This was my first stay in Door County and with Patty. There were 4 of us (me, my wife, my 5 year old daughter, and my 1 year old son) along with our golden doodle traveling together. We used Patty's crystal clear directions and got there without a hitch. We were impressed with how clean everything was! The floors, counters, bathrooms, etc. Being a log cabin, there are tons of nooks and crannies and we didn't see any that were dusty. It was easy to relax in a place that was so clean. The decor was very cute! Lots of cabin-themed items, but it wasn't cluttered, which I appreciated with two young kids that like to touch and handle *everything.* The kitchen was very well stocked with nice pots/pans, good utensils, and both adult and kid-friendly plates and cups which made it easier to relax at mealtimes. The new hot tub was really nice - a much needed treat after the kids went to bed! Both Patty and the house were awesome! I look forward to staying here again!

Sunset Sanctuary is an accurate description. Great place to enjoy some peace and quiet with a fantastic view of the lake. This was a perfect weekend getaway with a spouse if you need some R&R.

This stay was more then we expected! It had everything we needed and more. My kids were either down at the dock to fish or using the Kayaks that were at the house or our standup paddle board. I will be telling everyone about our stay and I hope to stay again soon!! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home it was exactly what my family needed.

You will not regret booking this place! It was everything you could possibly need for a home away from home in a GORGEOUS place. The beautiful lake was visible from the sunroom and there were so many games and amenities that made it feel like home. It was very clean and had lots of water toys to play with as well. The hot tub was a nice bonus as well. We absolutely loved disconnecting here and appreciated all the little touches like blankets in every corner and firewood and kitchen essentials. We would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful hiking weekend at Rena’s place! The location was perfect—close to several trails and scenic spots. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay after long days outdoors. What really stood out was our hostess’s hospitality—she gave us so many great recommendations for hikes, restaurants, etc. and her tips made our trip even better! Highly recommend staying here if you're looking to explore the area.

Wonderful place to get away and relax. They have more than enough utensils, pans, etc. to cook with which was a plus because I did not bring any and I cooked all our meals at “home”. Deerskin Rd was pretty quit as far as traffic (average 1 or 2 cars or ATVs a day) so we enjoyed a lot of long walks with the dogs. The guest book was fun to read. We’d certainly stay again.

Walt is a great host and the property has an amazing view. I’m sure it’s great year around but it looked like there was even more available in the summer. Feels like the middle of nowhere but just 15 minutes from town if you need something. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

We’ve stayed here 5 or six times, it’s always great! Our dogs love the big yard. We enjoy the woodstove every time we come. This place is great overall, everything you could need to feel right at home, great food around, nice grocery store in Crandon

We went skiing at Marquette mountain and brule. The cabin was perfectly located between both hills. The cabin was well equipped and warm in the winter. It was nice meeting you and thank you for making us feel welcome.

Perfect place to stay to hit the trails. Screened in porch was a perfect place to hang out at all times of the day. Overall awesome stay!

This place is a cozy slice of Heaven . The cabin was the perfect size for 2. Had all the amenities listed and even more homey touches once we peeked around. We didn’t have kids with us but took full advantage of the board games. A round or 3 of Guess Who during dinner was fun :) Went in February but still enjoyed sitting on the porch with a morning coffee and listening to the pileated woodpeckers and owls do their thing . The one and ONLY negative is that the Lake was not conducive to ice fishing. By the time we figured that out, we joked that the neighboring homes were probably watching us with binoculars through their windows getting a good laugh at our expense, :). We found Thunder lake 4 mins away and did end up catching a few. Incredible weekend but now I have the post vacation blues… Living in the city, one gets accustomed to the sounds of sirens and car alarms. What an incredible reset it was to be submerged in the sounds of nature. HIGHLY recommend!

The Cozy Bear Cabin was perfect for our family’s recent getaway! It is fully stocked with anything you might need- kitchen basics, extra pillows/linens, and games for the kiddos. They thought of everything! It is very cozy with lots of comfy sleeping options- our kids loved the loft. We enjoyed the patio and fire pit out back. The cabin is also close to the convenience store and eating places in Crooked Lake. The Cozy Bear is a great place to stay if you’re headed to the north woods!

John was one of the most friendly, communicative, flexible hosts I've ever experienced. He was thoroughly delightful, conscientious, and helpful. The cabin was charming and cozy.

We had a great stay at this beautiful home! The place was clean, well-decorated, and in a fantastic location so close to ski. The owner was very kind and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. The only downside was an issue with the hot water, which was a bit inconvenient. However, everything else about the stay was wonderful, and we truly appreciated the hospitality.

The place was beautiful, very relaxing . Brody is a great host, no problems at all. The deer watching was the highlight of each morning and evening. We wiill be back again.

Wonderful cabin for a getaway in northern Wisconsin, we really enjoyed our team. Especially the fireplace!

It's a quiet and peaceful spot. Beautiful views from all windows, even the ones facing the driveway. Beautiful bird sounds and creek sounds, very starry sky on a clear night, gorgeous trees, fresh air. Yes, there are insects. But it's a real log cabin in a real forest, by a real creek. We loved the fireplace -- it really warms up the whole house. The kitchen has everything. Everything. Even scotch tape, some tools, lighters, you name it. There are bed sheets, towels, bathroom products. Lots of DVDs. Workout equipment. Blankets. Nearby, there's a fun and affordable soft serve ice cream spot, even a health food store. The floors are very squeaky and the sound really carries from room to room, but with a real log cabin -- it's kind of like complaining about the mosquitos :))) Wife didn't have much luck with the soaking tub -- the overfill drain is still about a foot off the bottom, and it seems that the boiler doesn't provide much more hot water than that, anyways. Overall, all was good!
