Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Hopkins

Karen’s place exceeded our expectations. We do not like to travel to areas that are packed with tourists. Staying at Sittee Point was perfect- the village of Hopkins had everything we needed and the vibe was so peaceful. The home and beach area were perfect for our family’s needs. We had access to everything we needed for a wonderful week in Belize. Karen was very responsive to our questions, the caretaker Brian was very helpful as well, and the boat captain Steven was a treasure. If/when we find ourselves planning a trip to Belize again, we will definitely want to stay at Karen’s place.

This is a perfect location. Close to local restaurants and accessible to a lot of things to do. Outstanding views and sits right on the beach. Perfect place to watch the beautiful sun rises. We had three couples and this location was an excellent fit. Herbert was an excellent host and had plenty of great recommendations.

The house was more than just a comfortable, beautiful place to stay. It was art. For all of the senses. Martin really knows how to bring out the serenity and aesthetics from the textures used throughout to the local art displayed everywhere to the cultural pieces to the resources used to the local fruit offerings. Service was exceptional. Dogs were a complete joy. We will hopefully be back one day!

Mirko was an extremely helpful host! The place is beautiful and walkable to the start of all of our Sittee River adventures (bioluminescence tour and snorkeling) Having bikes was great to bike into “downtown” Hopkins from the house

We loved the quiet and privacy in f this place. If you like birding, the wetlands viewable from the upper patio were amazing. The views to the west allow for daily sunset gazing. It is a little far from he town center of Hopkins, so if you plan on spending a lot of time there, it’s best to have a rental car or bikes. We rented bikes from a dive shop and it made the difference in the trip, otherwise we would have stayed put more. The A/c is a god send, esp if not acclimated to the heat and humidity. Plenty of towels and clean water are available. Good restaurants nearby, but this section of town is the newer hotel section and prices are much higher here. Overall, we loved it here.

We had a wonderful stay at Beth’s home! The location was perfect- a quick golf cart ride into town with plenty options for shopping, restaurants, and groceries. We loved fishing off the dock right behind the house. The dock was also fantastic because two of our excursions picked us up right from our home! The pool was key! Our kids loved it. And we didn’t feel guilty staying home and relaxing and soaking up the sun by the pool with a rum drink and some good music. Or reading a book outside on the couches enjoying the nice breeze. The house was stocked with most everything we needed. The sunsets from the top deck are glorious. The coffee bar a few steps away was super convenient. And also, steps away, the spa experience was amazing- best massage we’ve had since Thailand- so we went twice during our visit! Johan and Beth were incredibly responsive to my many questions! We would definitely stay here again!

Shallow Bay was beautiful, so cute, and very clean. The kitchen has everything you need. The covered deck is very large and we loved having coffee in the morning and nightcap in evening out there. It is super quiet and peaceful along with well landscaped and maintained lot. Jeannette the local contact person is extremely helpful with restaurant suggestions and tours. I would definitely come back and recommend staying here.

This Airbnb stay was truly amazing! Thanks to Marlon and his wife, Ema. The place is very clean, and has a great ambiance. It’s very comfortable and we felt safe. It’s decorated with local art that highlights Garifuna/Belizean culture. On my birthday Marlon and Ema gifted me a lovely artisanal tote and fan. We wanted to make a traditional Garifuna dish and they sent up the tools we needed to make it. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed- pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, stove, refrigerator/freezer, water dispenser/cooler, coffee pot, coffee, tea, honey etc. It also has a washer and dryer. There’s a cafe located next door and we were also able to drive and bike less than 3 mins into the heart of town for nightlife, the beach, groceries and local restaurants. This Airbnb felt like home. It’s a gem and a rare find. Marlon and Ema care about providing a quality experience for their guests. My family and I will definitely be returning on our next trip to Belize.

Therese is an excellent host and quickly responds to texts. I got to know her a little and meet some of her friends. The apartment was within walking distance to everything so I never rented a golf cart. Next time though I will to check out Maya Beach area!!

It’s a very comfortable little place to stay. Close to everything but far enough away from the centre of town that it is still quiet at night.

We had an amazing time in Placencia at The White Turtle! The location is absolutely perfect! The caretakers Reuben, Rufina and their son Gilbert made our trip so special! Rufina kept the house absolutely spotless and checked in with us to ensure we had everything we needed. Reuben set up our tours and we had the most amazing time snorkeling, fishing and visiting waterfalls. Reuben knows his stuff! I highly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed.

