Family-friendly holiday rentals in Iiyama

I have used it before, and this time the check-in location was different, but there was information about it in advance, and it was very smooth. It was very beautiful and the view was beautiful, and the guide was easy to understand. There were a lot of people staying, but they were very polite and made sure there were enough amenities and dishes. Thanks to you, I had a very pleasant time.

Please provide precautions at the same time as check-in. It was my first time using it, but I was able to use it smoothly without worry. There were also plenty of kitchen tools, cooking utensils, and plates, so I had a fun barbecue with only ingredients. If I have the opportunity, I will use it again.

We had a fantastic time at this Airbnb! The location is perfect for those seeking adventure with family and friends, offering a great balance of nature and comfort. The large room on the second floor was spacious enough to accommodate our group of 10 comfortably. The highlight of our stay was definitely the private onsen—it was absolutely amazing! Being able to enjoy a relaxing soak every day made our trip extra special. The onsen is large enough to fit multiple people, but if you only need a quick shower, you’ll have to take turns using it. The house is heated using a gasoline heater, which worked fine for us, but it’s good to be aware of this in advance. Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy yet adventurous getaway!

Very nice place to stay for one night. About 40m away from Karuizawa, can check in at anytime and quite spacious.

Great location, quick response, but feels like a corporation - they make you feel out other forms, and pay for extra towels. Kind of weird. But, overall absolutely beautiful and a great place

Alex and Rie are kind and considerate hosts and Thunderbird Cottage is a great base for skiing around Hakuba with a family / group. The car with ski rack is a big advantage for getting around to ski resorts and restaurants / shops. The cottage and car together are good value if you are looking for a peaceful environment that’s close to everything you need. Alex and Rie provided very helpful info that assisted our plans in and around Hakuba.

I used it as a base for visiting Matsumoto Craft Fair, but the access to the venue was very good and very convenient.Traveling by car was also smooth, and we enjoyed the event to the fullest. I stayed with two dogs this time, but I had a relaxing time without worrying about the surroundings.Pets are appreciated. The owner was very kind, warm, and a safe stay.The facilities themselves are somewhat old, but they are well-maintained and sufficient as needed.There is no excessive service or up-to-date facilities, but it was a rustic and pleasant space. Please note that the property is a trailer house, it is recommended for those who understand its characteristics and enjoy the outdoor sensation rather than expecting the comfort of a hotel.Soundproofing has the upper boundaries of the structure, but it has more coziness than that. Recommended for visiting events such as craft fairs in the Matsumoto area, or if you want to relax with your dog.

One of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had across many countries and years. Had a group of six of us stay. Patrick coordinated with us to pick us up from the station, offered to drive us to gather groceries, and made time to drop us off when we left. Took time to make sure we were comfortable, understood how to use the homes features, and gave us plenty of information on what to do in the area, even down to giving us updates on mountain weather each morning and making recommendations on which ski field to go to each day based on changing weather conditions. He was invaluable and a super friendly and helpful host. Thanks mate! See you next time!

Had a great couple of days at Nick & Hiro's. The architecture was beautiful and place was pristine, 50m away was a nice bar you could relax at as well. The address was hard to find with apple google maps but Nick was quick to drive to us and assist for check-in. Big ups Nick it was a pleasure.

We really had a great time at kaoru’s place. And host are very friendly. If you looking for a place with real japanese vibe, look no further, this is the best palce. We looking forward to go there again soon!

Completely recommended. Cozy Japanese house, calm neighborhood, and they provide complete facilities, from cooking utensils until 3 bicycles 😱👍🏻👍🏻. Very close to echigo yuzawa station, about 3 minutes walk. easy to find and basically you live in the terminal (and station) but without the crowd fuss, so you can go anywhere around yuzawa with ease (don’t forget to use the bike!) And the hosts are ssuuuupeeerrrrbbb. Swift response and clear massage from check in-out instructions and during your stay to make your stay unforgettably amazing. I love this place. Everything is perfect!! We stayed 2 nights there with 2 kids. Peter & Shiho’s place is wonderful for family stay. Location is good easy to find and getting around. We have cooked dinner at home once. Kitchen equipment and tableware is ready to use (only knife that not so sharp😅) When I shared this place on social media, any of friend asked and would to follow me to stay here. Peter is friendly and quite attentive to support he come to meet us twice. We would like to come back again ❤️

I stayed with 12 colleagues (5 women, 7 men), and it was really nice to have a kitchen, bath, toilet, and washroom on both the first and second floors, and to be able to use them separately for men and women!The house was also spacious and had plenty of room. There is also a dragonfly bath nearby, so I had no trouble with the bath at all!

The ski resort is right in front of you, and there is also a drying room, which is convenient and comfortable, so it will be your second time using it.There was heavy snow this year, but the road to the building was also removed, so I was relieved. Lloyd, the host, was flexible with check-in, checkout, and shopping at the supermarket, which was helpful.The kids love it.

Our stay at Mayuko's place was amazing. The house is autenthic and spacious, on a quiet and beautiful location. The garden is very pretty with a river next to it. It's perfect for walking around. We felt at home. The Nagano prefecture is one of the best and we would be happy to stay again! Mayuko is a very nice host and very responsive. Recommend.

The check in location was different from the actual home to stay in, I was a bit winded from walking up the steep hills to check in location and then when I was dropped off at the location the driver did not tell me what room # we were in, or the 2.5 flight of stairs I needed to climb with all my luggage. The place location is PRIME for snowboarding because the lifts are basically right outside the door, but the check in while dealing with all the luggage up the steep hills and stairs was a small nightmare. So just be prepared for the hills.

Amazing view and atmosphere. The udon experience was also excellent. Perfect for those looking for a traditional and authentic Japanese living experience. However, make sure you have a car for access.

Clean, comfortable and neat house. Amenities were perfect for a relaxing stay after a tiring trip. The house is a 10 to 20 minute walk to the nightlife area in Takasaki, with lots to do, and it is very busy on a weekend night. The house is also far enough away from the station that the neighborhood is nice and quiet.
