Spent the Easter weekend here and worth the while to switch off, relax, enjoy some fishing, walkable area and safe!

Highly recommended! Views are to die for, better described as magical. Host was very attentive. Witsand is the perfect spot to unwind and really feel like you are on holiday. We'll be back!

We had a fantastic stay. The house was beautiful, the view even more beautiful!! Each room is decorated with so much care. The house is super with sunny weather, then you can go to the beach, enjoy the pool and the beautiful garden. But also with windy, colder weather, the hot tub is wonderful. The indoor spaces then come into its own. I would recommend this stay to anyone

Our stay at Stonehouse Lodge Olive Farm in Stillbaai was unforgettable. The house is stunning, with 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms downstairs, plus 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The wrap-around stoop was perfect for al fresco dining or enjoying coffee while soaking in breathtaking mountain and sunset views. The pool table, table tennis, and swimming pool were fantastic for relaxation, especially in the hot weather. We loved kayaking on the river and spotting wildlife like peacocks, goats, cattle, buck, and horses. Alison, our gracious host, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and even offers a fun booze cruise for 7 pax at R900. A short drive to Stillbaai revealed charming local crafts. Highly recommend this gem! The starry nights, peaceful surroundings, and thoughtful touches made it an ideal getaway for our group of 6 adults and 2 infants. This is a must-visit for anyone looking for tranquility and adventure in one place.

Hannah's place is a minimalist concrete-built beach house, right on the edge of the Skulpiesbaai Nature Reserve, and beyond it Shelly Beach. The place has an arty, loft-apartment style vibe - right up our street - basically one large room with concrete floors, carefully curated vintage furniture, and a separate bathroom. Everything worked well, and the large sliding glass doors at the front and back of the property let the seaside air and light flood in. Stillbaai itself is a charming little holiday town situated on both sides of estuary where the Goukou River meets the sea - well worth a stop-over on the way to or from the Garden Route.

Elda was very responsive from our first message that we sent. She checked in regularly to make sure that our stay was going well. Edith was also very helpful. There were many recommendations from restaurants to things to do around Stillbaai. The house was perfect for two families as they have two separate sleeping areas so a lot of privacy. We will definitely stay here again when we find ourselves in Stillbaai again. Thank you Elda for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Lovely home on the Breede, great position and wonderful deck and braai area. Everything you need and the use of the SUPs and canoe is a bonus!

We had such a wonderful week at the Breathe cottage. It is so cute and the views over the river were just wonderful. Had coffee in bed looking out over the river and braai in the evening on the stoep watching the sun go down. The house was so well kitted with utensils and everything and more that you might need. We were sad to leave!

Great peaceful place on the river near the small and mostly unknown town of Vermaaklikhied. Well equipped place for groups. We brought a boat and the sights on the river was amazing! Could be a (better?) alternative to more popular places like Malgas.

What an absolutely amazing place, so peaceful and really beautiful surroundings, close to activities in Swellendam but away from the crowds. The perfect getaway with family. Lena was an absolute star.

Leigh’s house has unparalleled views of the river estuary. The home is very well appointed and in a secure estate. It’s close enough to moor your boat at the Breede river lodge which is very convenient. We will be back again for sure.

Great host! We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely braai area and kitchen. Great house within walking distance to very nice Coffee shops.

Great spot right on the beach! There was a spring tide and eroded a lot of the beach away, leaving quite a large drop from the deck with exposed rocks. Maybe not ideal for small children but the sand would probably recover again in the future. Otherwise it is an amazing beach holiday!

Lovely holiday stay! The location is superb, house is well equipped and you will be sipping your morning coffee, staring at the waves crashing against the rocks. About 50m, on the oppsite side of road is the Tidal pool - the best cooloff after a run, amazing!

Wow, what a place - extremely peaceful, extremely beautiful, perfect for seven of us. They even provided clean drinking water for all of us since the water from the taps wasn’t drinkable. The canoes were also a great bonus. Like others said before, the prepared hot tub was pretty hot when we got in but it was still fun, we just topped it up with some cold water from the hose if it got too hot. All in all, a really wonderful stay!

Wow what an amazing cottage in the most spectacular location. Every attention to detail in this eco-friendly cottage where everything is off grid with great respect to its environment. Loved the hikes, view, the braai and location. Ilse and Cobus were very welcoming and have created a real memorable spot.

We had such a wonderful stay. The view is absolutely stunning which can also be enjoyed from the comfort of every bed in the house as well as the couch! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need and the house is a lovely design with a bedroom upstairs which suited my elderly parents. We will definitely be back!
