Beachfront holiday rentals in Heraklion

It was absolutely amazing. Beautiful views from veranda. Gorgeously traditional house. A step away from a lovely beach. It was up a short, steep hill, perfect for us but might not be for everyone.

Our family really liked tis apartment, especially nice that there is everything for cooking!! This is very important! And the courtyard is great, very convenient! To the center 20 minutes walk, an interesting road. Good wifi, good bedding, beds. And pleasantness from the owner. Thank you!

We had a great time at the place. Athina welcomed us and we took advantage of the setting to transit between the different tourist points (Cnossos, Spinalonga, and surrounding beaches) and the beach 5min walk that delighted us. We were a family of 4 (with 2 small children) and we were not missing anything. Thanks again

An oasis of calm close to the seafront, harbour and old town. The house is beautifully renovated and as all that you need for your stay. Communicating with the owners was excellent & we got an instant response. It would have been helpful to have a bit more information about services in the immediate area especially grocery shops. Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend to others.

Stella's Home was the most positive Airbnb experience I've ever had (and I've had some really lovely ones). The place is beautiful and the views are some of the best I've ever seen with the beach being only a 6 minute walk away. Stella was also an exceptional host. She stocked the fridge with some complementary groceries which made for a really positive start to our trip, especially after a day of traveling. It was also one of the most thoughtful things a host has done for one of my stays. Stella was also very communicative, checking in to make sure everything was going well for us and if we needed anything. The hot tub was amazing, the house was spotless and comfortable, the description of the space completely accurate. 5 days was not enough for us here and if I ever make it back to Crete, I will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend!

Excellent stay with Myron who offered to pick us up from the airport. In less than 20 minutes we were at the destination with a warm welcome and very useful information. The accommodation, in all respects consistent with the photos and description, is ideal for two, everything is very well thought out. It is located 100m from the beach and the Havana Beach Bar (which offers free sunbeds if you take a drink and good homemade dishes) and several tavernas offering traditional Cretan cuisine at an excellent value for money. The bus stop to Heraklion is 200m away and takes you there in about thirty minutes depending on traffic, there is also an express bus to the Palais de Cnossos. We recommend 100%.

It is pretty nice place with everything you need to stay, host is really great - got room ready 4 hours before they should, gave us better room as it was available.

Vasilis and Magdalena were amazing to deal with, responding immediately no matter the time. The accommodations are excellent, spacious, comfortable with each of the 3 bedrooms having their own bathroom and perfectly located on the 7 km beach with the bonus use of the pool next door. There is parking but it’s a narrow dead end street and we did get stuck a number of times behind service trucks for the restaurant next door. Easy access by bus into the town centre. It’s a perfect holiday spot for large families and friends.

The room was beautiful - the first rays of sunshine fell in the morning. Two beaches were easily accessible on foot, as well as shopping. The accommodation was very clean, towels and bed linen were changed regularly. I particularly enjoyed the pool, cooking in the room and the warm friendliness of the staff. I would highly recommend this accommodation to everyone! :)

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The house was even better than the pictures—spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated. Our host went above and beyond to make our trip special. They were incredibly attentive, offering fantastic local recommendations and even arranging a taxi service for us, which made everything so easy. To top it all off, they surprised us with homemade traditional Easter cookies, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. We felt so welcomed and cared for the entire time. Highly, highly recommend staying here—you won’t be disappointed!

Had a great stay! Thank you for your warm hosting, as well as your responsiveness and flexibility. The Airbnb is very well located: about 20-25 min from Heraklion by car and 10 min from the center of Hersonissos. Not having a vehicle, I got around by bus or taxi. There is a stop right in front of the accommodation (at the Zorbas Village Hotel) or another stop about 15-20 minutes walk. It is better to have a car to get around, go shopping because the Airbnb is a little out of the way, there is no hypermarket nearby on foot, it is a tourist area with many hotels, the molo café opposite offers free deckchairs. The location is very nice and safe, there are a lot of buses, taxis, cars but it's not too disturbing. The sea is right across the street, not even 2 minutes away, the view from the garden is great (of the sea and the mountains). The accommodation is comfortable and perfect for one or two people. I would definitely stay again.

We had a great time in this lovely villa. The outside is truly beautiful and we loved spending the day at the pool. Inside is also very nice especially with the brand new kitchen. We would love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Dimitrios’ house in Lygaria! The home is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The view from the balcony is breathtaking, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The location is ideal: peaceful and quiet, yet just a short walk to the beach and local tavernas. Dimitrios was an exceptional host, welcoming, responsive, and full of helpful tips to make our stay even better. One thing to note is that there are sound monitors inside the house. We’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing escape in Crete.

Together with my wife and daughter I really did enjoy our stay at Elenis Apartment! We had to leave Crete earlier than expected (due to some private stuff). Eleni was very understanding and accepted our request of shortening the stay. We got a refund of 3 days which was very accommodating!! The flat got everything you need, we spent most of our time on the balcony looking at the sea. The beach close by is nice and quiet. The next restaurant is in walking distance of 25minutes, we do recommend a rental car though.

The appartment was perfect, great location with a balcony and view of the sea. Close to nice restaurants and a quiet area. About a 10mins walk to the busier nightlife area. Was also easy to find taxis at the main street behind the appartment. The aircon worked well, and the flat had kitchenette ideal for 2 people. A small shower but worked well and we didnt mind it being small seeing you only spend 3mins of your day in it. Thanos was great at check in and check out and personally welcomed us even late on a friday night. he showed us around the neighborhood and gave reccommendations which was a nice touch.A really comfortable stay. Would stay again if we come back one day!

Very enjoyable stay. Manos is a great host from providing clear instructions to proactively checking in on us. Lovely little house which is so close to the beach and main road with lots of nice restaurants.

5 stars are not enough to give Komissa's. The home is beautiful, historic and unbelievably located. It was not lacking in any amenity and if it was Yvonne was available to provide it. I cannot say enough about how wonderful my stay was. Yvonne is a fabulous hostess; every recommendation was spot on and she was kind enough to take me to her favorite taverna where we were treated like queens. She goes the extra mile (kilometer) to ensure you have everything you could want or need. She makes sure you see the "real" Crete, not just what the tour books tell you. While the pictures are 100% accurate and completely represent the home, u you cannot see just how centrally located the home is until you are there. And the rooftop! So peaceful and surrounded by so many beautiful plants I cannot wait to come back, now that I've traveled through Greece, i can spend my entire vacation at Yvonne's home. 100 stars all the way and i can't wait to come back to Ag.Pelagia! The Airbnb was perfect! Everything as described, literally 1 second away from the beach, there are many restaurants and bars close by. The view from the balcony/rooftop was incredible, the sunsets were to die for! The communication was very quick and friendly. All in all I recommend this Airbnb to everyone who wants to have a good time in Gouves. Thanks for everything and we will definitely come back!!
