Founded in 1957, my grandfather, Eiichi Tanuchi, ran an inn called Aiwasho for the cultural development of Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture. In order to continue to protect its history and traditions, his granddaughter, Kiushuko, reopened the inn under its original name in 2021. Built on the site of Ueno Castle, this inn is a traditional Japanese house with tatami mats on the floor. Please relax in one of the two Japanese-style rooms. The inn is located on a hill overlooking the city of Tanabe, so you can enjoy the morning sun, sunset, and night view. On a calm day, we recommend having tea in a wicker chair on the edge of the hinoki cypress wooden deck, which was made in the image of the moon viewing platform of the Katsura Imperial Villa. The newly installed bath and toilet are spacious and barrier-free, so you can bathe together or use them easily even if you need assistance. We installed popin.aladdin (lighting with projector) in one of the Japanese-style rooms. It projects on the sliding doors You can watch TV, music, movies, etc. Enjoy BGM on YouTube before you go out in the morning. My parents, Kisaku and Shuko Tanai (Japanese), live next to the house, so please let me know if you need anything.

Unique secluded accommodations in an area designated as a Japanese Heritage Site with an area of about 700 ㎡ and a mountain height difference This house uses plenty of high-end wood cypress in a detached building built to accommodate guests. The building is located about 4F high There are no tall buildings around, so you don't have to worry about people's eyes, and you can see Wakaura Bay in the distance with a good view. Birds make you forget the crowded days. Located along the Takano Highway, it has great access to Mt. Takano, Osaka, Wakayama City, etc. This room has 2 single beds and 2 semi-double beds. You can enjoy breakfast in a Japanese-style room or relax on the sofa. We also provide free drinks. We can also accommodate English. You can enjoy the garden in all seasons, but especially in May when the roses are in full bloom and you can enjoy the wonderful fragrance. You can also have tea in the garden. There is a beach with a wonderful sunset 10 minutes away on foot, and there is also a walking course that dogs will enjoy. There are also spots nearby. Take the fish you caught home, and you can also enjoy cooking because the kitchen is fully equipped. There is also a roadside station nearby, where you can buy seasonal vegetables, fruits, and fish.
