Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Kalamaki Beach

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

We stayed as a family of six, four adults and two children (8 and 5). The set up was really comfortable and worked perfectly for us. The outdoor pool area is great and our two kids loved it - especially as there were lots of inflatables left to play with. We arrived at 3am. Xristos offered to meet us, but when we suggested with young children we'd prefer just to get in and get to bed, then meet up after it was no problem at all. We had instructions to call when we arrived, and the gate was opened for us. We were blown away by how well supplied the house was. Xristos was in touch in the week before to check if we needed anything in particular and couldn't have been more helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to start our holiday. Then we had a delivery of local fruit and wild artichokes as they were in season. Amazing. There was a dust storm before we arrived. Xristos promptly sorted this too. A great and relaxed place to stay, with an unbelievably good host. Thanks!

The place was perfect for our requirement with lots of lovely things left for us and Ioanis was very good when we stupidly locked ourselves out. We would certainly recommend it to others and return ourselves if we came to Crete again.

Logement de rêve pour des vacances au calme hors des zones touristiques! Pompia est un village authentique d'environ 1000 habitants. Vous croiserez surtout des locaux en vous promenant dans le village et en allant aux restaurants à 2min à pied. Les appartements sont parfaitement adaptés pour cuisiner et les murs épais en font des espaces frais. Le cadre est paisible avec une terrasse de toit et des couchers de soleil magnifiques à observer. C'est clairement une pépite!

Mai 2025, 10 Nächte Aufenthalt zu dritt (2 Erwachsene, 1 Kleinkind). Die Villa ist wirklich traumhaft. Wunderschöner Blick aufs Meer und die Bucht. Sie bietet sehr viel Platz auch für mehr Personen (2 Paare, 4-6 Freunde, 2 Familien) und für längere Aufenthalte (Stauraum, Schränke und Regale, etc.). Die Ausstattung entspricht der Beschreibung und bietet, auch in der Küche, alles was man brauchen kann. Unser Highlight war die überdachte Terrasse. Unser Flug wurde kurzfristig vorverlegt. Ein deutlich früherer Check-In war in unserem Fall überhaupt kein Problem. Stelios ist ein sehr freundlicher, hilfsbereiter und engagierter Gastgeber. Wir empfehlen Ihn und seine Villa ohne Einschränkung weiter. Kleine Einschränkung: die Unterkunft ist etwas ab vom Schuss bzw. die Region ist etwas zersiedelt (hauptsächlich wegen der Geographie des Geländes). Ohne eigenes Auto wird es etwas schwierig unserer Meinung nach. Einen kostenfreien Parkplatz direkt am Haus gibt es aber.

Liebe Kleopatra, wir durften jetzt zum dritten Mal in Kerames sein und zum zweiten Mal in deiner Unterkunft. Wir haben es wieder genossen! Kerames, die Strände der Umgebung, Nikos Taverne, Hund Roxy, die Katzen und dein wunderschönes Haus sind für uns mittlerweile wie nach Hause kommen! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ein Traumurlaub mit Freunden – DejaView auf Kreta ist ein echtes Juwel! Wir durften einige unvergessliche Tage im Ferienhaus DejaView verbringen – und es war einfach traumhaft! Das Haus selbst ist modern, stilvoll und mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich wünschen kann. Besonders der großzügige Pool und der atemberaubende Ausblick über die kretische Landschaft bis hin zum Meer haben uns jeden Tag aufs Neue begeistert. Was diesen Ort aber wirklich besonders macht, ist der Gastgeber. Vom ersten Moment an war er unglaublich herzlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam – nach kürzester Zeit fühlte es sich an, als hätten wir einen Freund vor Ort gefunden. Ob Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurantempfehlungen oder einfach nur ein nettes Gespräch – er war immer für uns da und hat unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. DejaView ist der perfekte Ort zum Abschalten, Genießen und Wohlfühlen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

compleet huis met alles er in wat nodig is, te veel zelfs als je bedenkt wat er allemaal bij zat (fruit kruiden, olie, jam, boter,...) je kon er zo in,. en dan het dorpje met aardige, behulpzame mensen, auto is wel een vereiste, anders kom je nergens.

