Smoking friendly holiday rentals in Kalamaki Beach

Nous avons passé un séjour dans le White appartement ! Il est situé à l’arrière du bâtiment principal de la résidence Diamanti. Il y a d’un côté l’appartement et à l’extérieur la cuisine d’été et le spa accessibles par une petite porte. Nous n’avons malheureusement pas pu profiter de la cuisine d’été car le temps n’était pas au rdv … mais le spa était top 👍 et l’appartement très fonctionnel avait une Clim réversible que nous avons apprécié ! C’était vraiment paisible ☺️ Nikos a été très réactif à nos demandes et nous a donné de bons conseils sur les enivrons et des contacts utiles. Lygaria est vraiment une petite station balnéaire avec tout ce qu’il faut sur place et calme. Notre séjour était super agréable 👍 Je recommande vivement ! Merci 🙏

Perfect location, 20m to the beach, many restaurants, friendly people, parking spot bit tricky but never more than 200m. Communication perfect, very proactive. Exactly as the pictures shows.

Kleine, einfache aber feine Unterkunft. Alles Nötige vorhanden. Ruhig gelegen, mit kleinem grünen Garten. Freundliche Vermieter. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Sises ciems ir mierīgs un ļoti patīkams, ciemā atrodas divas tavernas un divi veikali, blakus atrodas centrālā šoseja, kas mūsu gadījumā bija dikti ērti, jo bijām noīrējuši mašīnu, lai apbraukātu salas rietumu pusi, kā arī ar mašīnu 4 minūšu attālumā atrodas jauka pludmale. Atrodoties šajā dzīvoklī un ciematā mēs izbaudījām nesteidzīgo Krētas atmosfēru un piepilsētas dzīvi, ar visiem tās labumiem. Nikos ar savu ģimeni mūsu uzņemšanas laikā bija ļoti draudzīgi un viesmīlīgi un atstāja tikai tās labākās atmiņas no mūsu ceļojuma. Ja jūs domājat par šīs nakts mītnes izīrēšanu es Jums silti iesaku to arī darīt, jo nenožēlosiet. Paldies liels Nikos un viņa ģimenei. Σε ευχαριστώ πολύ.

Dimitris has been a very helpful host suggesting us a lot of activities around Kouses. Zaneta is taking care of the flat and she has been very friendly and present for any request. She also brought us the bread from the church and a traditional soup on Easter. We could understand each other even if we didn't speak any language in common. The terrace of the flat has a wonderful view on the Psiloritis mount and the hills around and it's great time to sit there at sunset. The village is cozy, very friendly people, a great kafenion/taverna. Maria -the owner- adopted us for dinner and we loces her home-made food. We felt at home. Definitely I would reccomend staying at Dimitris' place!

Retro Gaming Paradise – A Perfect Stay! We had an amazing time at this apartment! The place was a nostalgic dream for any retro gaming fan—fully stocked with classic consoles like the N64, Dreamcast, Game Boys, and more! along with a great selection of games. It was the perfect setup to unwind and relive some childhood favorites. The space itself was beautifully designed—clean, cozy, and super aesthetic, with thoughtful touches that really gave it character. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept like babies each night. The location was also ideal—close to everything - center , food places, shops, beach , with easy access to local attractions. On top of all that, George is a fantastic host : friendly, responsive, and full of excellent local recommendations that really added to the experience!! Highly recommend this spot for gamers or anyone looking for a unique and comfortable stay!

Giannis est un hôte très investi, réactif et discret. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil avec une pâtisserie (très bonne!), les oranges dans le frigo ainsi que les boissons mises à disposition. L'environnement est très agréable et la situation est idéale au calme mais proche de la promenade avec les restaurants. En cas de questions, Giannis a toujours été disponible ainsi que pour nous faire des recommandations. Le logement est tout à fait conforme à la description. Cependant, il ne faut pas être trop grand pour la partie nuit et la salle de bain mais sinon tout était très bien !

