We want to offer visitors to Hobart a unique & luxurious accommodation experience, which connects modern design with its rugged, bush environment. Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

The gorgeous Tasman Peninsula and all it has to offer is just down the road. The studio is part of our home, with its own separate entrance and complete privacy - and it means we are on hand to assist you in need. ***Please note: the pool is currently unavailable for swimming while we resurface it***

Carlton River Escape

Carlton River Escape was completed in 2023 and built as a peaceful hide away retreat on the back 50 acres of our property. It is nestled right beside our Swift Parrot Conservation Forest area which also shares it space with our local wallabies, wombats, echidnas, pademelons, possums, and eagles. Amid the fresh Tassie air, and the incredible forest views, you will feel completely relaxed listening to the sounds of the wildlife while enjoying the luxury of a secluded brand new home.

Using the shack as your base, no matter which direction you choose to venture, there’s an array of experiences and activities to explore, 20 min to Hobart Airport, 40 min to Hobart, gateway to Richmond, East Coast, Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula. Relax in peace while enjoying the views with a cup of tea or local wine. Bream Creek Vineyard, Bangor Winery and Southern Beaches all within 20 minute drive. Enjoy the beach walks, sunrises and sunsets. Situated 50 minutes from Hobart & a further 1 hour to Port Arthur.

The Stable at Twamley Farm

A unique 1840s converted stable located in the grounds of Twamley Farm homestead. The Stable is a beautifully renovated two storey sandstone building overlooking the hills of Twamley Farm and nestled under English oaks. The Stable features your own private outdoor cedar hot tub. The traditional wood fired hot tub offers blissful, therapeutic soaking in the beautiful surrounds of Twamley Farm.
