Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. The house is located in beautiful, quiet natural surroundings down to Esrum River. From the house, there is a view of the garden, river and fields. Next to the house is the main house where there may sometimes be someone. The house is nice with a nice kitchen and bathroom and everything a house should have. 10 min walk from beautiful sandy beach. The house has, in addition to a large double bed for 2 people, a 140 cm box mattress on the loft. There is free access to kayaks, SUP, fire pit, bicycles and fishing rods. New WILDERNESS BATH and ICE BATH are available for a fee.

The sofa can also be converted to 2 sleeping places if there is a need for 6 overnight guests. From two lovely wooden terraces and the large grounds, the sun can be enjoyed from early morning to late night.

The cottage overlooks the fields, is isolated, has electricity, heating, a kitchenette and a comfortable sofa that turns into a small double bed. Enjoy the two terraces and running water in the treetop and toilet with sink below the cabin. But since it is private and there is no big parking lot you'll mostly have the beach to yourself!
