The space
Guesthouse is the complex building of 60 years old part and new part expanded in 2014 when we opened. We have many types of rooms in one guesthouse, such as simple dorm beds and traditional Japanese style rooms shared bath for low budget travelers, as well as well-equipped and relaxing rooms for families and so on.
We have a cozy Japanese style dining area and terrace lounge, both facing to the traditional style garden that can enjoy the seasonal flowers all year. We also have well designed and good equipped guest kitchen, common shower rooms, toilet and laundry terrace.

We are located in Higashiyama, one of the best preserved historic districts in the city. The guesthouse is in a quiet and peaceful area along the lower slope to the eastern mountains, good environment with university, museums and luxus hotels nearby. Easy access from/to Kyoto station and city center (bus all day), and some of the main scenic areas in walking distance.

We are working in tourism industry since 2003, started running an accommodation when we were still in China, the hostel called "Sim's Cozy Guesthouse" and loved by many travelers.