The space was spacious, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. We especially loved the large deck—perfect for enjoying morning coffee or dining outdoors. The location is great, with a wonderful bakery and market just a short walk away. You’ll need a car to explore the town and surrounding area, but everything is within a short, easy drive. Our host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, sharing great tips and insights about the area. They also took the time to share aspects of the local culture, which made our stay feel even more special. We were lucky to be in Rethymno over Easter—it was an unforgettable experience!

Het was een perfecte plek! George en familie waren erg gastvrij! Onze dochter mocht zelfs even boven spelen met zijn kinderen! Appartement was mooi, ruim en erg schoon! Met grote balkons (met een fantastisch uitzicht) en een ruime tuin die perfect was voor onze 4 jarige dochter. Van de tuin kregen we sla, eieren, schapenmelk en olijfolie. In de buurt snel bij het strand, lekkere restaurantjes en wandelroutes. Voor herhaling vatbaar! Wij hebben genoten :).

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di soggiornare nell’appartamento di Rena dal 26/5 al 2/6/‘25 ed è stata un’esperienza fantastica! L’appartamento era come da descrizione ma la vista dal terrazzo ha superato anche le aspettative! Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto conoscere Rena personalmente ma è sempre stata presente ad ogni nostra richiesta, ci aveva avvisati in anticipo che il Market del paese sarebbe stato ancora chiuso così abbiamo potuto premunirci di spesa prima di arrivare ma lei comunque ci ha fatto trovare in casa di tutto (grazie ancora!). In casa è presente ogni tipo di accessorio utile per la cucina ma anche delle accortezze che non avevo mai trovato in altre occasioni! La strada per raggiungere questo piccolo Paesino è parecchio tortuosa ma noi stavamo così bene lì che ci siamo spostati solo una volta. Ci sono 2/3 spiagge (dove spesso eravamo da soli) raggiungibile con una bella passeggiata in mezzo al nulla respirando il profumo dell’origano! Speriamo di poterci ritornare!

It was my second time at Manolis’ place and I love it. It’s one of most magic places I know on this planet and Manoils and his parents are always very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is very well equipped and the apartment very cosy and bright. Especially in autumn I like this area and the balcony because it’s very calm and relaxed - you are very near the ocean. Like last time Manolis mum prepared some dinner for me and the fridge was full of food ❤️. Unfortunately there was some strong wind during my 4 weeks there and so I had some power outages and wifi / fon connection outages. Manolis did his very best and was very helpful to get it fixed as soon as possible.

Logement très bien situé et très propre, à proximité d’excellents restaurants et services, avec une vue incroyable. L’hote est disponible et efficace. Arrivée facile. Merci Nikolaos!

Stavros was fantastic, as was the history of this wonderful place. Rethymno was a beautiful town and we explored everywhere on foot. We decided on walking in the morning and then having a late lunch (each lunch was fantastic) and walking back up the hill to have a light supper on the deck at sunset. Beautiful and thank you so much for the care you put into your house to make it a wonderful experience.

We loved our stay at the Alice Villa. Location is truly fantastic for shopping and loads of restaurants. We spent quite a bit of time at the villa when the weather wasn’t the greatest and we couldn’t have been happier. Thank you Marianna for the wonderful hospitality and the gifts. Have to mention the people we met in the restaurants and on the streets, soooo friendly. We were very sad to leave. Could’ve stayed a lot Longer. Book it, youll love it. Until next time.

We had an amazing time at this lovely place. The view from the balcony is absolutely spectacular. And just a short walk down the hill, and you are right by the beach, where you also find some good local taverna. It does get a bit hot in the apartment, but the AC helps. Absolute highlight was the amazing homemade Greek food by host Eleni. Never experienced such hospitality in an Airbnb before! Will definitely visit again!

