House holiday rentals in Kastellos

We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous villa. From the moment we met Stefanos and his parents at their nearby taverna to say hello and get the keys, we knew it would be a great vacation. We were welcomed with cold drinks and plates of delicious food. Stefanos personally took us to the villa, showed us around and answered all our questions. There was a beautiful food basket (vegetables, fruit, olive oil, and other Crete delights) waiting for us as a further welcome. The villa itself is even more gorgeous than in the photos. It is beautifully appointed and each of the 4 bedrooms has its own bath so it was perfect for the couples staying there. The view is stunning - looking out over olive groves and farm land with the sea in the distance. We found fantastic beaches nearby, groceries and great tavernas in local villages. We also enjoyed some swims in the pool at the villa. All in all, a wonderful stay and a huge thanks to Stefanos and his family for so warmly welcoming us!

Um es kurz und knapp zu sagen. Das beste Air bnb in dem ich je war. Geschmackvolle tolle, hochwertige und saubere Unterkunft. Das beste Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Hier kriegt man richtig viel für sein Geld. Wir sind unheimlich dankbar, haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und kommen wieder!

Very nice stay, big clean pool and awesome surroundings. BBQ lovers: there is a bbq on site but they will have to pre-check with the fire department if BBQing is allowed due to fire risk (pretty reasonable). For us it worked but take it as a heads up. Super cute place overall 😉

Wir haben den Aufenthalt zu viert sehr genossen. Die Lage war perfekt, sodass man den Strand und Unternehmungen gut erreichen konnte. Besonders herausragend war der Service und die Gestaltung des Außenbereichs.

This house was absolutely amazing – just like in the pictures, if not even better! The location right by the beach is truly breathtaking, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting. All the furniture and appliances are top-of-the-line – everything was spotless, high-quality, and incredibly comfortable. Ria was a fantastic host – super friendly, always quick to respond, and very helpful. We really appreciated how kind and welcoming she was. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would recommend this house to absolutely everyone. A perfect getaway!

Wir sind rundum glücklich! Markos und Litsa haben die Unterkunft wirklich mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung ist weit aus besser, als wir es jemals in einer Air bnb erlebt haben. Wir haben frische gebackene quiche im Urlaub bekommen und auch der Kühlschrank war zu Anfang gut gefüllt. Unglaublich freundlicher Kontakt, es gibt rein gar nichts an dieser Unterkunft auszusetzen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!!

Eine Unterkunft mit einem wirklich atemberaubenden Ausblick. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Unser zweijähriger Sohn hat sich auch sehr gut zurecht gefunden und mit uns am Pool gespielt, man sollte aber natürlich immer einen Blick drauf haben . Insgesamt wirkt die Unterkunft deutlich großzügiger als auf den Fotos und ist bestens ausgestattet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Es gibt sogar Hanteln für Sport und Stühle und Schirm für den Strand und ein Töpfchen für Kinder. Die Kommunikation mit Eleni lief sehr gut. Sie hat immer schnell reagiert und alles möglich gemacht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

A short walk from downtown Kalyves, but far removed from the hustle and bustle of the town of Kalyves. Several good places to eat, with some services such as medical and a pharmacy, a couple small markets with enough provisions. The location had absolutely amazing views of the bay of Souda, very private and quiet. The property is secured by an electric gate, to keep wandering tourists away, in that this accommodation appears historical in nature, maybe all that’s left of an old kastelli, based on the rock walls. I could be wrong, but I would guess that the actual accommodation is what used to be the powder magazine for the old fort. We enjoyed the place immensely.

Excellent location to relax with an amazing view. Was the perfect size for a couple. Color and decorations make the apartment even more charming.

Wir haben uns in diesem Haus acht Tage lang sehr wohl gefühlt, auf der gut verschatteten Terrasse eine erholsame Zeit bis tief in die Nacht hinein verbracht. Ioanna hat uns mit verschiedenen Köstlichkeiten überrascht, liebevoll und immer erreichbar. Gerne kommen wir wieder, um diese schöne Aussicht zu genießen.