Verschlafenes ruhiges Örtchen mit malerischer Natur, kristallklarem Wasser, toller Unterkunft und herzlichem, zuvorkommenden Gastgebern. Ein Paradies abseits der Touristenströme. Balkon mit herrlicher Aussicht, viele leere Strände, 3 tolle Tavernen. Wieso tut ihr euch die konsumbetonten Touristenhochburgen an? Kommt zu Filipos :)

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche im Haus Kallisti. Es ist so schön wie auf den Fotos zu sehen, die Küche gut ausgestattet, das Haus blitzsauber und schön eingerichtet. Auch der Außenbereich ist sehr gepflegt, es gibt 2 verschiedenen Grillstationen und chillige Plätze zum entspannen, einen kleinen Pool und bequeme Liegen. Die Nähe zum Naturstrand von Afrathias mit der kleinen Strandtaverne, die tollen Restaurants in den umliegenden Orten (Pitsidia, Kalamaki, Sivas….) - für uns war es der perfekte Ort um zu erholen und die Gegend per Fahrrad zu erkunden. Tolle FeWo, klasse Ausblick, sauber, liebevoll gepflegte Gartenanlage und Pool

We loved our week in Eleftheria and Manolis’s hillside home. Our every need was catered for: we were given a warm welcome with delicious evening meal and other goodies; Eleftheria was full of helpful recommendations of places to eat; the bed was comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped; and the beautiful terrace and refreshing little pool - from which we could look down onto the Libyan Sea - beckoned each time we returned from our adventures around the coast and mountains. Terracotta pots brimming with geraniums and basil, and olive trees around our borders, made it a very special place to relax, though the setting is what made it stand out: we had complete privacy and utter peace (we heard only goats, sheep and the occasional distant dog). And the sunsets will stay with us for a very long time. Thank you Eleftheria and Manolis

Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt bei Michalis! Die Lage der Unterkunft ist ideal, mit wunderschönem Ausblick und einer ruhigen Umgebung. Michalis und sein Sohn haben uns herzlich empfangen, auch wenn wir etwas später ankamen, weil wir die für uns schönere Route durch die Stadt Rethymno genommen hatten. Zur Begrüßung wartete eine Karaffe Raki und gekühltes Wasser auf uns – eine sehr nette Geste von Michalis. Besonders genossen haben wir das Frühstücken auf dem Balkon, mit Blick aufs kretische Meer und umgeben von Hühnern, Enten, Katzen und dem freundlichen Hund Bruno. Unser Sohn war begeistert und hätte am liebsten alle Tiere mitgenommen! Das Haus selbst ist groß, gemütlich und perfekt ausgestattet und wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Michalis’ Vater überraschte uns sogar mit frischen Eiern, eine wirklich liebevolle Aufmerksamkeit. Insgesamt ist diese Unterkunft ein Ort zum Entspannen und Genießen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Absolut empfehlenswert!

We stayed as a family of six, four adults and two children (8 and 5). The set up was really comfortable and worked perfectly for us. The outdoor pool area is great and our two kids loved it - especially as there were lots of inflatables left to play with. We arrived at 3am. Xristos offered to meet us, but when we suggested with young children we'd prefer just to get in and get to bed, then meet up after it was no problem at all. We had instructions to call when we arrived, and the gate was opened for us. We were blown away by how well supplied the house was. Xristos was in touch in the week before to check if we needed anything in particular and couldn't have been more helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to start our holiday. Then we had a delivery of local fruit and wild artichokes as they were in season. Amazing. There was a dust storm before we arrived. Xristos promptly sorted this too. A great and relaxed place to stay, with an unbelievably good host. Thanks!

Manos's place was located at a beautiful ans peaceful location, near the city centre but also at a good distance away from too much crowds. The apartment was as described, and is also clean and spacious. Manos even provided handmade cookies from his father and local Raki for us to try. He was also open to us leaving our luggages in the apartment while it was being cleaned due to our earlier arrival. Overall a very pleasant and lovely experience!

