The Old Dairy, Peak District Hide-Away

AlexanderRating, 5 stars2 days ago
A excellent farm house style stay! We had a wonderful time at the Old Dairy. The house itself is comfortable and homely right off the bat. We recieved a warm welcome and a number of recommendations for local pubs and walks, the pub down the road (The Manifold) does an excellent breakfast if you're looking!

Robin’s Stable- Paddock Cottages

LukeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Absolutely gorgeous little cottage in a great location to explore the Peak District! We met the hosts mother upon check in and had a lovely chat which made us feel right at home. We loved the farmland nearby and the sounds of the animals outside as well as the lovely garden area where you can relax in the sun. Oh and the views are to die for! The WiFi was perfect and the TV was great to watch movies on during those rainy days, there was also lots of leaflets to help plan your trips around the Peak District. Worth noting, albeit this is in the process of being resolved from our understanding, if you are a light sleeper it may be worth baring in mind you can hear upstairs guests. It wasn’t an issue for us at all, but worth mentioning, however this didn’t affect our stay at all! Overall, we had a fantastic week here and would come back in a heartbeat, thank you so much Naomi for a wonderful stay!

Flutterby Cottage, Peak District, Private Parking

EllieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Cannot express what a lovely time my partner and I had in the Peak District. Flutterby Cottage was just such a beautiful, quaint stay. The place was immaculate on arrival, it had everything you needed. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful stay then this is the one for you. Susan was also an incredible host, very very welcoming and extremely understanding. She was so helpful to us and it really meant a lot. Thank you again Susan, we will be staying here again on our next visit to the Peak District whenever that may be, we can’t recommend it enough! :)

Raikes Barn, Hartington

PaulRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Absolutely loved our stay at Raikes Barn, such a beautiful setting with wonderful views. The cottage itself was very comfortable and just to our taste, we loved the whole open plan space downstairs, it felt really homely, the sort of place we could happily live in. Phil the farm manager lives in the ajoining cottage, he was very friendly and informative, and his working dog Pip was adoreable. If you like walking, Raikes Barn is really well situated, with so many marked routes in glorious countryside, really close by. Would we stay again? Absolutely yes!

Cawlow Barns -Beautiful, spacious, family friendly

KatieRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had a great family celebration for my 50th birthday. The cottage was well equipped and in the end having the two seperate properties was not an issue. We based ourselves in the West. We especially appreciated all the kids toys.Toy boxes inside and the ride on tractors etc and swings outside. There is also a big lawn for games. We also used the BBQ one night as we got soooo lucky with the weather. Again the barns had all the utensils we needed and there is plenty of outdoor furniture. There was only one slight issue and that was the road. Due to the weather and various other things we based ourselves at the barns rather than heading off to see local sights so perhaps we noticed it more than others would and because of the weather we were outside all weekend. Inside the barns the road was not an issue at all but outside the road is really close to the garden and there were loads and loads of motorbikes going past all the time. Overall though it was really great. Thank you!

Stunning views of the Peaks, Hartington for 4

JoannaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved every day of our stay at Dora’s cottage and Jaqueline has been a very friendly and responsive host throughout our holiday. The cottage feels like home the moment you step in. We cherished so many lovely touches from our host: from electric blankets in our bedroom that made the beds super cozy; hot water bottles and soft blankets; lovely crisp bedlinen; a generous supply of towels for the whole family to delicious locally made biscuits that awaited us on arrival. The views from the cottage are stunning, we arrived at the time of blossom which made it pretty special. We loved sitting in the conservatory and enjoying lazy mornings with a cup of coffee. The cottage provided a brilliant base for local hiking as well as short drives to local towns such as Buxton and Leek. We would love to come back.

Idyllic cottage retreat

OlgaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We enjoyed our stay at Steppes Cottage very much. It is a beautiful cottage set in lovely surroundings, wonderfully peaceful and clearly put together with great love and attention. The bed was very comfortable with luxury bedding. The shower was excellent, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, all of very good quality and with thoughtful touches throughout. The front garden is amazing, filled with beautiful plants. Communication with Jaz was very nice and easy. It was a lovely surprise to find fresh bread, butter, wine and chocolates on our arrival, which was much appreciated. We also loved having a charming pub just a two minute walk away. It is a truly beautiful part of England. We would definitely recommend Steppes Cottage and will certainly return.
