The Dragonfly's Nest

Enjoy this bush block and the nearby nature reserves, listen to the cockatoos amongst the gum trees or the odd duck on the dam. Fall asleep to the frog song and wake to the kookaburra calls. Take a torch out and look for the many possums and quendas amongst some of the old ruins. This charming getaway is close to the city but has the benefits of being in the bush. Our self-contained upstairs suite comprises bedroom, bathroom, lounge, kitchenette and large private balcony with an uninterrupted view of our Regional Parkland. We have an acre of garden with a variety of native and exotic plants, which Linda will be pleased to show you around. There are several signed walks in the area, plenty of cafes and restaurants in town, wineries and orchards close by.

Our guesthouse is situated near the top of the hill with a steep driveway and stairs entry. You'll have a pub within walking distance and the beautiful Araluen Park and great restaurants nearby.

Umatah Retreat Chalet

Umatah is part of the original State Brick Works that was closed down in the 1940’s after their excavations hit an underground spring. The property runs on organic principles and has a mango orchard, apiary, vegetable wicking beds plus various other fruit and nut trees. There is a large waterhole, landscaped gardens and endless native bushland.
