Anil was a wonderful host and loved his charming bungalow in Salogra which is located right above the poster card pretty Salogra station, one of the stops for the toy train to Shimla. So if you are coming by train just hop on the train from Kalka station and you will be at the doorstep of Anil's homestay. It can be a micro mini trek to this pretty abode but as hill trekkers and walkers it was an added plus. There is a mini kitchenette with a fridge and gas stove etc.. and Anil generously provides all kinds of little goodies (including instant noodles) to resolve midnight food and chai cravings. This is a major plus especially if you dont want to preplan your meals or your stay. All the folks from the plains who visit the hills to recharge - Salogra, Anil, his pet Bholu and the home wont disappoint you one wee bit.

We had a wonderful stay at Naman’s place in Shimla. The property was exactly as described—comfortable, clean, and beautifully done up with a warm, homely feel. Naman was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience smooth and hassle-free. Our kids especially loved playing indoors and spending time on the spacious balcony that offers a lovely view. A special mention to the caretaker and cook, Chiranjeet, who took great care of us and served delicious, homely meals. A nice and private property on the Shimla bypass away from the crowded Shimla. The only problem is the unavailability of a suitable parking. You have to move around with your vehicle again and again even if you're staying for long as the local police will extend every kind of non-cooperation. Another aspect is if you are having any old member in your group then it might become difficult to access the home with ease. Otherwise, the property is safe and secured with scenic view.

Our stay at Jimmy's Homes was amazing—it felt like a secure, luxury apartment in the hills. Each room had a beautiful balcony view, and the apartment was ready before we arrived. It was well-equipped with amenities like a washing machine, water purifier, and heater, and the showers were especially relaxing. The living room was cozy, with a cute study table. Mrs. Poonam, the caretaker, cooked us breakfast, which was a lovely convenience. You can bring groceries or buy them from the complex store, but it opens at 10 AM, so carrying snacks or essentials is recommended since food delivery isn’t available after midnight. The password-protected lock was great, though a safe in the master bedroom would have been helpful. We noticed occasional static shocks, possibly due to a grounding issue, but it was minor. The house was well-lit, airy, and 10 km from Mall Road—peaceful yet accessible. We had a fantastic stay and sincerely thank Anuj and Mrs. Poonam for making it special!

Hidden Hills by Baha in Talyahar is a truly peaceful retreat—spotlessly clean, incredibly well-maintained, and surrounded by serene natural beauty. The check-in was smooth and hassle-free, with warm and responsive hosts who made everything effortless. Upon arriving I found everything that was needed to unwind... from coffee to eggs to even fresh milk, something that you only expect while visiting a friend or relative. Even the bathroom was well stocked with all kinds of shampoos, conditioners and toothpaste to name a few. It’s the perfect place to unwind and escape the noise of daily life. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a clean, quiet, and refreshing stay in Himachal Pradesh. It's not an Airbnb experience, it felt like another home for me.

"Wonderful Stay with Great Location and Amenities!" The property offers a beautiful view, is clean, and very spacious. The caretaker was extremely helpful and responsive throughout our stay. It's conveniently located just 700 meters from Mall Road—an easy 5 to 10-minute walk. The kitchen was well-maintained and had everything we needed. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!
