Hidden in a quiet corner of our working farm it overlooks a pristine section of the Wilge River, with the famous waterfall and Nelson's Kop mountain providing spectacular scenery. Guests will be able to enjoy absolute peace, uninterrupted views and walks in almost every direction. Please note that the property is remote and the last 200m of the access road will require a high clearance vehicle.

It is situated in a quiet corner of a farm overlooking the Wilge River and the Seven Sisters range of mountains and Nelson's Kop mountain, 9 kms outside the village of Van Reenen. Strawcroft is perfect for those who want to "get away from it all" and sit by a crackling fire or watch the milky way on a clear night.

Elm Tree Garden Cottage

Rose Garden Manor House B+B Sitting in the shade of a 150 year old Elm tree with a view of Platberg Mountain and sleeping in one of Harrismith’s historical landmarks is a treat. Harrismith is the gem of the Free State, the gateway to the Drakensberg. The Rose Garden manor house was built in 1895 and is owned and run by David and Gill Weaver who have maintained the tradition of a classic B+B so you get to experience life with a South African family.

Our price includes a cold breakfast consisting of Muesli, Fruit, Yoghurt, Muffins Rusks, coffee, tea, milk and sugar.
