of Charlotte, Asheville, and Greenville are within an hour's drive. I plan to visit again.

This is one of the best! We have stayed with Cheryl many times and it is such a treat to have a place that is so well stocked, so comfortable, and with a host that makes it feel like home. We will be back again as it feels like staying with a friend.

We had a great stay at Sunburst lodge. It’s a very unique historic cabin in a quiet well spaced community. The cabin is beautiful and feels like you’ve went back in time, yet still had all the modern amenities you would come to expect. We also saw lots of deer during our stay. We are hoping to make a longer return visit in the fall. Alan was very helpful and responsive and was quick to respond to any questions. Thank you for having us!

This was place was just something else! The surroundings were astounding, and the home was very spacious. Not only that but you even get to be with a cat in there, the most gentle and calm cat I have ever met. I would absolutely recommend this house and would love to come back.

It was a delight to spend a few nights in this darling cabin with such a spectacular view from the back porch. Everything was as described by the host, and I would definitely stay here again!

I want to say this place was so at home. I felt we were in cabin and being rural, at the same time so close to whatever we needed. the surrounding was absolutely breathtaking. The cabin was so clean and equipped. My son loved the fact he could stay in loft by himself, and still being close to us. we loved to hear birds, and rooster singing around and we also meet some locals and neighbors; very friendly. Robin and Jay were so kind when I needed to talk to them and John helped me to find the local event, even though we didn't go (we had so much fun just being at cabin). Overall we loved, loved it and loved it. Thank you Robin and Jay for creating such a lovely place to stay in; felt so at home. Sarah, Jay and Benjamin

What a great place. Cabin was easy to find on a very quiet road. It was a very peaceful and relaxing location. The creek is beautiful. Jacob was quick to respond to any questions and he was very helpful and informative. I’m looking for to staying here again.
