Beachfront holiday rentals in Hawke's Bay Region

one of my all time favourite holiday stays in the north island, loved sharing it with friends this time. Simple in the best possible old school kiwi bach sense, but with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Wonderfully remote to get away from it all, beautiful scenery and fantastic outdoor space to relax in any weather.

The home was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the very short walk to the beach, the view was incredible and the neighborhood was outstanding. Annette was easy to communicate with and she responded quickly to any questions. I would definitely stay at this home again when I return to New Zealand.

A great holiday home in a beautiful location. Loads of room inside and out with wonderful views. We had everything we needed for a relaxing few days.

Carolyn’s house is a true gem! the house is spacious, great bathroom and very well stocked kitchen. and the location!!!! the grounds literally touch Lake Taupo, it does not get better!! The communication with Carolyn was very easy, she also responded always very quickly. We had so wonderful days at the house, and can’t recommend it enough

We had a lovely stay! We arrived in the dark and waking up to that view was something else! Such a special spot to take little ones, being able to come back and forth from the beach as we pleased was fantastic! Also loved the family feel of the Bach - you could tell there were many happy memories had there over the generations! Very accomodating hosts with great communication. We would love to visit again. Highly recommend

Thankyou for having us Jeff. Mahunga beach is absolutely fabulous where we spent most of our time. We had fun playing cricket in the large front yard & the kitchen was great to cook in. Highly recommend this place for large family trips as there is lots of beds & rooms for everyone’s comfort & privacy. Thankyou for hosting myself & my bridesmaids for my wedding. Looking forward to coming back next time!

Wonderful place, such a great location. Great front deck with the best view around, and a great quiet back deck area shielded from the weather. 5/5 would stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay at George's place! While it is an old bach that is showing it's age in some places, it is comfortable and cozy with everything we could possibly have needed including a thoughtful array of snacks. And then there is the view which is UTTERLY STUNNING! Perched on the dunes overlooking the beach, the deck was a great place to watch the sunrise and then take a walk on the beautiful sand beach, play in the waves, watch the surfers...My one concern is the path from the bach deck to the beach which is pretty treacherous (a bit steep but I found that part fine). Path is overgrown with a haphazard array of possibly some previous steps made of concrete stones, wood, old tires (I think). Where the dirt and sand are exposed, it was pretty slippery after a rain. We gathered some "walking sticks" from the beach to use going up and down which helped. Still, this was not enough of an issue to deter our delight.

The place was fantastic.very well equipped.the views were absolutely fantastic.very comfortable.our group were very impressed .we could not fault it at all.we would definitely book again.

We stayed at Hieke's beautiful home for 2 nights. We found it exactly as described on the listing, and even better than expected. The bedroom was large, bright, clean and tastefully decorated. It felt like home immediately. The en-suite bathroom and thoughtful touches like a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities were a bonus. Hieke was so welcoming when we arrived, showed us around and made us feel at home immediately. We were able to use the kitchen to cook, and bikes to explore Napier. The spa pool, swimming pool and communal areas in the house which guests are able to use are a bonus. Breakfast in the morning was just right and very tasty. Most of all, Hieke and Peter were so friendly, warm and interesting to talk to. We had a wonderful stay with them and would recommend their place to anybody.

Great location, straight onto the beach. Went to sleep listening to the waves. Ran 10Km in both directions on safe paths by the water. Local fish & chips too. Big comfy bed. Basic but everything I needed, loved it. Very friendly hosts.

Clean and tidy apartment, right on the waterfront, ample parking and a 10 minute walk into the hustle and bustle of Taupō. Recommended.

Kerry had a great Airbnb, we were here for the HB Marathon perfect location to get to the start line and 8mins from the bars and restaurants. Kerry was sooo lovely, we loved how she introduced herself to us and had some great chats making us feel super welcome. Would definitely recommend and would definitely rebook 👌 Thanks again Kerry

Stunning location. Stepping out onto the beach was absolutely divine Geraldine was a lovely host, responsive and helpful. Very cute location. I would love to go back. Very doable to get to Gisborne especially if you hire a car.

Loved our stay. So close to the beautiful, mostly deserted beach - which was ideal. Loved the wrap-around deck, ideal for soaking up the morning and afternoon sun.

An actual bed and breakfast with breakfast and coffee and everything supplied! These guys know what they're doing and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The spa on the beach under the stars is next level relaxation. Thank you team!

Hayley’s place was the perfect home away from home! The space was incredibly comfortable, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Being right next to the beach was such a treat. The amenities were top-notch and everything was spotless and thoughtfully set up. Hayley was a wonderful host, making sure we felt welcome and had great sets of instructions for all the equipment. Would absolutely love to stay here again – highly recommend!
