I have no words to describe how good our experience was at this apartment. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The room was spacious and clean. I felt like it fully encompassed the Japanese living experience. Mikiko was kind and friendly, always answering our questions and giving us recommendations for things that we wanted to do. Thank you so much! We will be back :).

We stayed here for few days during our Japan trip. The house was beautiful and you can get a true guesthouse experience. Location was good, in a quiet neighborhood and not too far from public services and some good temple sights with almost zero crowds. Owner was very kind and responded quickly to any questions. Book this if you want to experience living in a traditional Japanese residence.

A very nice apartment, with great design and in a good location. Has 2 toilets and 2 showers, which makes it great for families. About 150m away from the nearest convenience store and about 200m away from the nearest bus stop. The host is very nice, helpful and responsive. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing, only 35min walking distance from Kyoto train station. Going there the Taxi didn’t want to take us all the way to the Airbnb but it is only 7min walking distance, a little of a hustle if you have luggage with wheels but totally worth it. Great location, and on the way back we walked to the station and it was a great walk. The place is super traditional which makes it a very unique experience. We only spent one night there and were out most of the time so didn’t use anything else besides one of the beds and the bathtub which is super cool 😎 recommend 💯

The place was beautiful with a traditional Japanese style, and the experience of sleeping on the futon was wonderful. The accommodation overlooks a small stream that separates it from the river by just a street, about 50 meters away. The surrounding area is lovely, with plenty of activities and good restaurants. I really enjoyed the stay, and the front desk lady was extremely kind and helpful. I wish I knew her name so I could mention it here. Thank you for this beautiful experience 🙏🏻

Beautiful apartment, in a very traditional style. Very clean and quiet place! You feel right at home as soon as you walk in. The host is very friendly and prompt with assistance if needed. Recommend A+!

This is a wonderful, walkable location to everything Kyoto. If it is not walkable, then the station or bus stop surely is to get to where you need to go. We found it to be amazing, convenient, comfortable, quiet to sleep, and in a great location. Would definitely recommend! Also host is very responsive and provides great amenities, such as a washer and fridge.

Our stay at Playzendo was perfect! Great location and the washer made it easy to refresh and clean our clothes. Highly recommend if you need an easy and convenient spot to stay in Kyoto!

the location was at a great place, right next to fushimi inari shrine. had your own room and your own washing machine. the host was proactive and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay in Kyoto. It was in a great location and we were able to get to everything fairly easily. The space was small, and there is not space for oversized luggage. We carefully laid them on the bathroom floor near the windows and that still gave us enough space to move about. The rest of the flooring is tatami mats so you need to be very carefulnot to roll luggage on it. You also have to walk up a narrow stepped staircase for 3 floors to make it to the room so please keep that in mind. It had beautiful traditional japanese touches that made it stand out. The open air bath was a lovely feature and I especially enjoyed that. It also has a door for privacy. My husband and I did notice that it is not possible to fill the bathtub while the shower was on, so I would suggest filling the bathtub before you shower. Keep these things in mind when you are deciding if it's right for you. Overall, it was lovely and the japanese beds helped our bodies recover from each day of walking.

Our stay was fantastic! The apartment is in a great location — super convenient with lots of excellent restaurants and local spots just a short walk away. It had everything we could possibly need and made us feel right at home. The area is vibrant during the day and calm at night. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. We’d definitely stay here again!

It was a wonderful stay. Lovely and quiet but still accessible to the 2 stations in walking distance (Fushimi-inari and Inari station). Great location to get to Fushimi-Inari shrine as well. We had a lovely time and spent a good few nights grabbing some easy food from the local convenience stores.

The Kyoto apartment was well positioned, close to several bus lines and only about a five minute walk from the river and many restaurants and bars. The washing machine was appreciated and it felt more down to earth to get the experience of a proper apartment while on our travels. The hosts were very communicative and made us feel well hosted.

The host is the most amazing and kind hosts I have been across in my 9 years of being with Airbnb. He picked us up from the station since we had large bags and a baby stroller. We had a good time at his cafe where he hosted breakfast for, he also had fruits ready for us when we arrived. The location is also simply perfect in terms of connectivity to public transport, restaurants and supermarkets. We hope we can stay here whenever we visit Japan again.
