Timberwood Tiny Home is a place to rest your head & heart in Efland, North Carolina. The peaceful retreat is down a country road approximately 10-minutes from downtown Hillsborough. The 200 square foot tiny home is on a private corner of 8-acres shared with our main house. It features Scandinavian-style details, two beds, a spacious porch, abundant natural light, a wood-fired hot tub, barrel sauna, cold plunge, and more. There are features of the home that may make it unsuitable for children.

Second floor of recently-built garage apartment in a charming, peaceful Durham neighborhood. Twenty minutes to RDU Airport, five minutes to Duke's East Campus and ten minutes to West Campus, we are an easy walk to a range of locally-owned restaurants. Lovely, light-filled apartment has a bedroom, full kitchen and living area, bathroom, private entrance, and patio with seating. Occasionally, we may have first-floor space available at extra cost. Located within a short 10 minute drive of Kerr Lake; Satterwhite Retreat offers boaters, fisherman, motocross bikers and the entire family a relaxing getaway. Conveniently located off I-85, Satterwhite Retreat is in the heart of lake country & a short drive to Clarksville, VA, Warrenton, Oxford & Henderson, NC. Boat and RV parking available. A boat charging outlet is conveniently located adjacent to the parking area. TV's in living room and one guest bedroom. Well-lit for night arrivals.

Woodleaf Wayside

An 1850s cottage listed on the National Register of Historic Places was the Plantation Office for the Massenburg Plantation (Woodleaf). It was restored in 1990 and afterwards, became rental property. This two-story, cozy hideaway has a private drive and patio. Native stone and hand hewn beams in basement bedroom provide an unique stay. Full kitchen, modern bathroom, and washer/dryer. Come and go at your leisure. You will receive a keypad combination a day before your scheduled check-in.

Bracey Historic Train Depot

Want to step back in time to the late 1800s? A stay at the historic Bracey Train Depot offers exactly that—plus modern comfort. The Depot is one of the few surviving historic buildings on Bracey Drive, alongside the old post office across the street, the general store next door, and other local landmarks. This stretch of Bracey Drive feels quietly tucked away, just around the “cut,” yet it’s conveniently located less than half a mile from I-85.

Located less than 5 minutes by car to downtown Durham with easy access for those who prefer to travel by bicycle or foot to the Ellerbee Creek trail. Centrally located to Duke University and Duke Medical. Perfect for longer stays for visiting professionals as well as shorter stays to enjoy all Durham has to offer.

It's perfect for families, fisherman, lake-goers, or travelers who prefer a home while visiting the area.