We loved our stay and will ONLY stay here whenever we visit Placencia. The apartment seems newly renovated. Everything is in pristine condition. The water gets really hot. The balcony is large. You can reach the beach and restaurants in under 2 minutes walking. You can reach the grocery store and bank in about 7 minutes walking. The host went out of his way to ensure my daughter and I had everything we needed. Days after checking out, we saw the host outside while we were searching for a location and the host saw us, checked on us, and went out of his way to help us. Not only is he a great host, he's a great person!

2nd stay with Rodney! Easy and centrally located. Will stay here again!

This was the 2nd time my husband stayed here for a week while he was in Placencia for business. He enjoyed it so much, we will definitely be staying here again on any future trips to Placencia.

We absolutely loved our stay in Placencia! The location is unbeatable—right on the beach with stunning sunrise views every morning. It’s just a short walk to restaurants, shops, and the heart of town, so everything you need is close by. The place itself was spotless and well maintained. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a full kitchen, cozy living room, super comfortable beds, and a balcony perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Make sure you read the guidebook for great recommendations. There’s no shortage of things to do—snorkeling, diving, and a Monkey River tour are just a few of the highlights. Can’t recommend this place enough for a relaxing and adventure-filled getaway!

We were two couples who stayed in Michelle’s condo fairly last minute when our accommodations were cancelled. Check in was smooth with Jack”s assistance and condo was great. Perfect space for the 4 of us . Edwin and his family were lovely and always ready to take us on the boat ride across the canal for the short walk/bike ride to town. Edwin and Jack were both very responsive and always willing to help arrange cabs/excursions. Would definitely stay again.

This villa was in a great location, in the center of the peninsula, making everything equally accessible. The space was very clean and the AC worked great! We really enjoyed the pool in the evenings and the view of the sea while swimming. The restaurant across the road has a perfect view of the sunset. The sunrise view from the balcony of the villa was so wonderful! We extended our stay because we enjoyed the villa so much.

We visited Placencia during Tropical Storm Sara (Nov 2024). As we have never been in a tropical storm (snow blizzards are what we are used to), it was a panic when traveling into one with our 2 children. All we ever want is for them to be safe. Tracy was kind to let us check in a couple hours earlier for peace of mind. Thankfully - the storm hit north of us and the weather improved through out our stay. We love the location - watching and listening to the waves facing the Caribbean, and then having the lagoon on the other side. My kids swam every day in the pool, even when it was pouring rain. Rosa, the caretaker, was extremely friendly and helpful. We would 100% stay here again next time we visit. The use of the kayaks was a great perk. We didn’t use the bikes.

Wonderful location, off the beaten path but easy to get to everything. You will want a golf cart. Edwin and his family are lovely.

My family of six (ages 52, 44, 42, 20, 15, 13) enjoyed our stay at the Villas of Cocoplum. The grounds were beautiful, very well cared for. The dock was great since it offered shade and sun. My son loved fishing off of it. We even got picked up at the dock when we were having boat days. It was so convenient. The two condos on the top floor had a great view and were comfortable. A/C worked really well! Anytime I had a question or needed help, the staff would respond within minutes. They were so kind and helpful! My only suggestion is to add some additional plates, coffee cups and kitchen utensils - but not really a big deal at all. Great place to stay, definitely felt like a good deal for the money spent.

I had an amazing 10 star experience here - the condo had everything I needed for a very comfortable month-long stay. I felt right at home and very safe. SA, the owner, was very proactive with communication and provided so much helpful info (how to get fresh juice and local meat delivered, which days to visit the produce stands, duty free at the airport, etc). Emma and Edwin, the caretakers, are so friendly and are always available to help. Beyond spending your days on the beach, you can book numerous tours to keep you occupied (scuba, snorkel, cave tubing, Mayan ruins, ziplining, etc). I spent a lot of time just chillin' on the beautiful porch watching the gorgeous sunsets with a Belikin in-hand. If you rent a golf cart or bike, you can easily be in the heart of the town in 5-7 minutes with access to wonderful restaurants, markets and shops. I can't wait to come back when SA is also in town because she'd be a very cool person to hang out with!

So happy we found this place! The location was perfect for us. We walked to town for groceries, dining, gifts and visited the many beaches along the main beach sidewalk. We cooked most days, but the days we would dine out, the food was amazing. Edwin, the property caretaker, was extremely helpful with recommendations and was always available to take us across the canal. He goes out of his way to help us. One day our rental car battery died and Edwin helped us get ahold of the rental company to pick us up because our phones could not make calls in Belize. We were able to use a chat thru whats app to communicate. I hope to come back! What an amazing vacation. Only feedback would be to add a pillow top on the master bedroom king bed. Thank you so much for a great experience.