Mai 2025, 10 Nächte Aufenthalt zu dritt (2 Erwachsene, 1 Kleinkind). Die Villa ist wirklich traumhaft. Wunderschöner Blick aufs Meer und die Bucht. Sie bietet sehr viel Platz auch für mehr Personen (2 Paare, 4-6 Freunde, 2 Familien) und für längere Aufenthalte (Stauraum, Schränke und Regale, etc.). Die Ausstattung entspricht der Beschreibung und bietet, auch in der Küche, alles was man brauchen kann. Unser Highlight war die überdachte Terrasse. Unser Flug wurde kurzfristig vorverlegt. Ein deutlich früherer Check-In war in unserem Fall überhaupt kein Problem. Stelios ist ein sehr freundlicher, hilfsbereiter und engagierter Gastgeber. Wir empfehlen Ihn und seine Villa ohne Einschränkung weiter. Kleine Einschränkung: die Unterkunft ist etwas ab vom Schuss bzw. die Region ist etwas zersiedelt (hauptsächlich wegen der Geographie des Geländes). Ohne eigenes Auto wird es etwas schwierig unserer Meinung nach. Einen kostenfreien Parkplatz direkt am Haus gibt es aber.

**Tolle Unterkunft – absolut empfehlenswert!** Wir hatten das Vergnügen, in diesem wunderschönen Airbnb zu übernachten, und waren von Anfang an begeistert. Das Haus ist hervorragend ausgestattet – es fehlte an nichts! Von der Küche bis hin zu den Wohnbereichen war alles durchdacht eingerichtet und auf höchstem Niveau. Die Sauberkeit war makellos, was uns sofort ein sehr gutes Gefühl gegeben hat. Das Haus ist geräumig und bietet genug Platz, um sich auch bei längeren Aufenthalten wohlzufühlen. Besonders toll fanden wir die gemütliche Atmosphäre, die das Haus vermittelt – man fühlt sich direkt wie zu Hause. Ein großer Pluspunkt sind die Parkmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe, was den Aufenthalt noch komfortabler macht. Außerdem gibt es viele Restaurants in der Umgebung, sodass für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei ist. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier wirklich genossen und können diese Unterkunft sehr gerne weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeber für die tolle Erfahrung:)

It was a wonderful stay! The apartment is completely new, modern and beautifully decorated. The hosts are a kind young couple who are extremely hospitable and professional. Starting with care before arrival, through a tour of the apartment, numerous recommendations about Rethymno, refreshments with cake, honey and other food, and finally fulfilling a special request. The location is fantastic, a few steps to everything. Thank you! I will be back.

Wir waren vom 6.10.-12.10. bei Nikos in der Unterkunft. Der Meerblick war toll. Abends haben wir das Meer rauschen gehört. 2 Minuten zum Strand. Das Wasser war klar und angenehme 25°. Am Strand waren nicht viele Leute, eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Insel bietet viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Altstadt von Rethymno ist allein eine Reise wert. Die Preise sind ok. Die Griechen sind nett und gastfreundlich. Nikos war zur Stelle, wenn wir ein Anliegen hatten. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Diese Unterkunft können wir empfehlen👍. the place was very nice and Maria was very hospitable. Her mom gave us delicious homemade cookies. The house looked as if someone is still living there. there were personal photos and what seemed like personal items. looked a lot like a "home". We had a lovely time. thank you Maria.

Giorgio’s place is excellent! Great location close to town! It was very clean and our room had been newly renovated. Craziest, coolest shower I’ve ever seen! Giorgios is very nice and response time was quick. Highly recommended!

I‘m more that happy that we decided to stay at Dimitri‘s place. He ish very kind and helped us right away, if we had any questions. The location is peaceful and has a great view. The beach is not far away and the size of the apartment is just perfekt for a single person or a couple. I will definitely visit again.

Sofia and her dad Giorgos were great hosts, from meeting, explaining and taking the time to make great recommendations to checking in often, very much appreciated! We loved Iraklio (and Heraklion) and the flat had what the 4 of us needed to enjoy our stay. We spent our mornings and evenings on the decks and loved eating outside and drinking beverages. The recommendation for the Peskesi farm to table restaurant was spot on! The restaurant/cafes options in walking distance of the flat are plentiful and every place we tried was good. We walked everywhere, and took a city bus to the wonderful beach by the airport and the ferry excursion to Santorini one day. The archaeological museum is a stand out, and the history museum and Venetian Fortress were also great sites. Ended up skipping Knossos as the artifacts found were in the archaeological museum, so no opinion on that. We shall return to Crete some time and when staying in the area would gladly book with Sofia!

We were specially pleased by the kitchen, it really felt like home with everything needed there :)