Nikos' place is incredible. It totally transports you to another time and lets you absorb the beauty of the Cretan landscape and nature. We noticed something new every day. Having the pool with stunning views of the mountains and sea, a well-equipped kitchen and an olive tree shaded seating area to eat in, meant we rarely had to leave the place! A holiday to remember forever for us. Thank you

Beautiful place, great for families. Lots of toys and even a potty for the kids! Cleaner came mid week which was not necessary but so great. Beach is a 3 min walk. Really need a car to get there which was fine for us! Thanks for everything.

Vi havde en helt fantastisk oplevelse i denne bolig på Kreta! Den var endnu mere imponerende i virkeligheden end på billederne, hvilket siger en del, for billederne er allerede ret gode. Boligen var super ren ved ankomst, og værterne havde sørget for nogle fornødenheder, så vi nemt kunne komme godt i gang. Værterne, Nikolaj, Hara og deres team, var utroligt imødekommende, gæstfrie og altid hurtige til at svare. Boligen var meget familievenlig og havde alt, hvad man kunne få brug for. Det var også dejligt privat, og poolen blev gjort ren hver anden dag, så der var virkelig styr på det hele. Udsigten var også helt enestående. Alt i alt en oplevelse, vi varmt kan anbefale!

Lovely villa sitting in the hills outside of Rethymno City. All self contained and immaculately kept and maintained. Very responsive host who was most welcoming. Nikos and his daughter Katerina did a fantastic job responding to our needs and making us most welcome. Katerina has superb English so communication was never a problem. Would thoroughly recommend. It would also suggest you need a car to get about either down the hill to City and beaches or up the hill to mountain villages and exploring. Pool is great and outdoor space around the villa is superb. Reccomendations - we followed up on a few authentic tavernas from Katerina and they were superb. Would defo go and eat at Athivoles Taverna in Chromonastiri. Only a short drive away ie 7 km but basically the most authentic Cretan cuisine you will taste for sure. Hits were magnificent. All in all we had a great family holiday.

We LOVED this place!! The villa, the location, and the hosts Eleni and Georgios are all fantastic. The house is stunningly designed inside and out, for both functionality and luxury. The kitchen is supremely well-equipped, beds comfortable, bathrooms and living spaces airy and stylish. We appreciated the multiple terraces, beautiful swimming pool and sauna with a view! The location is perfect without a car: easily walkable to bars, restaurants and supermarkets in Plakias, but situated at the best, quietest, wildest end of the bay, with sandy beach, clear water, a couple of cool beach bars for sundowners and a beautiful walk on the headland. If you do have a car, there are amazing beaches nearby (Skinaria is gorgeous), and walking (and cold swimming) in the Kourtaliotiko Gorge. Eleni and Georgios are amazing hosts: communicative, friendly, thoughtful, offering local recommendations and dealing with any questions or issues efficiently - thank you! 🤩

The house is simply gorgeous. Our family had a wonderful Christmas holiday here. The host was very generous with items in the refrigerator and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of recommendations of places to eat in the area. Michael met us in the driveway upon arrival and showed us everything in the house, that was very kind. Especially loved access to the washer and dryer because we were traveling with kids. It was too cold to use the pool, but if you are here when it is warm, it would be such delight.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! Great location with it only being a 15 minute drive to Rethymno centre. Great facilities at the house, the pool & hot tub are a great addition to your stay. Check-in/check-out was made super easy with great communication between all parties involved. Would 100% recommend & return in the future :)

We stayed at the house as a group of 5 and had the most amazing time. The house is spacious, has a big kitchen with all necessary supplies and had a lot of room to sit together, a perfect place for each time of the day. And not to forget about the amazing view!!! Worth to highlight is that there were a lot of extra supplies in the house like olive oil, raki, etc. We enjoyed that a lot. Also the outside area was cleaned everyday and the bathrooms were cleaned once during the stay. We didn’t miss a thing and can highly recommend staying in this amazing house with great hosts!!
