We had a great 3 day stay at Sveinns place in Akureyri and used it as a base camp for daytrips in the area/region. We were 3 adults and found the place spacious and clean with comfortable beds and large bathroom. Large kitchen with all the things we needed for our stay. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood 5-8 min driving from downtown Akureyri. There are grocery stores not so far from the house. We can strongly recommend this place.

Beautiful location. Near a ski resort and close to the heart of downtown. Home was very cozy for our family of five and everyone had their own beds. Very peaceful area. A short 5 minute drive to downtown and grocery. Host was very responsive and friendly. Would stay here again.

Our first Air BnB thatcame with smiles and handshakes! Helga and her husband are not only great hosts but great people as well. The communication back and forth was quick and easy. Any question we we got an answer instantly... and follow her directions not google! The farm is on one of the most beautiful pieces of land with the most outstanding views, yet a very short to town, grocery store, etc. The space had everything we needed, including a very spacious shower with hot water for days! The bed was very comfy but our favorite room was the living area with all the awesome views. My husband and I now have a joke that Helga turned on the Northern Lights for us... after 8 nights in Iceland with no lights we were able to experience this phenomenon right out the front door. Thanks Helga! Don’t hesitate to book when staying in Akureyri, we hope to be back again one day!

Helgi has a wonderful cozy cabin. It is spacious has a well equipped kitchen, a nice living room and the beds were very good. The location is also very nice, just a few minutes to Akureyi which is a lovely place with good restaurants and a perfect location to explore this part of Iceland. It’s exactly as you can see on the pictures and description. Helgi is an excellent host. Communication went very smoothly and she gave clear instructions how to get to the cabin. I can highly recommend!

Super logement en face du fjord dans lequel vous pourrez admirer des baleines du matin au soir . Ancienne usine de poisson en contrebas abandonnée autour de laquelle vous pourrez balader pour longer le fjord à pieds. Certainement le plus beau logement depuis que je suis sur Airbnb.

Wir haben uns hier sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll eingerichtet, alles was wir benötigten war vorhanden. Auch haben wir sehr gut geschlafen, da die Schlafräume relativ dunkel waren. Die Kommunikation war einwandfrei, der Check in hat reibungslos funktioniert. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit, hier würden wir wieder buchen.

Our stay in Öxnadalur was one of the most impressive we’ve ever had. The house was charming and we felt immediately at home. The surrounding nature and view on the mountains is breathtaking! We spent hours sipping coffee at the fire place, while the wind and snow were howling outside or watching beautiful northern lights right in front of the door. Sif and Oli were always very helpful when we were asking for any help or recommendations. It is definitely worth a visit and a real adventure in winter times.
