We had a wonderful stay at Paula's casa! The house was not only clean and cosy but also incredibly well thought out – probably the most thoughtfully designed place we've ever stayed in. Every detail was taken care of, from the fully stocked kitchen and laundry facilities to the well-equipped bathroom and cleaning supplies. It truly felt like a home away from home, with everything we could possibly need right at our fingertips. Enjoying mornings on the balcony was the perfect extra touch – so peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely be returning! Paula was also very responsive to our messages and a delight to communicate with throughout. Thank you so much for such a fantastic stay! xxx

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt auf dem Floating Àlvaro sehr genossen. Besonders gefallen haben uns die Ruhe und die wunderschöne Natur rundherum, ein perfekter Ort zum Abschalten. Der Gastgeber und seine Frau waren jederzeit sehr hilfsbereit und herzlich. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Jetzt im Frühling war es angenehm ruhig, nur ein paar einzelne Fischer waren unterwegs. Im Sommer wird es durch Badegäste und Barbesucher sicher etwas lebhafter, aber das gehört ja auch zur Ferienatmosphäre dazu. Ein wirklich besonderer Ort, wir kommen gerne wieder!

A Ana é óptima anfitriã, e a casa é super funcional e decorada com bom gosto. É uma excelente opção de alojamento para quem quiser conhecer a Beira Baixa e as suas pitorescas aldeias vizinhas. Vamos definitivamente regressar.

O espaço está simplesmente incrível, super acolhedor, perfeitamente bem inserido na beleza da vila e o terraço é excelente para poder apreciar a magnifica vista da vila e arredores.

Antonio is super responsive and made it easy to find the location. The room is just as displayed. Shower is small, but everything works well. Has an A/C for cold/heat too, which was great as it was a cold night when we were there. Definitely recommend. Tight streets, but nice to have parking up by the room. You could also park at the lesser-known bottom gate and walk up, very close to the room as well. If you have a small car then you could drive from that small gate. Didn't find great restaurants in Monsanto, but Antonio suggested another one, so we walked the 15 minutes to the town beneath that had a place called O Carlos that had good food and was open until 10pm. Castle ruins are great. Monsanto town is like a story book. Amazing sunsets.

Phantastic house with a beautiful huge garden, lake view and direct access to the lake. The house is a traditional stone house but the interior is very tasteful and modern. The house itself is great but the outside is even better. A large garden with different areas and absolutely beautiful trees and plants. You can see and feel that João and his family have put a lot of love into the house and the garden and thought of every detail. Bi Strong recommendation if you want to stay in a lovely house that is spacious but also very private. João is a very attentive host and very friendly. We were greeted with a warm smile, self made Olive oil and freshly picked lemons from the garden. If possible I would rate with more than 5 stars. 🙂🤩

From the moment we arrived, we knew we’d found something truly special. ❤️❤️ The listing looked like paradise—but in person, it’s even more breathtaking. Every corner of Florbela’s property radiates peace, beauty, and care. And Florbela herself? An absolute gem. Since the very single morning freshly bread and local pastries delivered, to all the things she left in the house, we never had to go to any supermarket. And if you need any veggies, there’s a garden where you can go and pick up fresh veggies and herbs. If you are looking to disconnect and create memories for a lifetime, this is your place. Florbela made us feel like family, and her hospitality turned a beautiful stay into an unforgettable experience. We left not just relaxed, but with a new friend.