One of the best villas I’ve stayed in as it felt so homely, and the outside area is gorgeous. We all loved it! Nikolaos was an amazing host and was always recommending places to visit and days out for us to try. The pool cleaner was easy to use, just put it in first thing in the morning and it will clean for around 2 hours. As well, having the robotic lawn mower mow the lawn while we were there too was a nice feature. Nikolaos was always responsive and made us feel right at home, as well as even leaving local olive oil for us to take back with us from our trip! The local taverna just at the bottom of the villa was sensational, and I would really recommend trying as much of the food off of the daily cooked menu as possible. Would stay here again!

We had the most fantastic family holiday here and can’t thank Giannis enough for being the perfect host! Her place is exactly as described and we will definitely be back! Thank you again for having us!

Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Alles was man braucht ist in der Nähe. Tavernen , Supermarkt, Meerblick , Seeblick , super Gastgeber und ein gemütliches Haus.Sehr gute Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter.

Belle semaine au sein de ce logement. Nous étions au calme et la vue de la terrasse est incroyable. La prestation du changement de draps et de serviettes dans la semaine est appréciable. L’appartement est neuf à l’intérieur et très propre. Les parties communes sont nettoyées chaque jour ce qui rend le lieu très clean . Grâce à a sa configuration, nous avons pu échangé avec des personnes qui vivent là- bas et qui nous ont donné des adresses de tavernes et de lieux à visiter . Après qques jours nous avons trouvé des petits restau et plages à côté très sympa . Notre séjour a été au top !

The villa is absolutely gorgeous. It is in a small town with no facilities (apart from a very informal cafe next door), but the quiet area was exactly what we were looking for. Yes there are some dogs etc, but not excessive, the noise is just local life in the town, which was actually really lovely. The hosts were extremely communicative, we had a few minor issues, but they were sorted in a matter of minutes! Loads of tavernas, beaches, supermarkets within a very short drive, spoilt for choice for loads of amazing food. Highly recommend a stay here, the villa, area, food and people were all fantastic.

Unser Aufenthalt in Nikos Haus war einfach großartig! Die Dachterrasse bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick, den man sogar aus dem Whirlpool genießen kann. Die Lage ist ruhig und entspannend, ohne dass man sich eingeschränkt fühlt. Das Haus ist geräumig und voller liebevoller Details, die für eine besondere Atmosphäre sorgen. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können dieses Haus wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

We loved our stay in the villa, it was even more beautiful than the pictures. Beautiful mountain views with the privacy we were looking for. Check in was super easy, our host gave clear instructions and was helpful whenever we needed anything. Highly recommend!!

The little house was exactly as described, well equipped and perfect for couples for a sunny break. The pool was amazing and the rooftop terrace afforded us the most spectacular sunset views! the location is private and peaceful, whilst remaining a sensible distance to shops and fantastic restaurants. We had an awesome time at Nikos’s place, he gave very useful tips and his apartment is at walking distance from everything in Matala(as the village is very small). As mentioned in other posts, there are quite a few steps to the place but you get used to it, and it’s a great workout after a big dinner in one of the restaurants below. One of the days it was too windy to be on the beach so we stayed on the terrace of the accommodation with a great view of the sea, the sound of the waves and privacy from others. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Thank you Nikos!

We had an incredible stay at the Elachron villa! From the moment we arrived, Theodora welcomed us warmly in person, making us feel right at home. She went above and beyond, cooking us a delicious breakfast one morning and Stelios assisting us with our BBQ. The hosts were always ready to help with anything we needed. The villa itself was stunning — spacious, with an amazing view. The pool was a highlight, large and perfect for relaxing, and it even came equipped with goggles and gear for watersports. Inside, the villa had an amazing games room with a pool table, PlayStation, Smart TV, and much more to keep everyone entertained. Overall, a truly unforgettable experience, thanks to Theodora’s hospitality.

Tolle, etwas versteckte und ruhige Lage, man fühlt sich sehr sicher. Die Wohnung an sich ist über eine kleine Treppe zu erreichen. Die Wohnung hat 2 Doppelbetten, eine Badewanne und eine kleine Küche. Perfekt für einen auch längeren Aufenthalt sind die zahlreichen Küchenutensilien. Die Klimaanlage will man auch nicht missen :) Alles in Allem ein sehr schönes und gut durchdachtes Airbnb (es gibt einen Airfryer!). Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. 5*
