Kelvin & Nathalie are lucky enough to live in this paradise. They came to meet us as we arrived, and helped ferry our baggage across the river, because it was high tide. It was the same when we checked out - Kelvin ferried the gear while we took the short jungle path and remained dry. Between those times, the river was no obstacle at all. We enjoyed walking through it to get to the main beach, with its restaurants, scuba places & small shops. Kelvin was kind enough to allow us free use of his kayaks, too. We found plenty to do, even if that was just sunbathing or people-watching. This paradise was full of wildlife - fish in the river & sea, kingfishers, hummingbirds, hermit crabs, geckos, flying foxes, eagles. Amazing. None of these ventured into the bungalow, only the odd ant, if we didn’t wipe up after making a spot of lunch. All the restaurants we tried were great and had vegan options. We didn’t want to leave.

Standard Suites Villa

Very friendly staff. Clean comfortable accommodation. Food was very nice although it’s a set menu so there is no choice of what you have and is quite pricey for Malaysia even taking into account that your on an island and it may be harder to get ingredients there. There is also an issue with cats at the dinner table, it would be better if the staff stayed on top of keeping the cats away from guest while eating. Sand flies were bad during our stay but we were given a detol spray by reception for free which worked. Any inch of skin not sprayed was bitten and they are very itchy bites. Visibility in the water wasn’t good during our stay, between 1.5-3m. There was a lot of plankton some of them stinging. However we did mange to see several turtles, cuttlefish, a large jellyfish with many other fish living around it and a variety of healthy looking coral. So perhaps another time of year it would be really great for snorkelling and diving.

Executives Suites Sea View

Had a great time here with friends. Beach was relatively private and clean, and the Resort helped us a bunch in settling down and sorting out our questions about the area. Definitely recommend to come back here again for a chill staycation away from the city with friends and family.

Bayu Lestari resort was just what my girls and I needed for our retreat. Service was fantastic and food was great! Very hassle free as everything will be managed by the team. Service staff were extremely attentive and very proactive. Excellent excellent excellent place and highly recommended!

We had a good experience here. The place is quite and very spacious for big group. The most I like is dinning room and kitchen which is very convenient and big dining table for big group. All bed rooms are with air con except living room which is a bit hot during day time but acceptable. The host is very proactive, he immediately do action when we need assistance, like replacing gas cylinder during preparation of our breakfast due to gas run out. The place is very near to local restaurants and shopping centre (5mim drive) . Very recommended for big group !
