Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Holmfirth

We very much enjoyed our stay at this quaint little cottage. It was very clean, well equipped and true to the photos on Airbnb. Ben was very prompt when we had a small issue and very quickly sorted the issue. Lots of lovely walks nearby and easy access to the Peak District. We found a lovely restaurant a 15 minute walk away called Finlay’s - cannot recommend enough. Convenience store literally 2 mins away and Holmfirth a short drive or within walking distance.

An amazing use of space to create a lovely home from home. The place was immaculate and I couldn’t fault Kaaren on communication. Although the road outside is busy I didn’t hear at all once inside and had a lovely restful night recharging between exploring the local areas of Holmfirth and Penistone.

Lovely place - we were just on a flying visit but would have happily stayed longer! Great communication, and a nice surprise to find fresh milk in the fridge so we could enjoy a cuppa with a fabulous view when we arrived - thank you !

Lovely little cottage right in the middle of Holmfirth. It's a stones throw from Cooper's Yard, a great food and beer hall, as well as dozens of other restaurants, cafes and bars, but far enough away from the main road you won't notice the noise. Just be prepared to stumble up the steep hill back to the cottage if you've had a few drinks down in the centre! Very easy to get out of Holmfirth either on walking routes or car (we did walks from the Coop down the road before checking in and also drove to the Peak District from the cottage, ~45m drive on a quietish day).

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage; fabulous location within easy walking distance of all local attractions. Well equipped and very cosy it exceeded expectations! Beds were so comfy too.

Perfectly located within easy reach of all shops/restaurants - We have a BMW X5 it was difficult getting parked behind the house but we had been told this by the host that car access was narrow and was able to park in the car parks no problem Loved having the lounge on the top floor with gorgeous views over the valley Will definitely return the house was beautiful with plenty of room for 2 couples…

Phil was a great host - meeting us when we got there to pass the key over. Had a good chat about the history of the conversion - could tell he was very proud of it, as he should be. Great communication - even helping us out with local taxi info. The place was perfect for us and we really enjoyed the time we spent there - it has a lovely homely feel and very relaxing. Everything you need and very clean. Couldn’t ask for more - only more time to stay there.

A beautiful cottage in a lovely Yorkshire town. Great to walk out the door and be on the hills in minutes. Close to restaurants and cafes. Can highly recommend the Bengal Spice

What a beautiful place. Simon the host was always in touch before our stay to answer any questions we had and also throughout our stay making sure everything was ok. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation is amazing and the setting absolutely beautiful. The accommodation provides everything you would need for a very comfortable stay. The property is private and quiet yet transport links are on the doorstep. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone. It was just perfect for us.

We had a great week in this flat and would definitely return , Pubs & restaurants on your doorstep and a great balcony to sit out on and watch the world go by. Also Nick our host is a nice guy .

We absolutely loved staying here! The beds were so comfortable. The whole Airbnb was so tidy, clean and cozy. We genuinely felt like we were at home it was so lovely. Abbey was amazing, we arrived early as we travelled from 6 hours away and Abbey took our luggage and bags in for us so we could set off to manchester town centre for a festival. She was so helpful and friendly, gave us recommendations for taxis etc. The price was amazing, she could charge a lot more for this accommodation. Thank you so much Abbey we had the best time and will never forget the experience or help you gave us!

Mike's place was perfect for our 3 night trip to the Colne Valley. The farm shop just across the road and pub a short walk away were very handy. The place was very clean and had everything we needed, and we felt really comfortable as soon as we walked through the front door. Would lo e to come back and explore the area more.

From booking to leaving Joanne was extremely helpful. Really clean and comfortable. A real bonus for us was the easy access to many walks and the peaceful setting.

Sally was a great host who helped me out at very short notice when I realised I’d booked the wrong night to start my stay!So a massive thank you Sally. The accommodation itself is spotlessly clean, and has every amenity you could wish for - Sally really has thought of everything. The perfect place to stay when visiting Leeds but wishing to stay somewhere away from the hustle and bustle - and so much nicer than a hotel room.

a lovely place to stay, perfect for 1 person (though would fit two people). the host very kindly messaged prior to mention they supplied milk, butter + bread, noticed I was vegan and provided alternatives! there was tea + coffee provided, plus lots of seasonings and condiments in the cupboards should you need. comfortable bed, clean + tidy space and perfect for a 3 day trip. would definitely recommend :)

Great location quiet, easy to get to. We stopped just 1 night so didn’t use anything in the kitchen but it had all you would need. Plenty big enough for 2 people with really comfy bed and large bathroom with walk in shower . Would definitely stay there again

Myself, my husband, our baby and mother in law all stayed here for a long weekend for a wedding in Kelham island. Khateeb was incredibly responsive, accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. The weather was particularly hot during our stay, which was a bit of a concern with our baby, and he dropped off a fan to help us cool the apartment down (which was massively appreciated). The flat was very clean and tidy and the sofa bed was set up ready for our arrival. The location was excellent, we recommend The Grind Cafe just across the bar. There was ample parking a short walk away and even though the apartment is in the heart of Kelham island, it wasn’t too noisy throughout the night. Would highly recommend!

We had the most amazing time in your home Stuart and Angela. ❤️ You made us feel so welcome from the moment we stepped in. The views were breathtaking and the peace and quiet at the cottage was just what we needed. The views of the village, the sun set and the full moon were all beautiful gems we got to experience at Top of t’hill. You really have made it a cosy and comfortable stay, and it was a perfect getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The gym and sauna were great facilities that we benefitted and enjoyed too. Your eco environment friendly home and surroundings was an inspiration to us. Finally, your hospitality and kindness, and lovely chats with us made us feel like old friends! I love this flat it's ideal if you have mobility problems and want to be on one level. it flows well. lovely bedrooms great well stocked kitchen. large shower. the area is beautiful on the canal and there are fabulous communal gardens just outside the pretty courtyard garden are that are full of beautiful flowers. beds are comfy and the owner is always fast to respond.

Had a great stay in this immaculately modernised and comfortable apartment on the edge of a cute village. Well placed for lovely drives and walks. Everything you could need is provided, including a very well stocked kitchen, an excellent welcome guide and a few provisions. Andrea was very helpful with instructions on the location and parking and although we didn't need her help during our stay, we felt that we could contact her anytime. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
