Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Kamo River

House is spotless and very comfortable for 6 people. It’s very near a family mart 150m away and it’s very convenient to a subway station as well (within 5 min walk). If you are driving the roads are a little narrow so do be careful on that. House is great and very very comfortable for all of us. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

It was a great deal! And beautiful spot. Only thing I would change is the check in process, which involves checking it at an outside site.

We had a great stay at Kako’s place! Would definitely stay there again! It was close to the metro station and not very loud compared to other areas!

Loved our stay! Location was very convenient, just 5 minutes away from Kyoto station. Home was beautiful and spacious for our family of 4. Host was very kind and answered any questions we had very promptly. Bonus point to us is ride 4 🚲 discovery all of treasures in Kyoto. This Airbnb was accommodating to us as a family of 5, it had all the necessities that we needed, was close to the train station & supermarket, it’s in a nice quiet area. 10/10 I would stay here again.

This is a great place for travellers on a budget, train station was within a 6 minute walk and supermarkets close enough. It can sleep up to 6 individuals, it would be a squeeze to put a couple in one bunk. Mattresses are thin also. Overall a really good place for what we paid!

I was able to relax in a very beautiful room as shown in the photos.It was also very helpful to be able to store my luggage in advance.

I'm a repeat guest! That should say a lot. Place is conveniently located, has everything a single person needs for an extended stay. my favourite local activity was taking walks along the river and watching the trains.

This time I went to Kansai with my friends, I stayed at Xiaodai's house for three nights, it was really great, elegant Japanese tatami villa, the interior decoration is also very beautiful, living inside is very welcoming, the villa is located in the wealthy area of Kyoto, the environment is very good, although it is not in the center of the city, the supporting facilities are very good, the subway and convenience store are within a short walking distance.And then, Sister Dai is really super nice!Very enthusiastic. He answered all kinds of questions on WeChat before checking in. He drove to Kyoto to pick us up at Yamashina Station on the day of arriving, and then gave us a detailed introduction of how to play in Kyoto. How to take a car, let us contact her on WeChat at any time when we encounter problems. The last night also took out a treasure of wine. It made me feel like a host, but a good friend who has been hosting me in Japan for many years.

We loved staying here! It had everything we needed and was peaceful and had beautiful surroundings. it was so convenient that it had a washing machine. There is even a delicious bakery next door! I recommend this location! Naomi was so kind and helpful.

Built during the Showa era, the house has survived significant historical events. Taru and Tina warmly welcomed us and shared fascinating stories about the home. The traditional garden view and the lovingly curated interiors make it feel like a living museum. The bathroom, featuring both indoor and outdoor hot springs, was a highlight, providing a luxurious bathing experience. In the evening, we enjoyed homemade aperitifs and Hokkaido octopus sashimi, followed by sukiyaki cooked in a vintage iron pot with local ingredients. Breakfast overlooking the garden was delightful, and we even spotted cherry blossoms nearby. The peaceful surroundings allowed us to fully relax and appreciate the beauty. Chiho was a very gracious host and her house is beautiful. It was also very well stocked with everything we needed. I would definitely return!
