Woubrugge Logies - Private Chalet in The Green Heart

This cosy, private chalet is perfectly located in The Green Heart of The Netherlands. By car only half an hour or less from Leiden, Amsterdam, Haarlem, The Hague, Delft, Gouda or the beaches. Woubrugge itself is a lovely small town along a characteristic canal that ends up in lake Braassemermeer. Sail, surf, swim, rent a motorboat, explore the beautiful surroundings by biking or hiking or relax in the garden. The chalet is a studio (40m2); comfortable for 2 persons. As the sofa bed can be transformed to a double bed the chalet is also suitable for young families or a group of friends. The chalet has one room (studio: 40m2) with a private bathroom. There is a double bed (size 210 x 160 cm) and a sofabed (size 200 x 140 cm). In the studio you will find a tv, a table with 4 chairs and a completely equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, toaster and a coffee-machine (coffee, tea and Dutch cookies (stroopwafels) are included in the price). A microwave for the guests is in the barn, next to the chalet. In this barn guests may park also their (rental) bikes or a pram. There is enough space for 4 persons, but do realize that you share the same room. The chalet is facing South, so you can enjoy the sun all day. And if you prefer to sit in the shade, you can sit under the large parasol. You will also find a cosy veranda to relax on and a lawn with fruit trees. Guests may use the chairs in front of the house on the riverside quay where you can sit, relax, have a drink and enjoy the spectacle of boats passing by. The chalet offers complete privacy. However, if you have any question or special wishes, we are most of the time in the neighbourhood or we can be reached by telephone. We love to help our guests and have a chat with them, if they like. Woubrugge is a small town half an hour or less from Leiden, Amsterdam, The Hague, and beaches. Follow the canal to The Braassemermeer, a lake which offers sailing, canoeing, and swimming. Bike, hike, and rent a motorboat to explore further afield. If you come by car: there are enough public parkingplaces near to the chalet. (for free). Public transport: Woubrugge can easily be reached by bus from Leiden Central Station. But also from Amsterdam / Schiphol Airport there is a good connection by train/speedbus. Woubrugge is part of several beautiful hiking and biking routes, so for hikers and bikers Woubrugge is a perfect place for a stay over night or for a longer period. - Smoking is not allowed in the chalet! There are games and on request we can prepare boxes with various toys for children aged 2-12. On the riverside quay you find a fine bakery. Apart from buying fresh bread and rolls there, you can have a coffee and pastries on the terrace overlooking the canal. If you don't feel like cooking yourself, you can have a delicious lunch or dinner at restaurant Disgenoten. Also this restaurant has a beautiful terrace on the waterside.

You will find us between Amsterdam (approx. 30 minutes, car), Schiphol (approx. 20 minutes, car and 30 minutes, bus) and The Hague (approx. 35 minutes, car) in the Groene Hart. Many possibilities for cycling, walking (located on the Marskramerpad), varen, cities and/or beaches (25 minutes) to visit. Recently renovated comfortable house (64m2) at the water in the green heart of Holland, surrounded by windmills and cows right across the canal. Close to the main cities and the Kaag lakes: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Delft, Zandvoort, Keukenhof 30, Schiphol-airport 15, Leiden 10 mins by car. During winter the house is also warm and cosy with floor heating. 4 canoes are available for you. Boats can be rented in the area, rental bikes delivered to the house. Free parking. Not suitable for non-swimmers.

Dit mooie, compleet ingerichte huis in boederijstijl, ligt aan de Kagerplassen in de buurt van Amsterdam en Leiden. Het heeft twee slaapkamers, een badkamer met een toilet en nog een apart toilet. Vanuit de woonkamer kun je genieten van de prachtige zonsondergangen. In de omgeving kun je wandelingen maken langs weilanden en molens. Het heeft een eigen aanlegsteiger. A very nice and quiet accommodation that exactly matches the description. Richard and Deborah were very nice, helpful and gave us very good tips. The communal kitchen is beautifully designed and offers a good opportunity for cooking. Good transport links to Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam. We would love to come back and can only recommend staying with Richard and Deborah :).

We really enjoyed staying with Robbert! The houseboat exceeded our expectations, it was very modern and nicely decorated and perfectly equipped for an extended weekend. The check-in and check-out was super organized and above all we liked the easy communication. In addition, during our stay, the owner came by to check on things in strong winds and rain. We would love to come back soon!!

We (two adults and two 17-year-olds) spent four wonderful days on the Blauw houseboat. The boat has a fascinating history - it has been on the North and Baltic Seas, across the Atlantic - and is now quietly and idyllically anchored in the small harbor of Warmond. The view of the waterway and the opposite polder area is fantastic, open, wide, unspoiled. The environment is very quiet, relaxing, and restful. Quiet, slow boats pass by during the day. In the morning, from the late afternoon onwards, you are on your own. All you can hear is nature - trees, grasses, birds, frogs. Quiet for sleeping at night. The boat is tasteful, furnished with great attention to detail. It is in excellent, beautifully renovated condition, with many original items, so that we landlubbers felt like sailors. In the evening, it was very relaxed and atmospheric on deck in the lounge furniture with subtle lighting. A special holiday experience, we would have liked to stay longer!

great place and great location. FYI steep flight of stairs which would be very difficult for people with injuries/disabilities/etc. cool space with clearly a lot of thought/intention put into the design and renovation of the space. it's very cool but not really cozy. very comfortable bed, slept great, but be aware the street outside has cars/bikes/motorcycles passing which could disrupt sensitive sleepers. remote workers: - internet worked well enough for two people to have video meetings simultaneously however because of loft style set up there's noise spillage from one room to the next - only one desk and it's more decorative vs somewhere to comfortably work from
