This house was so beautiful and was a perfect place to spend a girl’s weekend! Would recommend over and over again and would definitely stay here again! Mike was also very quick at responding (even on the weekend) and when something wasn’t right he was very quick it fix it.

This is our 3rd year in a row to come for an extended Labor Day weekend and bring our kids and/or grandkids. We love the setting. The pool is perfect for the younger kids and the adults appreciate the beauty of all the surroundings, including at poolside. If we could change anything at all we would add another bedroom as we can't quite get all of our extended family here at one time. That said, we would like to return for a 4th year at Labor Day weekend time next year. The combination of beauty, privacy, amenities, condition (always in great shape!), and proximity to lovely South Haven can hardly be beat!

This is the second time we have had the pleasure of staying with Harriet. It is an amazing place located in a great spot to get to the beaches, restaurants and fun things to do in town. Communication with Harriet was easy and she was very quick to respond the couple of times we communicated with her. We highly recommend staying here and we can't wait to find another excuse to stay again!

Jennifer’s home was absolutely amazing—beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared in every way. It was the perfect place for our family getaway. The kids had an incredible time and are still talking about all the fun they had. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. We loved our stay. It was just as described. Very nice place and peaceful. Judi has anything you could possibly need. Everything we forgot, she had. Including aspirin and travel sized bottles of mouthwash. Her communication was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay here! Thanks, Judi!

The location of this house is in a private quiet setting but close to so many things. The kids loved looking out the front window and seeing the horses right across the street. The house was very clean and exactly how it was described, nicely decorated without over doing it. We utilized every part of the large property for volleyball, football, cooking out and eating at the picnic table, bonfires for making smores and picking wild flowers. The pool and hot tub was very clean and nice. The bedrooms are large and perfectly accommodated our family of 10 with 2 littles in pack n plays. There were plenty of items provided to make our stay easy, dishes, cookware, pool towels, board games, and pool items. Brandon was a great host and extremely responsive before and during our stay. When we had a question about the air conditioner on our first night, he responded within 10 minutes and then sent someone out to handle it. I would highly recommend Brandon and this house for a family get away.

What a beautiful home and location. I was kinda sad to walk in and didn’t have fresh eggs that others gave mentioned. There wasn’t any light breakfast items. Which did not turn me off of the place. I’m sure if I would have brought it up, Cody and his team would have responded. Cody was very responsive and even allowed us to tack on another day last minute. Based on the pictures it appeared to be more secluded than it actually was. However, that is lake life. I loved watching the birds while fishing from the dock. Caught a bunch of what I call bait fish, babies, even a perch. While the area is very congested with homes the area was very quiet and peaceful. I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you Cody and the rest of your team for being amazing hosts. Oh, Cody, I did finally land a bass!!!

A wonderful lake house for my family. The house has everything you need. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking and there's lots of fun stuff for playing on the lake. Very comfortable inside and out. We had a great time!

Thanks to Nate and Austin for taking on stewardship of this place and letting us all experience it and being excellent hosts. Bigger and more extravagant houses can't match how a thoughtfully designed simple space can make you feel. There's a lot of information about the history of the house to peruse and the artwork from the original owners is a great connection to the past. It was a great stay at an important place in Wright's career.

We loved waking up to the birds and the beautiful lake views. The house had everything we needed. We slept so well each night. Meredith was an amazing host. We would definitely stay again when we are visiting family in West Michigan.

A stunning house architecturally; the view of the river through the trees from the floor-to-ceiling windows was fabulous. Even the indoor mirrors were carefully positioned to provide views of the outdoors. It rained for two days while we were there but we were content to stay inside and watch the river go by, while the chipmunks, squirrels, and birds busied themselves right outside the windows. Finally, the under-floor heating worked well.

Our stay at the cottage was eventful as we had tornadoes close by on the Thursday night of our weeklong stay. We lost power and I texted with Justin with immediate response. He continued to text me to provide updates and we worked together to make our continued stay as safe and comfortable through the lengthy outage. The cottage was clean, very well maintained and stocked of kitchen tools and household items. We had everything we needed to help prepare food for our nephew’s grad party. We will definitely recommend this to any family staying at Gun Lake. It’s a great cottage. Try Russo’s for dinner when you stay. The food is delicious AND they have gluten free options!

if I could give our host and the place 10 stars I would! communication was spot on, the place was so clean and beautiful! it was by far the nicest airbnb we have ever stayed in. so we'll stocked and we had the use of kayaks, paddleboards... right on the water with a beautiful relaxing view. we were at Hun Lake for a large family reunion and this was perfect for us! thank you Kevin for letting us stay in your beautiful home Holly and Doug Tripp

We loved staying here! Our hosts Kristy & Tony were polite & responsive. This was our best experience with an airbnb anywhere! We felt at home and thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It felt like home, and it was outfitted with everything we needed! As soon as we arrived we felt as if we could have moved in and stayed forever, it was so cozy! The property itself is beautiful. We saw several deer, several raccoons, squirrels, and many birds. The creek was clean and peaceful. The hot tub was indeed hot and everything worked well. The bathroom was clean and stocked with soaps, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and even extra toothbrushes which was wonderful as my wife forgot hers at home! The bedrooms were cute & had easy to access storage which was nice. However the best part of staying here was enjoying the kitchen. Not only is it well equipped with everything you would need to make any meals, it has a fantastic view! 10/10 loved staying here!!! We will be coming back again!!

Despite the short notice, our stay at this place was truly exceptional. The space was not only welcoming but also incredibly spacious, providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience throughout our visit. This beautiful Airbnb was quiet and surrounded by beautiful nature. We truly enjoyed seeing various animals in their natural setting. The house was beautiful and spotless. It was comfortable and welcoming, allowing us to relax fully. Joe was very responsive and helpful, answering all our questions and making us feel at home. This stay was just what we needed during our busy move. In short, our stay was a perfect mix of peace, beauty, and great hospitality. We truly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend it for anyone needing a peaceful break.

We absolutely loved watching the Canoe teams while eating chicken tacos we cooked up in the kitchen on the deck, facing right over the water! We cannot wait to stay again, it was a perfect private area to relax and quick drive to the John Ball Zoo for the Chinese light festival. Thank you again ☺️

Great Stay, we were only there for one night for a wedding but it was great to hang out in and had plenty of beds and was a nice overall place. Wish we could've stayed longer to enjoy all it had to offer.

I stayed Thurs–Sun and couldn’t have asked for a better solo retreat. I run a wellness business and needed a change of scenery to rest, reflect, and reset. This space delivered all that and more. The home is spotless, everything thoughtfully arranged. The kitchen is fully stocked with a separate pantry, which made it easy to cook all my meals. The soaring ceilings, sliding glass doors, and screened patio created the perfect indoor-outdoor vibe. I never even went to the beach, between the peaceful yard, woodland trail, and hot tub, I didn’t want to leave. My dog loved it too. Johnny and Michelle were responsive and kind, quick to help with a Wi-Fi question, then gave me space to unwind. Favorite moments: morning runs on Lake Shore Dr, sunset cocktail walks to Sundown Park, chill music on the Bluetooth speaker, and lunch at Penny Royal (the veggie sando = 10/10). If you’re looking for a peaceful, elevated stay that feels like a proper reset, this is it. I’ll be back with friends!!
