Cottage holiday rentals in Kempton Park

Tanja's cabins were peaceful and private along the river and were well stocked with kitchen supplies. Everyone was very attentive to our needs. While there are several other cabins each felt as if we were all by ourselves. The rivers edge is walkable and fishable with many different water birds and we even saw an otter and kudu. This is a gem of a place (thw caretakers as well) and I highly recommend!

Comfortable and private space was exactly what we were after. Location was perfect for our family visit and Josephine ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. Will definitely stay again and Jo’s Eden has become a home away from home for us.

We stayed with three couples at Ibis River Retreat and had two cottages. Both cottages were super private, have their own private jacuzzi, which we enjoyed a lot. We had a lovely Braai in the evening and took a nice walk down to the river in the morning. We also booked a couples massage down at the Pool, which we would 100% recommend! Already one night felt like a full holiday and we felt absolutely rested and will definitely come back next time we’re in South Africa! Especially being so close to Johannesburg Airport (50 minutes drive), but still feeling like out in the wild surprised me very positively!

If you want a break away in nature's best, this is definitely a place surrounded by beautiful lush trees, the tranquility from the river flowing, birds chirping and healing energy. The bonus is the private jacuzzi nestled on the ourside deck out on the elements.

What a peaceful, beautiful and generous space. We had such a restorative, blissful, intimate time hanging out in this space for a weekend. Alan and his staff made us feel so welcome and comfortable.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Linda’s place. Not only was it well located, with good restaurants and lots to explore outdoors, it was also cosy and felt like home on those chilly afternoons when I didn’t feel like going out. The host, Linda, was also great - I would highly recommend.

An absolute botanical Haven. The most peaceful Airbnb I have had the pleasure of staying in right in the middle of town. The house has old antique charm with a dick hole to match, beautiful private balcony that overlooks the gorgeous gardens. The support staff on the property are extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive when needed. The host is easy and friendly to communicate with making checking in and any changes and absolute pleasure have thoroughly enjoyed our time here will definitely book again.

Warwick's home is truly a beautiful safe and tranquil space, super close to all amenities, clean and very comfortable. Equipped for long stays and the stunning garden is a paradise for the dogs. Only one small thing to note is the internet is not WiFi, and if you work from home on large files, you will need to buy extra data. But will def recommend this peaceful piece of paradise.

Had such a fabulous stay in this spot. Super clean, centrally located with a responsive host, will definitely be staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Nancy’s guest house. The place is beautiful, peaceful and in a very secure area. Nancy was a wonderful host, very responsive. She even waited for us though we arrived way past checkin time. She also allowed us to check out at 12pm. I greatly recommend!

We truly enjoyed our stay at David’s place! He was incredibly accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great stay. What a wonderful experience! It was my first time booking on Airbnb and I am extremely impressed with Cecilia! She went above and beyond to accommodate me! Even with unexpected electricity interruption due to a major storm, she was pro-active in providing me with a charging point for my cellphone, battery lights as well as gas stove! I would definitely stay here again!

Glen and Paul are friendly, present, low key and responsive. Their cottage is peaceful, secure and restful. I loved the homey feel and the obvious attention to detail - there are little luxuries like amazing water pressure in the shower, a fan in the bedroom for hot mozzie nights, a coffee machine, and quality decor. I appreciated their generous & thoughtful kitchen supplies (which made self catering a breeze for a busy professional on a work trip). The location is also convenient - situated in a central, grand part of old Johannesburg. Thank you - I'll be back.

I cannot say enough good things about Tracey's cottage. It's an excellent experience! This is my second time back for an extended stay. It has all the things you could want from an airbnb, it's safe, private, has a secure parking spot, excellent wifi , close to restaurants and shops, and spotless. On top of which Tracey is an excellent communicator, very proactive and so very kind. I've stayed in many airbnbs and rate this 11/10. It's worth every penny.
