This place is exactly as all the other five-star reviews describe. The host is considerate, kind, and responsive. The space is quiet yet close to several major stations. The instruction manuals for the indoor equipment are clear and thorough. I can see how much care the host has put into ensuring our comfort through all the thoughtful details. We’ll definitely book here again if we visit Osaka in the future!

We absolutely loved this stay for our 5 nights in Kyoto. While not convenient to public transportation, we had fully intended to use taxis to avoid the heat when needed anyway. We loved wandering Gion and the nearby shrines and temples in the evenings. Plenty of great food nearby as well as grocery and convenience stores. The bed was so comfortable; the shower pressure was awesome, and the kitchen well-stocked for the few meals we cooked at home. Be sure to spend an evening across the way at the tiny little bar - the owner is super friendly and drinks are perfect.

We really enjoyed sharing each others stories, she also made us feel right at home. The place was clean, cozy, and comfortable. It was a wonderful experience in Osaka, and we hope to come back again next time!

Great location! Nishiki market was a 2 minute walk. Family mart was just around the corner. Everything was close and convenient. We love the free refreshments and some nice gifts when we arrived. We love it so much we’re already planning my next trip. LOL

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Hana’s machiya, it was a highlight of our trip. It was much more comfortable than staying in a hotel and we got the experience of living in an authentic Japanese style home. The house is beautiful, tastefully furnished, well-equipped, extremely clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed our morning coffee and tea with a view of the lovely Japanese garden. The hosts were extremely responsive and thoughtful. We would love to come back and stay there again.

I had a fantastic experience staying at this property. The host provided fast and clear communication, especially with the check-in instructions, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. It’s conveniently located near public transportation and convenience stores, which made getting around and grabbing essentials super easy. I truly appreciated the thoughtful touches and overall hospitality.

We had a very comfortable stay. The room was well-organized and located on the 9th floor, so we barely heard any noise from outside. However, on some nights, we could occasionally hear loud motorcycles. There’s a 7-Eleven right below the building, and it’s very close to shopping areas and lots of restaurants. Most importantly, it’s extremely convenient for those traveling by subway – the station is just a short walk away! The only downside for our family was that we rented a car, and parking fees in this central area can be quite high. The host was amazing – super responsive and very kind. Every time we messaged, we received a reply within 2 seconds!

We had a good stay. Mineral noise since it was in a residential area. Walkable to public transit and Nishiki Market. AC was very good. Washer and dryer worked well for small loads.

Nice house in a quiet neighborhood. Location gives fantastic access to the city through the Green Line (Karasuma). Easy to access from Kyoto Station shinkansen. Less than ten minute walk to the Aeon Mall. All facilities in working order. The washing machine is very useful in extending the usefulness of your carried clothing.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cottage. The house was very clean and spacious. For us, the best part was the location. It truly felt like we were locals living in the community where Cozy Cottage is located. All of the staff were also very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time, and the stay definitely made our time in Kyoto extra special. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a bit of a slower pace in Kyoto.

Ok folks ...dont look any further ... We have stayed at many Airbnb's and this was the best ... in every way. From the great location, the amazing home with authentic decorations to the nicest hosts we have had the pleasure of meeting. 5 min walk to train or bus. 10 min from monkeys. bamboo forest and all the cool places in the area. Easy access to all of the other trains to everywhere else you want to visit. Such a lovely place to stay ... if we come back to Kyoto we would stay here again. Did I mention the best hosts ever? Really not joking about that. If this location is open and you are coming to Kyoto - just stay here.

This house is lovely awesome and perfectly clean. Our stay was wonderful and more worth the price. The private onsen inside the tiny Japanese garden is beautiful. The location is very quiet, near the river and less 5 minutes by walk from the station and konbini. Everything you need is provided inside the house, so you don’t have to worry about

The time we spent at Jinn’s House was a highlight of our family trip to Japan. The house is perfectly appointed in a modern, but also traditional, Japanese style, with gorgeous details and a tranquil sculpture garden. The cypress tub is a dream. Jinn is the consummate host. He helped us with restaurant reservations and even arranged for an incredible private dinner with a local chef that was worthy of a Michelin star. We also took advantage of Jinn’s photography skills to shoot some family photos before departing. Five stars are not enough!!

The Ryokan is beautiful, typically Japanese and suitable for our trip with the big family. We admired the beautiful sliding doors, the typical floor, the large French doors and especially the incredibly wonderful Japanese garden every day.

One of most special Airbnb i've stayed. two adjoining parts—one a lovingly kept 100-year-old beauty, the other a slick, modern build—linked by a garden walkway. Inside, the highlight is a dramatic lounge filled with antique pieces and original details, while on the living side, the shower room is enormous. The setting is a calm, local neighborhood with easy bus and train access, and the host is unfailingly friendly and quick to respond.

Great location close to the station with lots of food/drink within walking distance. A Lawson right around the corner. I was initially worried that the upstairs rooms would be hot, but the AC was fine. Fair warning, the stairs are definitely treacherous.

It was a peaceful spot in Kyoto. The quiet local side of it added to the already culture strong area of Kyoto. It was in close walking distances to the convenience stores as well as temples and shrines. The air conditioning was fantastic and the furniture was very nice. I would like to thank the host for their clear instructions and their quick response time. As a first time traveller to Kyoto, I would love to come back to this guest house again.

One the best Airbnb spaces I’ve stayed in Japan. The host was extremely friendly and sweet and would respond very quickly. Overall loved the place :)

I am very pleased with my time at Naomi’s place! After a week in Tokyo it was nice to be staying somewhere with some space. The unit is on the third floor of the building and away from any street noise, of which there wasn’t much to begin with - it was easy to get a good night of sleep. The unit is equipped with anything you could possibly need. Having an in unit washer and dryer is so nice. I would gladly stay at Naomi’s place again!

Yoshie’s place was squeaky clean, comfortable and close to many amenities. She responded very quickly and was very welcoming. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay with our 7-year old. Would highly recommend and is a place I’ll re-book in the future.
