Cabin holiday rentals in Hornby Island

Tesja's cottage was the perfect, peaceful getaway we were hoping for our mini honeymoon. The cottage was immaculately clean, and had everything we needed: a BBQ, private hot tub and the add-on firepit was a nice addition to our stay. Her homemade and curated breakfast selections that awaited us was the cherry on top. Surrounded by nature, birds, and occasional deer, Tesja's cottage gave us a chance to unplug, relax and enjoy everything Salt Spring had to offer: nature, and a short drive away from the Ganges. Communication before and during our stay was great. We wouldn't hesitate to return in the future when in need of peaceful staycation.

Beautiful location. Lee was flexible when we needed to check in later than planned. She gave us a helpful walk-through of where to find things to do on the property, such as the firepit, yard, hot tub, etc., and how to get to the beach. Very responsive and a comfortable place.

We had the pleasure of staying here and it was so worth it! We arrived at a squeaky clean cabin with amazing views. We had a great time paddle boarding, bbqing and relaxing in the hot tub. The previous guest broke the washer dryer so Ashley was kind enough to do our laundry for us. She's very responsive and very kind and we can't wait to come back and stay there again!

This was a fabulous rental, it was perfect in every way. Every step of this booking was just a great experience, the host was so friendly and fun to chat with and thought of everything a traveller might need. All of the instructions were clear and well thought out, everything was as expected if not better, the place was spotlessly clean and everything was provided for. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, I hope we will get a chance to enjoy your hospitality again, it made for such an enjoyable trip! Thank you so much!

The cottage was great for our family of 5! Equipped with beach towels, toys, and even a mini cooler - this makes beach going easy. Everyone enjoyed the pool and the beds and sofa beds were all comfy! Thanks so much for a great stay!

A fantastic cabin in a beautiful, peaceful setting, with great hosts. The cabin has a stunning modern interior with unique and thoughtful touches everywhere you look. The surrounding property and forest are welcoming and serene. The ocean view from both the cabin and hot tub is wonderful. The hosts were responsive, helpful, and effective communicators. Check in was simple and straightforward. I would highly recommend a stay at the cabin for a peaceful getaway.

My stay was absolutely wonderful! The place exceeded all our expectations - everything was exactly as described, and in many ways, even better. The house was spotless, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. You can truly feel the care the hosts put into every detail to make guests feel at home. The hosts were incredibly friendly, flexible, and welcoming. They were always easy to reach, happy to answer questions, and made sure we felt comfortable from the very first moment. And the most magical part - deer roam freely around the property! You can literally watch them just a few steps away, grazing and wandering peacefully. Observing them up close was such a unique and calming experience. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable, and truly special place to stay - this is it. Highly recommended! 🌿🦌

Wandas place was a haven for those just looking for a break from the city. Close to great restaurants like crow & gate and Mahle. Close to relaxing easy but scenic trails. Parks. Farmers market on sundays (maybe weekends) Big and really quiet space.

Wonderfully secluded getaway in tranquil natural surroundings. Just enough amenities to take care of all needs, with a friendly and helpful host. A comfortable bed and the sounds of the river nearby make for excellent sleep.

Raquel’s place is top notch - everything is exactly as described or better. Have rarely stayed at a better stocked Airbnb in terms of kitchen appliances, essentials, etc. The location is perfect for exploring Gibsons (5 min drive from everything). The farm itself is an amazing, peaceful slice of paradise, and last but not least, Raquel is an awesome host, sharing her deep local and farm knowledge and making sure you have a great stay on the Coast!

Had a great stay! Beautiful property for a peaceful island getaway. Everything was as advertised. Early check-in was appreciated. The property is very dog friendly with it being fully fenced with a grassy area and sun deck. Carol was very responsive to any questions we had and the local food recommendations were much appreciated.

It was such a lovely stay at Keitha’s cabin. It is located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood close enough by the ocean. The cabin was charming with all the amenities you need for a get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cabin is on her gorgeous property with access to a fire pit and yard space. We had a lovely stay here and would love return! Keitha was very responsive and kind and has two beautiful dogs who sometimes greeted us with wagging tails by the fence. It was wonderful! I loved my stay. The cabin is a work of art. It feels handmade in the best possible way. Breathtaking surroundings too. And Coralie and Ben were generous and friendly. A few things I particularly appreciated. Great coffee machine including milk frother. Sharp knives. Lush mountain hikes right on the doorstep. The ocean view framed by snow topped mountains is stunning, you can see it from the bed when you wake up. There’s a beautiful and well stocked log store, and three different kinds of fire to choose from. I also had a hummingbird hanging out in the garden a few times. The bed is incredibly comfortable. I could go on. It’s a glorious place to go and be in nature.

Amazing location, beautiful home and a great host. Would definitely stay again when on the island. Being on the lake was so nice to be able to swim and fish by just stepping out the back door.

What an outstanding home and location, with Jason and his family ensuring we felt right at home. There was such attention to detail which made our stay comfortable and throughly enjoyable. The house worked well with a baby and beds were extremely comfortable. That’s saying a lot for a sofa bed! The digital information prior to arrival made the stay very easy. The location could not be more perfect, with views out across the water, and surrounded by ferns and woods. A magical Airbnb stay!

Daniel’s place is a great place to stay, very quiet but near a main road to visit the many nearby attractions. Easy to get to Cathedral Grove and the coast with fantastic beaches at Parksville and Rathtrevor. The cabin had great amenities to cook if you wanted to. The bathroom had a good shower and the bed was comfortable. We saw rabbits and even a deer in the garden. I would highly recommend Daniel’s place.

Always a pleasure to stay here! We will return again! Lynette is helpful, responsive and considerate of requests. Enjoyed the intentional spaces created for relaxation with a view. Local restaurants, shops and cafes are so fun, and we enjoyed the local farmers markets in surrounding communities - we have several places we return to each time we stay. Opportunities and availability for SUP, kyaking and e-bikes are a very nice perk.

Gorgeous cabin on a stunning lake that was wonderful to swim in even in October! The cabin was very comfortable, extremely well equipped and modern. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Kim’s place on the beach was exactly what the doctor ordered, quiet, peaceful and private, well appointed with a pile of extras that were beyond expectations but deeply appreciated. Beds were comfy and the place was impeccably clean on arrival. The deck had an awesome view of the ocean and there was abundant wildlife present, we had an excellent stay, the only complaint was that we didn’t book for longer… will definitely book a stay again, feeling like this might be the new favorite spot….

This cabin is an absolute paradise! Nestled among tall trees with stunning ocean views, it’s the perfect escape into nature. The home is filled with charm and character — every detail has been thoughtfully chosen, from the cozy decor to the amazing collection of books. You can really feel the care and love Patricia put into this place. It’s more than just a stay — it’s an experience. A must-visit if you want to truly slow down and feel the beauty of life.

My stay at the Boathouse was excellent. I enjoyed the private location on the beach with beautiful views of Heriot Bay and watching the tide roll in. The cabin was clean and well stocked - everything I needed to cook a delicious meal and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning (with different brewing options). Definitely recommend for a quiet weekend getaway solo or as a couple. Thank you!
