Ryokan holiday rentals in Kamo River

Logement très sympathique, nous y avons séjourné à 4 sans aucun problème. Il est bien situé, pas très loin de la gare, idéal pour les escapades la journée. Possibilité d’accéder à des konbini à 5/10 minutes de marche. 2 vélos étaient mis à notre disposition si nous le souhaitions. La pièce principale est très grande et très jolie. Le logement est entièrement climatisé, idéal pour les nuits un peu chaudes ou froides. Les 2 chambres étaient très propres et confortables. Assez grand pour ne pas que l’on se marche dessus les un les autres à 4. Le petit bain extérieur quant à lui était une touche très agréable. Il était très facile à préparer et à utiliser. Tout est bien indiqué dans un livre sur la table lors de l’arrivée (pour les climatisations, les fonctionnement de la machine, etc…) Petit bémol, les escaliers sont assez abrupts, presque de l’escalade. N’est donc pas recommandé pour les personnes âgées par exemple. En conclusion, logement propre, joli, spacieux, bien situé.

I wish I could’ve stayed longer ! Everything was perfect during my stay, it’s a very peaceful and quiet place, and we’re not too far from the center of Kyoto It was my first time sleeping on a futon and this is honestly very comfortable ! I’ve got welcomed by Mrs. T (I don’t know if I’m allowed to say her name in the review), she was so sweet and kind, she showed me some food recommendations, and brought my breakfast in the morning Thank you so much again for having me, and I hope to come back soon ! ☺️

We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cottage. The house was very clean and spacious. For us, the best part was the location. It truly felt like we were locals living in the community where Cozy Cottage is located. All of the staff were also very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time, and the stay definitely made our time in Kyoto extra special. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a bit of a slower pace in Kyoto.

The flat was really cozy, with a perfect traditional Japanese style and great for an immersive experience! The bathroom with a tub was beautiful. We loved the tatami flooring, and the Japanese furniture and decor added a lovely touch. The location was peaceful but very close to the city center, with shops and restaurants nearby. We really enjoyed our stay!

We had a great stay in Kyoto at the Gojo Miyabi Inn! Yumi was a wonderful host, she welcomed us and gave us a run down of the home and some helpful local recommendations. Very clean place with a great traditional feel. Comfortable beds, in a quiet neighbourhood, with a 24hr grocery and 711 within a 5 minute walk. Very close to Kyoto station and subway stations, highly central! Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful, historic house in Kyoto. The location was ideal—central yet wonderfully quiet, allowing us to relax while still being close to everything. A friend of the host kindly met us in person and guided us to the house, which was a lovely and much-appreciated touch. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the instructions for check-in and using the amenities were clear and easy to follow. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this unique and peaceful place to anyone visiting Kyoto.

Mayumi was very helpful and sweet with the entire process, including answering all the questions I had! Location was perfect with convenience stores nearby, along with great restaurants and a park for the kids. The house was beautiful and just like the pictures. AC in each room was nice and great amenities too! Perfect for large family 11/10 recommend !!

Katsuya's home is absolutely gorgeous. Every detail is so well considered. He has left a biography of the artists whose work is in the house, and a brief history of the renovation as well, which I found fascinating. Nothing is overlooked. A wonderful experience.

Sehr sauber und gepflegt. Es wurde wirklich an alles gedacht. Es hatte sogar Adapter für die Steckdosen, man muss nicht mal seinen eigenen mitnehmen (trotzdem empfehle ich es nur für den Fall). Für den Preis zu gut in meinen Augen. Gastgeberin ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, hat wirklich Spass gemacht. Auch die Küche war top ausgestattet mit Geschirr und sogar Schere etc. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Ich kann diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen. Man fühlt sich so richtig in Japan angekommen.

Just as lovely and cozy as when we stayed five years ago. This Machiya exudes calm upscale elegance. Beautiful view. Spa like bath area. Spacious and airy. Convenient location and now with a second great cafe right next door!

This house is located in a fantastic location, only a 6 min walk from the nearest station. Shiho, the host, was very accommodating. She greeted us as we arrived and gave a house tour. She also asked how we were going and made sure everyone was okay, something that is rarely done for Airbnb hosts. Everything in the house was clean and organised, the beds and futons were comfortable, and overall we had a great time staying at this place.

Wonderful arcade setting with great shops & restaurants, and easy canal-side walking to Gion and Kiyomizudera. Great public transport at top end of arcade to other parts of the city. Highly recommended!

An impeccable home in a darling neighborhood walkable to shops and restaurants yet far enough from touristy areas to feel the charm of Kyoto. We loved it and highly recommend this spot! It’s one of my all time favorite vacation homes! Karen was quick to respond and lovely. The house is on the channel which is being renovated and it’s beautiful as well as an easy guide walking home. It’s hard to get lost. The spacious rooms offered either a western or a futon sleeping option. The main bathroom was exquisite with a soaking tub and shower option. AC worked great. For two of our nights we had 3 couples and it felt like plenty of room for quiet time after walking miles.

非常非常漂亮的日式町屋！就是日本电影里的房子！也很干净！就是隔音不太好，但是非常值得！

het huis is prachtig, vooral de familiekamer is erg de moeite. de badkamer is gemeenschappelijk maar dit gaf nooit problemen. het ontbijt was echt voortreffelijk, het personeel één voor één heel sympathiek. ok wil heel graag terug.

Such an amazing host! The space is so beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. In the common space, there is a traditional Japanese garden that is stunning. They use a lot of incense too, making it so calming. You also get a traditional Japanese breakfast in the morning! You get your own room/bed, with shared bathroom. We went in the summer and thank God, there was AC in our bedroom. There's also so many family-owned restaurants in the area. We ate at so many hidden gems. All in all, incredibly worth it.

This was the nicest place we stayed in Kyoto! The host was very friendly and helpful, the space (especially the garden!) is great, the room was spacious, and the breakfast was delicious.

Staying at this AIRBNB was an amazing experience. The host was on top of everything, and was so nice. 👍 I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for an escape from the city. The surroundings were breathtaking.

Chieri en haar moeder en hun schattige hond zijn hele lieve hosts die er alles aan doen om je verblijf een echte authentieke Japanse ervaring te laten zijn. Hun huis is prachtig ingericht, ruim en voelt heel fijn en gastvrij. Het café en de biertuin van Chieri zijn ook zeker de moeite waard om te bezoeken. Het eten en drinken en het gratis Japanse ontbijt waren heerlijk. En als je nog authentieke Japanse souvenirs zoekt zijn die hier ook te vinden. Al met al een perfecte plek om even tot rust te komen na het bezoeken van de drukke steden als Kyoto en Osaka.
